Haiz.... should i write an official email to Maybank & cc BNM to tell them kinda pointless have maybank 2 card... the Amex basically is useless majority of merchant not accept amex anymore, today i buy book at Boarders they reject , lunch at Ben's Reject Amex ,  buy clothe at padini reject... sigh....
*
next time before buying anything ask cashier if they accept amex. if not then say i'll come back when you accept amex. tq and bye bye

then slowly the retailer realize more people wan use amex and get amex as their cc vendor

Basically it's whether they want to enable the terminal to accept Amex or not only....

If got demand, maybe they'll consider.

But most places I go to still accept Amex.
*
yeah exactly. but too bad maybe their fees abit expensive, merchants tend not to use amex.

the statement is generated automatically irrespective to holidays.

when is ur bill date? when do you expect to receive the statement? why not call CS to ask? how about M2U?
*

normal. sometimes longer than 2 days.

you can view current bill amount in m2u liao. and transaction history too. the statement is just a duplicate of what's in m2u.
*
hahaha yeah but first time statement late. so abit para and just wondering if everyone also late

The 5% rebate based on transaction date or posting date?
*
Transaction date. It doesnt matter when it's posted as long as the payment is made on weekends.

Anything with interest = Stay away.

If you're desperate, just BT the amount to MBB and enjoy 12 months interest free instalment ( while promo last tongue.gif )
*
also to add to what u said...

anything with installment stay away. (except house & car) if u need to advance cash to buy something other than means you are already spending above your means.

Unless you already have the cash in FD, then go ahead with the instalment tongue.gif
*
but installment not good ler... locks ur credit limit and a portion of your monthly salary deducted for paying installment....

not to mention FD 4% P.A = RM2k x4% = RM80

you take installment 3.88% one time charge = RM77.60

what u earn is only RM2.40 laugh.gif

not worth it?

Ya still worth to have x5 points.
unless u got other cards to cover CB.
so I will monitor accordingly  biggrin.gif
if all CB card being max i still will use m2c for 5x points  tongue.gif
*
yeah definitely 5x is worth it...

but my online purchase card & backup for retail purchase is cimb platinum cash back.... sometimes petrol (especially if thursday petrol naik harga LOL)

all is done and strategize so that i got space for 5% CB for maybank on weekends to pay for bills and etc

I think there could be he/she dont know there is a cap for CB  rolleyes.gif
*
Hahaha i know la got cap for CB, but what to do... i calculate all my spending on weekend and its a total of RM1200...

5% CB = RM60 capped RM50 biggrin.gif

anyways mainly also cause my cimb cant rebate dining so i swipe with amex for x5 points

oh... previously i use another CB dining+online 5% with pbb quantum master.
but recently I applied another CB card - HLB Mach for dining 5%,
so my dining purely used on that card.
so my Amex more on petrol usage, and other retail spending on weekends whereas can use Amex.
*
yeah im quite interested with pbb quantum master to supplement for my dining expenditure and online purchases once my cimb maxed it's cashback, but i'll think about it la.. not in a hurry to apply for another anytime soon

i am a no annual fee credit card guy... if there is a annual fee, its not worth applying even if i can ask for waiver. banks are already rich, they dont need my annual fee to make them richer...

Pbb quantum same with m2c, free for Life for the AF
if HLB Mach is 1st year free AF, subsequent year 12 swipe per year will auto waived.
so is ok for me. i also hate AF, once AF imposed, i will straight cancel card. like UOB
it's my 1st cc since my 1st job, but cancelled ady
*
yeah the only reason im interested with PBB Quantum. yet again not in a hurry to spend money for cash back lol sweat.gif

and i really dont wanna bother with waiver with conditions la puke.gif dont apply at all is the best then got nothing to cancel... cool2.gif

so far m2c is still the best card la rclxm9.gif love my m2c...
