The Uber 20% cash back, I must spend RM 750 first to enjoy it or can I use Uber first then only spend RM 750 later? Should be OK right? Else how to cater for users who use Uber early of the month? hmm.gif
*
As long you hit RM 750 for the month. Cashback will be credited like third week or so the following month.

Got it. rclxms.gif
Thanks! I will use it tomorrow, so I supoosed it still follows transaction date right? I have hit at least RM 750 this month.
*
I guess it's based on transaction date. Haven't had any rides that cross over to the following month sweat.gif

Does anyone know if the Uber 20% promo only applicable to Uber Malaysia? Or Uber worldwide? I have been charging my Uber transactions in India to SCB card and hopefully I will get 20% cash back. laugh.gif I don't think it's mentioned in its T&C, so anyone with experience can share. If it's not eligible, I will change the card to my YOLO card.
*
I had my 20% too when I was in Taiwan (before they banned Uber few weeks back).

But change your card if you hit the max capped of RM 60. SC has a bad CC forex exchange.

SCB cards are good but the AF is pretty hefty to pay. sweat.gif

Though my sis claims that she hasn't been charged with AF all these years for her SCB CB Gold, I just want to prepare ourselves on this, how easy to waive the AF? I'm quite interested with the JustOne card but the AF is pretty high.

Any old timers care to shed some lights in this matter?
*
Member since 2012 and never paid anything. They used to charge me AF and I had to call to get it waived. Initial years they even gave $$ to retain.

Last year, my AF didn't even appear in the statement at all biggrin.gif

I called their Cs to clarify and according to the person I spoke with, he says have to call them to get it waived once it's out in the statement
*
For the first year, it's free. You'll be charged subsequent year but then call in to waive it.

Hi,is there border fee if using Master Gold CB or Just 1 Plat on Paypal? If yes,is 1%?
The 1% is charged on the USD amount or charge on the RM amount (after convert from USD to RM)?Any other charges besides border fee?

Eg 200USD spend on Paypal using Master Gold CB,after minus the border fee, still worth it?
*
Cross border fees are only applicable if it's a foreign payment gateway transacted in RM.

If you are paying in foreign currency, there won't be any cross border fees. If you are paying in RM on a foreign payment gateway, then yes, SC will charge you 1%.

Due to 0% BT from Maybank, I rounded up the figure and BT-ed more than the outstanding amount, at the same time I have some cash back in my SCB Gold.

Long story short, now I have a credit of RM 140 and I would like to spend around RM 800 this month, will it offset my credit and treat my spending as only RM 660 and causes me unable to get cash back of at least RM 25? unsure.gif I will of course spend until RM 833 for RM 25 cash back.

I will appreciate some advice regarding this. notworthy.gif
*
Shouldn't be an issue. I normally spend 1.5K on the card but with the RM 50 rebate redeemed, outstanding is less than 1.5K and I still receive the RM 50 rebate the following month.

Actually it's a double edged sword. I check my spending recently and Uber transactions are on a exponential rise. sweat.gif

Can I know if insurance is taken into account for total retail spent to hit the RM 800 quota to be eligible for the 3% rebate?

I might have trouble to hit the 800 cap this month (probably short of 200 from my projected spending)

So I thought of hitting 800 to be eligible by charging insurance to this card. Will the cashback calculation be 3% of the RM 600 (since 200 is insurance payment) or I don't entitled for the 3% at all cause the insurance is not considered as retail payment? Anyone has experience on this?

For the Uber cash back campaign, this is one of the lines: "Just spend a monthly minimum of RM750 on total retail spends, not just on Uber rides, with your credit card."

So does it mean I must spend RM 750 excluding Uber rides or they can be part of RM 750?

I usually do not have any issue in achieving RM 750 per month (excluding Uber) but just wanna be careful to avoid losing all my 20% cash back. tongue.gif
*
750 can be part of Uber ride smile.gif

Is it good?

And i see the RM7 movie everyday can buy using GSC app. Seem very good deal.

Touch wood, I haven't had annual fees appearing for a few years for both my SC cards. But 20k, definitely I can't achieve (or rather no point achieving)
