the total spending of RM1500 to get Rm50 cash back is based on spending in calendar month or statement month?
*
to make things simple, what i did was to change my statement date to 1st of the month.. therefore, my statement month = calendar month, which simplifies tracking..

When I wanted to change statement date last week, they said only 7 is the earliest, along other 3 dates only.

maybe too many people set it to the 1st already.. too bad then..

Great. Thanks for that info. Because I want to pay for insurance which comes to about RM4200 monthly.
*
Paying 4200 on insurance monthly will nett you 0 cashback for SC Gold.

Can consider Alliance you:nique, which will give you RM 53.6 for 4.2k spending..

Cashback Gold Mastercard -

The cashback qualification is based on calendar month or statement month?

I never received any rebate since day 1... what a waste!!!
*
Tip: Set your statement date to be on the 1st of the month, so your statement will follow your cashback month.. much easier to monitor & track..

May i know if the claim rebate can done by mobile apps?
*
I don't have their mobile apps, so I'm not sure.. But from the way their website is structured (i.e. CB rewards is separate from their Online Banking), I don't think so..

Also, as it's only a feature that I use once a month, I don't see a necessity for it to be on the mobile app..

Wanna ask how the RM50 cash back works?

1. Spend 2000, pay 1950 end of the month

Or

2. Spend 2000, pay 2000 and receive -50 next month?
Thanks
*
#2

Thing to note is that -50 is not automatic. You need to manually redeem it.

Standard Chartered website explaining the cashback tier is so confusing. I own the Justone card and Cashback gold now.

While I understand the cashback for Gold Cashback Card:
<RM500 : 2%, max RM10
>RM500, <Rm800 : 3%, max RM25
>Rm800, <RM1500 : 5%, max RM50
(excl. Petrol & Insurance)

Can anyone explain a little on the Justone card?
*
Actually your Gold CB also a little incorrect.. 2% is only activated if you have minimum spend of RM 500, so it should be:
<RM500 : No cashback
>=RM500, <Rm800 : 2%, max RM10
>=Rm800, <RM1500 : 3%, max RM25
>= RM1500: 5%, max RM50
(excl. Petrol & Insurance)

Dear all, wish to ask about SC gold cash back credit card. In their official website. It stated that, in order to get 5% , we spend RM1000 exclude petrol and insurance. Another RM 500 can include petrol & insurance? It is confusing as I call cs just now and she told me that the total RM1500 has to exclude petrol and insurance.. Anyone has experiences getting cb RM50 with less than RM1500 that exclude petrol and insurance? Thanks.
*
What you read on the website is correct. CS is wrong in this case. I used to charge rm 480 worth of insurance payment monthly to this card (now moved to FCB already).

Need to spend Rm 1500 to trigger 5% cash back on eligible transactions (non insurance,petrol). Cap of RM 50 means you only need to spend rm1k on eligible transactions to maximize cash back. 500 can be on petrol, insurance. Effective cash back is only 3.33%.

Even if you spend less than 1k on eligible transactions, you still get 5% if you meet min spend of 1.5k. as an example, you spent rm 800 on insurance/petrol and 700 on others, you'll get rm35 cash back (5% of rm 700)

Want to ask, does Standard Chartered Credit Cards application always comes with 2 cards? Applied JustOne Platinum Mastercard® credit card with SC salesperson during a booth roadshow.
The salesperson insists that each application must comes with two cards no matter which channel you apply, even online or ringgitplus. Is it true?
*
They get more commission from more cards applied.

For such cases, I'll threaten the salesperson.. either you let me apply just one card, or I'll go apply from someone else. Works all the time. And in case I get 2 cards in the end, I'll cancel both cards immediately. That way they won't get the confusion also.

Strange. You were the first one to report this, all of us got. In fact, I received for my 3 cards. One is CB principal, another CB as supp from my sis and JustOne Plat.
*
I got my CB for January, while still nothing for December.. called CS and had a long discussion/check..

My Dec transactions had RM 214.19 of petrol transactions, and RM 302.05 of non petrol/insurance transactions.. Total spend exceeds RM 500, so by right, should get 2% CB on the RM 302..

CS says that petrol transactions are not considered retail, that's why not considered in total spend, thus no CB.. but I told them that in their website there's no mention that petrol transactions are not considered retail.. CS will check with her superior and get back to me..
