I use lazy method of everything charge to AEON CC, then pay using PBB VS + CIMB CR (using principals and supps, if they got spare quota) and as a last resort, SCB Gold Cashback. Even though my insurance premiums are really high, all my online cards can cover.

Has anyone been using SCB CC for Uber rides?

If so, have you gotten the 20% rebates?

Just got my card this month so will see how it goes. Did a few uber rides last week. Great now uber has fixed fares!

I signed up to scb primarily for the RM300 acquisition offer that ended in Sept. But quite happy with it so far for online spend when I've exhausted my higher CB cards.

As a general rule, better to stick to those agents you know and trust. I prefer to see mine face to face, rather than agreeing anything on the phone. These people are marketers with a goal to sell as many and as fast as possible.

I think got names mixed up between Just One Platinum and Gold Cashback.

Did anyone from CS contact you? For me, I had to send my documents via e-mail to a CS rep, who also called me. She also called me when I got approved, and tried to ask me to sign up for another card.

Thanks for the updates! My Uber spending only started in Nov but good to know the cashback comes in quite quickly.

I use Uber a lot for company travel, so the extra 20% is an added bonus.

I haven't tried yet, so can't confirm from experience. However, pos online is MCC code 9402 which iss not in excluded list

I always do this for the Citibank free limo. Walk right though the sliding doors. It is after Immigration and Customs, so no issue. Sometimes there's a guard there, but just say buying limo ticket.

Yeh, I had the same thinking. Best feature is Uber Promo and my last resort to pay aeon via Pos online if I max out the rest.

Nevermind, maybe by the time it's time to apply for SCB again you'll qualify for PBB VS, and can apply for supplementary cards too . Hope that day comes soon. It's my most versatile card.

Wishing you good luck for next round of increment!! . I remember the feeling when I was younger.

Now that I'm older I qualify for most cards except those invitation only. Will be a long time before I ever get there! But no point also because doesn't seem like those ultra prestige cards have real benefits.. And annual fees are high. If I ever get that rich, maybe I won't be so obsessed counting my cash back.

Anyway, SCB lost a good potential customer!

I've applied and cancelled and reapplied SCB at least 5 times over the past 8 years haha. Every time I see a good sign up promo, I apply again, and never keep each card for more than a year. And best thing is, everytime I cancel, they offer me retention cashback like RM50. It is amazing.

The best acquisition reward was RM300 cashback... And the lowest was the RM50 TNG plus smartyl tag. My recent application should also be eligible for RM300 again.

One year after you pay. Then as you approach your card anniversary, try your luck and call to waive. SCB normally quite lenient with waivers.

Definitely have to use a combination of cards. There isn't one card which can help you pay RM10k one shot to offset the 2.12%.

Most people use PBB VS (principals and supps), CIMB CR (principals and supps), SCB Cashback Gold, UOB Yolo. But even those combined cannot hit RM10k.

I'm new to the Gold Cashback card. I understand from previous posts that the cashback has to be manually redeemed (I managed to click to the right page), but just wanted to check when does it typically get paid out?

I spent RM1,500 in October, does this mean I should expect RM50 redeemable cashback to show up at the end of November?

Hmm. Received nothing yet for my Cashback Gold card. Spent RM1,500 in October to pay bills via Pos Online.

Nothing for me either for October spending. Am expecting RM50 for Cashback Gold card.

Me too! First cashback for me from this card.

My RM50 was solely from paying AEON via POS ONLINE.
