For those who made payment to PTPTN using this card through SC ebanking - JOMPAY, do you get any error with the Biller Code (34975 for Ujrah)?

Yes,same issue.I simply try key in the other code Pinjaman Konvensional 96933 and no bil error code comes out but I did not proceed for the payment.

I emailed ptptn ask whether can pay using the 96933 code since Ref1# is unique but they say need use the Ujrah code if ur loan is under Ujrah. (I assume typical answer)

1) How come SCB like that one?Same merchant but different bill code don't support?
2) Anyone has experience just pay using the 96933 code (although ur loan is Ujrah) and successfully received in the ptptn account?

Thanks

I just applied both Just One Plat and SCB Gold cash back in Jusco Seremban 2. Got a free foldable travel bag. Actually my intention was just to apply for the cash back card but the fellow told me there will be free RM 150 cash back once activate Just One. OK la, just apply first and not sure if it will be approved because my previous CCRIS record is not that good due to PTPTN. laugh.gif

But if not mistaken, the current promotion should be RM150 + RM150, the second rebate will be entitled if processed for auto bill payment

Actually you can get the RM150 New to Bank Customer without the need of getting JustOne Plat MC.

Fruitie, why not consider the Just One for insurance billing? You have GE right, it the amount is >RM2,500 one time, this card would be great, as it is considered (in my list) the 2nd highest CB for insurance. biggrin.gif

This reply will be slightly off topic from this thread.

This is according to my knowledge and analysis and it really depends on (a) whether the insurance can be pay online (b) the amount of the insurance:-

1) For insurance that you can pay online like AIA, Prudential, AXA etc:-

- With each amount of up till RM1k, it would be Public Bank Visa Signature. As for each insurance payment that you pay with difference PBVS, you get RM50 each. Below RM833.33 would be best as you get the maximum cash back of 6%. -> Hence the highest CB for insurance

- Alternatively, if you still have Wise card, use the RM1k for eligible categories and utilise the remaining RM1k for insurance payment monthly to enjoy the max CB of RM100. Hence insurance CB is about 4.29%, still higher than Standard Chartered Just One Platinum. -> Wise can be the 3rd highest highest CB for insurance if the amount is RM1k monthly.

- If the insurance amount is RM2k, you can still charge to Public Bank to get RM50 (only ~2.5% CB) but you can convert it to 9 months 0% installment.

- But if the amount is RM2.5k, might as well use Standard Chartered Just One Platinum where you get RM85 (~3.4%) instead of RM50 with PBVS only even though you still can convert it to 9 months 0% installment. -> This would be the 4th highest CB for insurance for this category.

2) For insurance that cannot pay online like GE, it depends on the amount and the number of PBVS you hold.

- If the insurance is RM2k, charge it to Aeon cc then use PBVS to pay Aeon CC. You would need roughly 3 PBVS to cover this payment and the CB is ~4.41% (4.04% from PBVS payment to Aeon cc + 0.4% from Aeon (RM2 = 1 Aeon point)). -> This combo is the 2nd highest CB for insurance.

- If the insurance is RM6k, you can imagine how many PBVS card you need to cover these payment. rclxub.gif

The reason why I said this Just One is the 2nd highest is because of (1) Combo of Aeon and PBVS is not ideal with those high insurance payment, like few thousand and above 2) Wise is only good if the insurance is RM1k MONTHLY or for that one month.

Conclusion: Still very much depends on whether the insurance can be pay online and the amount of the insurance. All these are until PBVS stop having this superb feature. Cheers~

Nice comprehensive reply - I'm sure many will appreciate even though slightly off topic. rclxms.gif

I use lazy method of everything charge to AEON CC, then pay using PBB VS + CIMB CR (using principals and supps, if they got spare quota) and as a last resort, SCB Gold Cashback. Even though my insurance premiums are really high, all my online cards can cover.

The 18.88% dining campaign actually already ended on end Aug.
I've received all the CB from 1st to 3rd round.
The last 3rd round CB was credited on Oct.
Do you check the tnc?
If I remember correctly, there is spend criteria of RM500 and the CB is based on FCFS basis.

Great, I didn't know it has fixed fares now. One of the reasons I don't use Uber is because it has no fixed rate like Grab. biggrin.gif
Now hopefully I will be approved by SCB, I had their card 3 years ago.

Introduced fixed fares last week I think.

I signed up to scb primarily for the RM300 acquisition offer that ended in Sept. But quite happy with it so far for online spend when I've exhausted my higher CB cards.

My worldmiles is one year next month. Just called to terminate, and the CS say they can waive. But i'll need to wait for it to appear in the statement and then call to ask for AF waiver. Is this how it works normally?

Other SCB Yes but No idea with World miles CC
last times they stated in T&C need RM100k Accumulate Spending p.a to get AF Waiver... hmm.gif

https://www.sc.com/global/av/my-worldmiles-...rms-jun2016.pdf
Fees and charges...
You must pay the annual Miles Membership Fee of RM636 (inclusive of 6% GST) for principal cardholders, which will take effect from March 2017.
The annual Membership fee will be waived if you spend at least RM100,000 per annum on the WorldMiles Card in the previous year.

Nothing special at all - just marketing marketing marketing.

As a general rule, better to stick to those agents you know and trust. I prefer to see mine face to face, rather than agreeing anything on the phone. These people are marketers with a goal to sell as many and as fast as possible.

I always tell them I'm not interested.

I think scb may charge the fee. sad.gif

- But if the amount is RM2.5k, might as well use Standard Chartered Just One Platinum where you get RM85 (~3.4%)
instead of RM50 with PBVS only even though you still can convert it to 9 months 0% installment.

Cheers~

To get d RM85 CB using Justone u need to spend RM540 on the 15%CB-category n the balance of RM1960 on insurance. If u spend RM2500 solely on insurance u only get RM5 CB. CMIIAW.

Sorry I overlook the part on autodebit of insurance, what about paying insurance online is it considered as online purchase which also entitled for 15%? I think this card is also good if u have spending on things that don't earn much CB from any CC, cos u only need to spend rm540 on those 15%-CB categories. Will look into this card, TQ.

I am not sure whether paying insurance online will be online purchase of insurance. Maybe need to check the MCC code on previous online payment of insurance to find out whether it falls into any of the 15% CB category. smile.gif

Just One will be out. The t&c of Just One card stated specifically cash rebate is excluding govt MCC, which one of the MCC was for PosOnline.

The usage of SCB Gold Card for PosOnline is merely to pay the BT to Aeon CC. The Gold Card has CB rate of 3.34% (RM50 for Spending of RM1,500), hence after minusing the PosOnline charges, it is still a positive CB as long as these CB online payment cc to pay for Aeon CC is more than 2.12% CB.

I asked for cancelling the World miles cc (only got it 6 months more) a few days ago and they call me back just now and extend for me 1 more year waive but i rejected it then i mentioned about this SCB Just One GOld Card they immediately reply to me no problem to exchange World miles cc from to this, look like they are more friendly than HLB customer officer blink.gif

So anybody can confirm if auto billing for insurance will entitle 15% CB ? exp my monthly insurance is rm3000, will i get rm85 ?

Depends on how much you spend. Below to around RM1.5k better use SCB Gold. More than RM1.5k better use Alliance Younique. Both have tier rebate but SCB Gold is capped at RM50 while Alliance Younique has no cap.

Cant confirm because my auto billing is not due yet so I have not experience it, but I believe it should be entitled to 15% CB and like what you mentioned, you should be getting RM85 for your auto billing of insurance of RM3,000

Just got my first statement for Just One Plat.

Does anyone know how is the CB for cumulative spend works in terms of the date of calculation? Is it 1st-31st or according to statement?

Update: Just saw this "A month is defined as the period which runs from the first day of a particular calendar month to the
last day of that calendar month."...meaning 1st -31st?

How about the method of redeeming the cashback? I don't think it's autocredited....

Update:"We will credit the amount of the CashBack to your credit card account or any other account we
designate within the 60 days after the end of the relevant transaction months. All CashBack earned
will not be automatically credited in the form of cash to your account. CashBack earned will only
be redeemable via www.sc.com/my. Please refer to the CashBack Programme terms in the
Rewards Terms."...means need to manually redeem?

I use Uber a lot for company travel, so the extra 20% is an added bonus.

I think klia2 has this MESRA INDAH JAYA teksi which is entitle for the world miles card redemption. it is stated in SCB terms n condition as per below:-

. To qualify, the Principal Cardholders must:
a) Book the service with Airport Limousine Services or KLIA Ekspres (“Service Provider”) at
KLIA or KLIA 2 and charge the cost of Service to their WorldMiles Card, where the
transaction is posted on the Principal Cardholder’s card account statement as being
transacted as follows:
I. 4111 KLIA EKSPRESS & TRANSIT
II. 4111 KLIA EKSPRES & TRANSIT
III. 4111 AIRPORT LIMO
IV. 4121 AIRPORT LIMO
V. 4121 MESRA INDAH JAYA

I always do this for the Citibank free limo. Walk right though the sliding doors. It is after Immigration and Customs, so no issue. Sometimes there's a guard there, but just say buying limo ticket.

SCB actually rejected my application that I did in mall. Nobody called me and straight rejected. Oh well, probably due to my earlier PTPTN record. laugh.gif

I didn't know and applied again over the weekend, they called and informed that I was rejected earlier so cannot apply again now. I have to wait till 3 months later.

OK lo, luckily I have no urgency to get the Cash Back Gold card.

Yeh, I had the same thinking. Best feature is Uber Promo and my last resort to pay aeon via Pos online if I max out the rest.

Nevermind, maybe by the time it's time to apply for SCB again you'll qualify for PBB VS, and can apply for supplementary cards too smile.gif. Hope that day comes soon. It's my most versatile card.

I was also thinking of the SCB WorldMiles. Seems good for travelling and 90k p.a., I'm 8+ now and if I add in lap lap zap zap, will reach 9+ in EA form. Not bad right? I believe it also has Uber promo but oh well gotta bid farewell to SCB for this year.

Wishing you good luck for next round of increment!! smile.gif. I remember the feeling when I was younger.

Now that I'm older I qualify for most cards except those invitation only. Will be a long time before I ever get there! But no point also because doesn't seem like those ultra prestige cards have real benefits.. And annual fees are high. If I ever get that rich, maybe I won't be so obsessed counting my cash back.

Anyway, SCB lost a good potential customer!

I've applied and cancelled and reapplied SCB at least 5 times over the past 8 years haha. Every time I see a good sign up promo, I apply again, and never keep each card for more than a year. And best thing is, everytime I cancel, they offer me retention cashback like RM50. It is amazing.

The best acquisition reward was RM300 cashback... And the lowest was the RM50 TNG plus smartyl tag. My recent application should also be eligible for RM300 again.

One year after you pay. Then as you approach your card anniversary, try your luck and call to waive. SCB normally quite lenient with waivers.

Definitely have to use a combination of cards. There isn't one card which can help you pay RM10k one shot to offset the 2.12%.

Most people use PBB VS (principals and supps), CIMB CR (principals and supps), SCB Cashback Gold, UOB Yolo. But even those combined cannot hit RM10k.

I'm new to the Gold Cashback card. I understand from previous posts that the cashback has to be manually redeemed (I managed to click to the right page), but just wanted to check when does it typically get paid out?

I spent RM1,500 in October, does this mean I should expect RM50 redeemable cashback to show up at the end of November?

to make things simple, what i did was to change my statement date to 1st of the month.. therefore, my statement month = calendar month, which simplifies tracking..

May be u should try to pay thru IPAY88 at the payment page as there is no additional fees (GROUPON SDN BHD PETALING JAYAMY)
instead of the direct creditcard (www.groupon.my http://www.grIE)
Different payment gateway.

Hi fly126, edwardccg

Is the cashback based on calendar month or statement month? Lets say my statement date is on the 8th every month, and I spend 1.5k today (Oct cb), and I'd like to spend another 1.5k on 2nd Nov do I entitle Oct and Nov cb?

Thanks.

Thanks. Oh yea, if I spend RM1.5k this month and redeem the RM50 cb, then the cashback for this would still be RM50? This month statement will end up RM1450 spend after offset the RM50 cb. rclxub.gif

Rebate doesnt have anything to do with the spending. As long as you spend RM1500 in a calendar month then you are fine.

Weird that I received this SMS like this

RM0.00:StanChart: MYR65.35 was charged to your card 95XX on 01 Dec at www.lazada.c. SMS 1 to confirm transaction or 2 not to confirm send to 62365

Whereby this is really my card and I called SCB and they confirmed this SMS was sent by them.

All the while, I never received such SMS to ask for confirmation and all are using OTP code.

I thought it is scam SMS but it is real.

Anyone did encounter this?

RM0.00:StanChart: MYR65.35 was charged to your card 95XX on 01 Dec at www.lazada.c. SMS 1 to confirm transaction or 2 not to confirm send to 62365

Whereby this is really my card and I called SCB and they confirmed this SMS was sent by them.

All the while, I never received such SMS to ask for confirmation and all are using OTP code.

I thought it is scam SMS but it is real.

Anyone did encounter this?

How long usually does it take them to approve the application. Applied the card for online transaction for Christmas gift shopping and Christmas is almost here already. If there any channel to speed up the approval process??

Call CS to check the status. They will usually tell you at what stage they're at e.g. documents submitted, pending approval, or embossing, or delivery. They can also give an estimate of timeline.

Good to see this thread. Seems can get rm150+rm150 by fulfilling the requirements then cancel the card if no waiver given when it is nearing 1 annual fee time.
Is there any catch on this promo? It seems like foc rm300 for new customers. And these new customers may not even stay and pay the AF.

No catch. Just follow the TNC. SCB acquisition promos are like that - they probably bank on attracting large volumes and hoping that the majority of people will not hit and run.

I think our LYN forummers represent a very small minority of the population. Most people don't bother to sign up and maximise promo then cancel.

Yes, as a general rule, groceries (and dining) is one of the "safest" categories for inclusion in retail spend for all credit cards.

not yet, waited few months.

This is the reply i received

Please be advised the cash back will be given to each Successful Eligible Customer regardless of the number of SCB Credit Cards applied for and duly approved. The type of cash back given will be dependent on the first card approved.

The Rewards will be credited to the Successful Eligible Customer’s Credit Card account within 120 days from the month in which the card was approved.

We would like to inform if you do not receive the cash back within 120 days from the month in which the card was approved, you must inform us within 130 days from the month in which the card was approved. We will arrange for the crediting of the cash back to you after the bank confirmed that you had fulfilled the requirement and the non-crediting of the cash back to the Successful Eligible Customer’s Credit Card account.

I just realised my Nov cashback (paid in Dec) is higher than expected.

I bought a laptop during the 11.11 sale from Lazada for RM1900. It was never delivered and they processed the full refund around 22 Nov.

I quickly spent RM750+ on Pos Online so that I could hit the threshold for 20% Uber rides (which also brought me over the RM833 cashback threshold).

Since I spent only RM900+ in total, I thought I would put get RM25. But got full RM50.

Anyone experienced this before, especially for refund situations (but refund was reflected in same month and statement) ? Did they claw back cashback subsequently?

Wondering if the current RM150+RM150 sign up promo is the best promo so far. I don't think I will sign up for auto billing so technically i will only receive RM150. Or should I wait for a better promo?

Edit: Seems like I can't find the RM150+150 promo anymore. Have they removed it?

Wow that's great. Please confirm again once cashback received so that we have more options to pay.

Seems like Gold cashback card is really quite flexible. I've been using for 2 months and so far pretty happy.

Lucky me! Paid with Just One Platinum CC for PosOnline and thought it is a gone case since the CB excludes government transaction. End up still receive the CB in full! I spent RM1k+ on flight booking and petrol and RM1.5k on PosOnline (payment to Aeon CC - back in Nov 2016). Sadly this is the first and last time getting CB for PosOnline!

Last time no one called me for about 3 days, so I called THEM to follow-up. Half an hour after my call, someone called me and e-mailed me with a list of documents. The process after that was very fast.

Better you follow-up rather than wait.

Last time, I called CS, gave them my application number, and shortly after, got a call from Price Solutions (the CC marketing arm of SCB) and an e-mail asking for documents. It was SO FAST after that.

For me, I just want things to be done ASAP rather than waiting indefinitely for someone to handle my case.

First card is always the toughest.

If you really want a first card and want to "test" if there are problems getting approved, I suggest you try first with your salary-paying bank.

Based on my experience, I had trouble getting my very first card (many many many years ago when I was young haha), even though my first salary in Malaysia was above RM5k and I had previous employment in other countries. My first successful CC application was thus from my salary-paying bank (Maybank), and they gave me a lousy credit limit (think it was just 1 month salary!). Gradually, once I started to build up credit record and slowly apply for credit limit increases, banks became much more relaxed in approving my applications.

Good luck, and hope you eventually get approved smile.gif.

Some forumers said that if you having too many credit cards on hand,
it will show on CCRIS also and may affect new card application.
And 1 reason is existing credit limit too high also affect on new card application.

Is it correct?

Cause my SC Credit card approved but OCBC and HL CC being rejected...

Not sure but most of my cards were approved with no hassle despite I hold more than 10 at one time. smile.gif Just sometimes will be rejected, so appeal or re-apply next time if I really want to. Every bank has different assessment, so just be patient and don't be disappointed if you are rejected. smile.gif

Agreed - 16k spend! And low yield. Totally not worth it.

Not sure why I'm not receiving any of these SMS... I've got significant hospital bills to pay (baby delivery) next week and it'd be perfect if I got the RM5k offer too.

They don't Auto Credit the Auto Billing CB to your Account You have to do Self Redemption from here: https://360rewards.standardchartered.com/my/

As for RM150 activation CB can check on Self Redemption also or call CS to enquire...

They don't Auto Credit the Auto Billing CB to your Account You have to do Self Redemption from here: https://360rewards.standardchartered.com/my/

As for RM150 activation CB can check on Self Redemption also or call CS to enquire...

I am planning to apply a SC Cashback Gold Mastercard (supplementary card) for my wife.

I saw the tnc stated 'The amount of retail purchases made by your supplementary cardholders will count towards meeting
your minimum retail purchase requirement to be eligible to receive the cashback.'

Does that mean the retail spent on supplementary card will only count as meeting the minimum retail purchase requirement but does not get cashback?

Redeemed my cash back just now, suppose to be RM25 can be redeem.

However, there is only RM10 available. Based on the recorded, one of my transaction has yet to be debit which I did on 31 Dec 2016 sad.gif

I thought all the transaction will be post based on transaction date right ?

In this case, not sure what is the transaction date for this payment.

For JustOne Platinum card:
Say if I have monthly auto debit insurance bill of RM1k charged to the card and nothing else, then my cashback will be 5% of 1k which is RM50 per month?

Congrats. You just can't stop earning from cards.. too bad i am an existing scb card member, too bad as i sm not using it , just keeping the card only because it was my first card.
*
If you're not using, can cancel and reapply after cooling off period (typically 3 to 6 months) to qualify for future acquisition offers.

This is my 4th round of cancelling and reapplying for SCB cards.

I had others bank credit card approved after scb and got more than 10k credit limit. Citibank even double up my credit limit as i applied another card from them.

Probably it's because my sister's first card is with SCB when she was first employed 17 years ago, it is quite a generous CL amount I must say. She said it was increased for few times over the year without asking.

Anyway, so nobody knows about my question earlier ya? Looks like I will need to call CS soon...

Later once my own card is approved, then I will get my sister to cancel my supp card. tongue.gif

Just noticed my sister has the SCB Cash Back Gold which she hardly uses. sweat.gif I want her to apply WorldMiles World MasterCard as well. Are the benefits extended to supplementary card as well? I'm quite lazy to reapply again, so just wanna her to supp to me instead. tongue.gif

Hope to get this card too.

Based on my usage, only Plaza Premium Lounge and RM80 taxi, and both benefits only applicable for principle card, but not supp card.

Not sure what is the benefits from this card you looking for ? If above benefits, pretty useless for supp cards then

Yes, those were what I'm looking at. Then, it's useless for me to be supp-ed. I will apply mine once my CCRIS is in order again as I just did something to my PTPTN payment months ago. I still can wait for this card as I have other cards for PPL and whenever I take taxi is for business trips which is paid by company. So not a big issue for me.

For now I will proceed with supplementary card from my sister for SCB Gold Cash Back as I'm dying for an all rounder card after PosOnline went offline for credit card facility. doh.gif SCB wants me to apply again 3 months later which is after Feb but I need one urgently. laugh.gif It's just too bad that my card will be linked under her SCB account though I have SCB online banking...

Say if I have monthly auto debit insurance bill of RM1k charged to the card and nothing else, then my cashback will be 5% of 1k which is RM50 per month?

After I get my supp card, I will stop my sister from using this card. laugh.gif I won't have sufficient time to reapply again as I will be travelling soon and I reckon supp card will be easier and approved faster than principal card.

Wait till I come back only apply again and see if they are willing to approve me this time. dry.gif

Hi,

A quick question on the SCB CB Gold. Is the rebates based on transaction date or posting date? Let's say I did a transaction yesterday and posted tomorrow, will it be under this month cycle or next?

Thanks.

Normally, when do we see the monthly cashback reflected in 360 rewards site? For example, January cashback is available by roughly when in February for redemption?

Just to confirm supplementary card of SCB Cash Back Gold is also entitled for cash back though combined with principal right? smile.gif

This month's spending can only redeem cash back by end of next month, correct?

My sis has no plans to use this card and she allows me to maximise it using the supp card. I also wanna use it for Uber rides. laugh.gif

I don't foresee much issue in my supp application and hopefully will be approved before my overseas trip end of this month. Due to time constraint, I don't want to try applying my own one now since rejected 3 months ago.

My first supplementary card since 2010 after I started working. laugh.gif Used to have one when I was studying, supp-ed by my sister. tongue.gif Damn pai seh to use my sis' supp card now though already working for 7 years plus. tongue.gif

Yes, spending within calendar month, rebate on end of next month, but you need to log in online banking to be redeem it

Supp card can be redeem on behalf of principle card ? Otherwise, the principle card holder need to redeem every month

PTPTN payment over counter can be entitled for cash back under SCB Gold CB? Does anyone have experience for this? I supposed yes since it is not under insurance or petrol.

I searched this topic but it seems only PTPTN via JomPay is 50-50, one got cash back while the other forummer didn't get. hmm.gif I wonder why since JomPay is not part of insurance and petrol as well? unsure.gif

Just made called to apply additional SCB Card - JustOne MasterCard

Since I'm currently holding SCB Gold Cadhbank card, so no income documents is needed to submit. Another department - Sales team will call within 3 working days

The purpose to apply this card is just for online purchase, but not for auto payment / petrol

If I use the cashback gold card and spend RM1500 for insurance payment , only RM 500 will be qualified for cashback ? Because from the first page , it's stated that RM1000 will be eligible for CB except for purchases involving petrol transactions and insurance . Anyone managed to get 5% CB paying RM1500 for insurance ?

U won't get any rebates for insurance or petrol transaction... 1000 is the threshold to earn the rm50 cb... but u r only eligible for rm50 cb when u spend rm1500 monthly

Paying 4200 on insurance monthly will nett you 0 cashback for SC Gold.

Can consider Alliance you:nique, which will give you RM 53.6 for 4.2k spending..

For that level of spending, consider HLB Fortune. You will get RM42 every month, plus a bonus of RM280 if you spend more than 38k per year (which you will, as RM4200 x 12 is approx RM50k). That means you'll get effective monthly cash back of RM65.3 if you use solely for your RM4200 insurance.

If you spend RM68k per year (which is only RM18k more than your insurance spending), you will get a bonus of RM880. That means total effective cashback per month is RM50 + RM73 = RM123.

There a HLB Fortune thread if you want to discuss further.

My sister gave me her login ID and password to access SCB as I will be using the supp card most of the time.

Every month I will be redeeming the cash back on her behalf but will the redemption go to principal card and not supp card? ohmy.gif

She won't spend a single cent on her principal card anymore but it's pointless if I spend on supp card but all the cash back goes to her card and cannot offset mine? sweat.gif Can somebody confirm on this part?

Edit: I think principal can select to go into supplementary. rclxms.gif

Yes ACCA should be online. But how was the foreign currency conversion rate? I normally don't use SCB to online for foreign currency transactions. With PBB VS I get 6% and a good conversion rate.

I think use SC just one platinum is the best as i can utilise to earn max RM 85 cash back and i do not have PBB VS.
Conversion is 1 GBD equal RM 5.668. Is this rate ok?

Doesn't sound too bad. Not sure how SCB ranks for foreign currency transactions, but you're right, makes sense to use SCB for the RM85. Out of curiosity, how much does ACCA cost nowadays? Luckily GBP is not so strong now.

For PBB VS, the max cashback is RM50 anyway, so SCB would be better. But I made my professional subscription payment during the PBB promotion period so I got RM100.

Cost around 100-150 GBP for one paper.
As long as not exceeding 5% from current currency exchange rate is ok. Still able to earn some if 5% CB.

Btw, JUST ONE PLATINUM cash back is out!

Got my card. Oh God, being a supplementary card holder is so much of pain especially I don't live with my sister. sweat.gif SCB doesn't allow to register my own phone no. for online purchases, OTP will be sent to my principal...

Luckily this is just a temporary measure until I get my own principal card. I will do it when I come back from India. I will check out my CCRIS before applying again.

I checked with CS just now and she mentioned I can have both supp and principal card for same type of card. That means I will continue be my sister's supp and I have my own principal card. Good thing also as I anticipate more purchases in coming months, helping colleague to swipe branded bags. icon_idea.gif 2xRM 50 cash back assuming my own card will be approved later.

Hi, my gf got 2 standard chartered credit card which is the gold cash back and platinum visa. Recently got the statement from the bank and charged her for RM 400+ annual fees.

I am just wondering would it be possible for her to cancel the credit card without paying the annual fees? Or cancel the card but pay the annual fees based on prorated, since the charges is for 1 year.

Anyone having experience about this?

You can cancel the card if you have no transaction before AF charged. However, you may need to paid if you have transaction after AF charged

Can try to call CS request for AF waiver, subject management approval

have a question about CB for SC Gold Cash Back Master Card

assuming my statement date is 1st every month, so:

1st Feb - statement consist of transactions on Jan
1st Mar - statement consist of transactions on Feb

assuming there is a payment made using the card on 15th Jan, but got posted late (i.e. 15th Feb) and appear in 1st Mar statement.

the CB will still be considered for month Jan (which had been distributed to us late Feb)???

Should be eligible for cashback, since it is Uber spending. Go through Shopback and get 20 cents also haha.

The Uber 20% cash back, I must spend RM 750 first to enjoy it or can I use Uber first then only spend RM 750 later? Should be OK right? Else how to cater for users who use Uber early of the month? hmm.gif

As long you hit RM 750 for the month. Cashback will be credited like third week or so the following month.

I guess it's based on transaction date. Haven't had any rides that cross over to the following month sweat.gif

Yeah, I also think so. Anyway, I'm still going to use it. I read TnC that it will credited to principal card as I'm a supp card now, hopefully can be transferred to supp card to offset against statement.

Hi all,

Anybody had any experience with late payment? My due date was 27th and I performed an IBG on the same day but after work hours. If my payment only reaches SCB on 28th, will the bank take it as late payment? sad.gif

If yes, is there a good chance to appeal for a reversal of the late payment? Also, will this be flagged under my CCRIS?

Thanks in advance!

One or two days will have no issue one. If really touch wood and kena, just call to waive, for first timers banks are usually lenient.

Thanks for your reply and hopefully no issues there. This is the 1st time that I missed due date after 5+ yrs of using CC.

I suppose no issue with CCRIS too because it depends on the respective bank's recognition of past due followed by the monthly submission of records to CCRIS. As long as my payment is received in the system before SCB submits CCRIS report, then I'm safe.

Now only left with late payment + finance charges for me to worry...

I'm trying to redeem the cash back and it requires a SMS OTP however I'm not able to receive the SMS OTP even after clicking resend. Happened since yesterday.

You should call CS for your application status.

I have addition applied SCB card by calling CS on 11 Feb (Saturday), and a return called on next 2 days (Monday) from another department regarding my card application.

Get the SMS on 20 Feb, ask to collect from Poslaju office due to unattended during card delivery

Thanks for your suggestion. Called the SC this morning - no application was found. They said the bank is currently very strict with CC application - need to check in detail, thus take a long time to approve. It takes longer than any other bank... sigh...

Does anyone know if the Uber 20% promo only applicable to Uber Malaysia? Or Uber worldwide? I have been charging my Uber transactions in India to SCB card and hopefully I will get 20% cash back. laugh.gif I don't think it's mentioned in its T&C, so anyone with experience can share. If it's not eligible, I will change the card to my YOLO card.
