Went to baskin robin to eat ice cream. Direct deduct from my existing points. 400 points =RM 1. Is it worth ?
It is equal to 0.025% cash back. I just wonder majority of people spending on VS card, which category are you all spend on? VS is my main card, but I start to wonder whether it is wise to use this card. Cash rebate on petrol is good. But I just can't spend RM 1760 every month on petrol to maximise my cash back.

Probably it is not about maximizing the CB. It is fine if you really do spend 1760 on petrol and groceries every month though.

Well, rm1760 indeed are a bit hard for some. Why not opt for the lower end Ikhwan card? rm1000 for petrol and groceries while the rest you still can earn TP except government transactions. Just that you have to plan properly as only Friday and Saturday you can earn cash backs.
MBB's TP already devalued and 400Tp = rm1 is the norm.
And to enjoy AF free for this card is, you need to spend rm4000 every month and another month is rm2000 extra.
*
Personally I feel it's really not worth it.

I qualified for waiver last year meaning expenditure more than RM50k, but only received RM900 in total (this is the 5% cashback plus redemption of treat points). That's less than 2% total return.

This year I definitely won't qualify for waiver because I spread my expenditure across better yielding cards.

I will be cancelling my VS when it comes up for renewal unless they waive AF or lower annual spending to something more reasonable like RM20k.

Since I won't keep Wise anymore, this card will be my primary usage for these two categories while Ikhwan will be kept in drawer for one year. laugh.gif

if can control groceries and petrol usage on fri and sat and usage less than RM1000 monthly. Ikhwan will be sufficient and can get 5% cash back.

No need to apply this visa signature which need to pay for annual fee for second year onward unless you spend the min RM50K yearly.

I'm a serial applicant and canceller, especially for banks with high AF but short cooling down period for new applications. Nowadays both applications and cancellations are so easy, and new applications usually come with lots of goodies (except Maybank). So it's good to shop around.

Don't think BNM will entertain the service quality level complaint. They are monitoring the discrepancy of monetary issue, not service quality of particular bank.

Agreed, and the quality of staff has also dropped significantly. Last time they were very well informed about products, and also very proactive. My last few calls I've been put on hold, transferred around, given wrong information. Not sure what's going on with their CS team, but it is pretty bad now.

Anyway, my card's expiry is 04/22 which is the same month as my M2Cards Plat, am I right to say my AF should be charged only around April 2018? Or still Sept 2017? unsure.gif

Is your annual income higher than the minimum annual income needed for this card? Good for you. rclxms.gif And, it is nice to know that you have obtained your MBB VS card.

My annual income is lower than the minimum annual income needed for this card. But, as mentioned in Maybank 2 Card thread, having a credit limit of RM 20k for Maybank 2 Card will allow us to apply for MBB VS card.

Since my credit limit for Maybank 2 Card is around RM 20k, I may try my luck to apply for this card.

If you get approved, I recommend applying for supplementary cards too so that they can enjoy the 5% on groceries and petrol.

Plus, it really helps to achieve the RM50k spending target for fee waiver. Without my supplementary cards, I wouldn't have been able to achieve it for 2 years. This year I sadly can't hit RM50k, so will cancel when my AF becomes due.

Had this VS card for 1.5yrs now. Well they upgraded me to this card (w/ 2years waiver) when cancelled my last card.
Only good thing is everyday petrol, grocery 5% cashback and trouble free online transactions (they will call me to confirm transactions or unblock un-registered merchants)

However based on my spending pattern can never reach 50k/annum with this card.. since use for petty groceries and petrol only. Nevertheless will call them end of this year and thick face ask for waiver. Else byebye.. gonna cancel.

Same here. Now that I spread out my spending to other cards, I ONLY use this for groceries and petrol. Hard to even hit RM1k a month, let alone RM4k plus!

Please update on your news if you get a waiver. I would love to keep this card because its convenient. But AF is really insane compared to CB return.

Usually they won't bother.

The 20k can be from existing FD or fresh funds.

But then again, if you already have 20k in your FD, the bank is likely to give you the VS anyways confused.gif

The sms stated is a cashback.
Hardly to see any activation offer from MBB.
If can get it, even only RM30, why not?

You yourself know what is the best card for your spending.
Anyway, for the balance of rm28884 you spent in order to get AF waived, after 2 years, you still can get rm100 of cash by redeeming the 40000TPs.
Now with WISE being cancelled and I got a big TNB spender of rm1500 average a month, so it won't be much problem for me.
When shopping in Tesco, I'm helping other to pay their bills also, this is the way I get cash without being charged.
If your spending on groceries + petrol average are rm1000, the balance you can always fill it up by helping others. This is a good way to maximize the rm88 of cash back.
*
How do you reap the benefit from your Tnb bill of rm1500?

Just called Maybank and was told my spending did not reach 50K.
I was pretty sure it was close to 50K.
Asked for Waiver but told it was not possible, so requested to cancel the card through phone.

They will assist to transfer all the outstanding and points to my other Maybank 2 Card.

Now have to find a different card for my grocery and petrol.

My main concern is to earn that rm88 of cash back and avoiding paying rm550 of AF. As this year I will be doing my house renovation, in some sense I no need to spend for others to achieve the grand total of rm50000. Still, it do have 1X of TP. If that fellow pay by him self(an old timer anyway), he have to spend time on post office since he don't have credit card. Every month he give me rm1500 then only I pay.
*
So basically you help to pay the tnb bill of rm1500 to try to touch 50k. And not for cashback from the tnb bill. Correct ?

For me, I got it the day after the notification appeared in my M2U. So happened, the bank official called me the next day. Sadly, once I collected the card, they got my name spelt wrongly, so I activated my card anyway and am waiting for my replacement card.

Got charged for AF but requested for waiver as my annual spending was 45k+. I asked the CR the other day, he mentioned that I can clear off any outstanding & still cancel the card but I remember reading here before that there any spending after the annual fee will make cancellation of the card impossible.

Dont know the exact amount but when i called back in Sept it was about 25k. They can only check up to 6 months history thats what the CS told me. Anyway i got the the card back in 2014 so in fact i have already got a one time waiver before. When i got my VI in 2015 they standardize my AF to be in Nov and waived the 2015 fees.

i never use MBVS beyond its 5% cash back swipes.

For that extra RM1500 i would have used PBB VS and get nearly 2 additonal CB RM50 x 2.

Dont worry, i used only around RM20k last year, purely for its 5% Cashback swipes.
To swipe RM50k a year would mean we have used beyond its 5% CB cap already.

You can get AF waiver i think.

And yes, dont forget to enjoy the current 0% fee BTs, more free cash from higher CL now.

The general idea I get from other cardholders here is that there is strictly no annual fee waiver, if the annual spending is below RM 50k. confused.gif

How do you get rm50x2 when the cap is RM50/month?

On a separate note , which outlet can I use MBVS under groceries category to buy alcohol to enjoy my 5% CB?

if supp card is on separate statement, then separate cashback from principal's.

I believe they have a quota or they will suddenly lose half of VS membership if they strictly go with the 50k spend rule laugh.gif

I manage to get a waiver too with roughly 30k spend.

Did you use your VS for BT? I think some forummers reported previously that the BT was counted in the RM50k spend. Therefore you may have qualified for waiver, despite spending only RM20k in "real" retail transactions.

bare in mind for AF, the system can charge 1 month before the expiry month, during, or 1 month after. mine got charged the month after. if you plan to cancel after one year then to be safe stop spending one month before.

PIN & Pay replacement cards actually. Just be patient and they will arrive soon.
Having said so, you still can view your transactions. I haven't activated my new cards but still can view transactions like normal.

I presumed the bank just set every card to 'Pending new card activation', until it's updated when you received your new Pin and Pay card and activated it.
That makes the job easier for CS when customer calls up. First question to ask is, do you see 'pending new card activation'? biggrin.gif

No worries. All of us are seeing the same message you do.

i have been travelling overseas this past 3 months very frequently. I could not book any hotels online (agoda or tripadvisor) since i dont use roaming verseas and cannot get/key in the activation code sent to the phone. But i can easily book using ambank cards. No need for any approval codes....

Good for you who managed to get annual fee waiver, despite spending only around RM20k per year.  notworthy.gif

The general idea I get from other cardholders here is that there is strictly no annual fee waiver, if the annual spending is below RM 50k.  confused.gif

Why not? You still can receive SMS when you are in overseas. It will not cost you a single cent. I still pay bills whenever I am in overseas. Just need to activate roaming which is FOC most of the telcos.

As yesterday CS quite new, keep telling if spent more than 50K will waive the AF automatically

I called to CS just now and she told me the AF will be charged 1 yr from approval date.
I was approved in Oct16 and next renewal shall be Oct17. If you wish to avoid the AF, please do not use the card after AF posted.

However, my cardd expiry date is Apr (follow m2c).

End of July, I raised a complaint that I didn't get the CB (below RM1.00) and 1st August they make it official.

I have just sent a termination notice even though my anniversary is few more months.

My experience is NO. I converted my VS card cos I couldn't afford the annual fee.

You need to go to Maybank website, at the ikhwan section, download the application form.

Click conversion, write your current Card number and you can select how you want the card to be send and collect the card within 2 weeks.

Current card will be cancelled within 7 days and all balance auto transfer to new card.

Thank you very much for confirming that your RM 20k annual spending are purely on grocery and petrol transactions, and it allows you to get annual fee waiver for Maybank Visa Signature Card. It is awesome! notworthy.gif

Did you ask for annual fee waiver, before or after the annual fee was posted on the transaction history of your Maybank Visa Signature Card, as seen in Maybank2U online website?

If my memory serves me right, the TP from VS are slightly different from 2cards. Not sure if you can transfer over.

From what I remember when I last made a redemption:

You can combine VS TPs with other cards to redeem vouchers.

BUT

You cannot combine other cards TPs with VS to redeem the VS cash rebate. So if you have less than 40,000 VS TPs, you cannot redeem cash rebate.

My MBB VS approved 5 Nov. Expiry on card May 22 (flw my MBB2 cards). Called up CS and ask when they will charge annual fee, she said Nov 2017 . So I guess it is safe to say that they flw the anniversary date of the approved date. (called up twice to speak to 2 diff CS to be sure )  rclxms.gif

I will call mine by August/September next year or whenever I'm calling Maybank, I will ask about it. biggrin.gif

If there are other retail transactions after AF charged, banks normally won't cancel.

I just called to redeem my VS TPs for cash rebate and cancelled my card at the same time. CS told me that annual fee waiver after cancellation is up to management discretion as there are usage for AF has been charged in my case.

Thats wht the CS told me years before, its some sort of acceptance to the annual fee if you charged the card AFTER the annual fee is imposed.

I am unsure whether you all are aware of this or not.

http://www.maybank2u.com.my/mbb_info/m2u/p...sonal/CRD-Cards

Annual Fee
Principal: RM550, FREE for the first year. Subsequent years FREE if spend a min of RM30,000 and above per annum

It is a great news, if the minimum spending to get annual fee waiver is officially lowered from RM50,000 to RM30,000. rclxms.gif Plus, one notable member managed to get the annual fee waiver, even with annual spending of about RM20,000, purely on grocery and petrol transactions.

For Visa Airport Speed Pass:

www.airportspeedpass.com is now redirected to https://speedpass.yqnow.com/. Is the yqnow website the proper website for Visa Airport Speed Pass?

Well, I would like to know the way by which I can apply for the Visa Airport Speed Pass, and the fee incurred.

Not too sure about that.

I called them back cause was not satisfied with the answer given. spoke to another CR, and she actually asked me to reaply the card again. I blasted her nicely and in the end she submitted a request to reopen the closed account. Let's see how it goes.

Definitely keeping this card. It's not easy to get it.
And I don't have to bother with which card to use for groceries and petrol.

The only headache is the previous 50k limit. Lowered to 30K is even better.

You can get a rough idea of the authorized amount from Maybank2u, even if they haven't been posted to the unbilled transactions. Typically, petrol filling will block RM200 per transaction.

Just collected my Pin & Pay replacement card from Poslaju. Today is the last day Poslaju will keep before return back to MBB.

Suggest those if see "Pending New Card Activation" at online account give a phone call to MBB if card has been courier and to which address.
Poslaju never left a note in house post box, so no idea Poslaju was attempting to deliver.
Luckily, I phoned to MBB and checked this morning after back from field assignments.

the above also same happened to my corporate Amex credit card last month after back from field assignment. Again, luckily, I was able to collect it before Poslaju return it to MBB.

Just to update, my card was reactivated. And the dumb thing about maybank is, they only reactivated my card but not my supps. I asked CS why, she said u didnt request so we won't reactivate. But anyway, good to get another year of free usage.

And I just noticed that I had a credit of 500 bucks under mid year sale campaign - BON. anybody has any idea what that is?

Thanks for your confirmation. smile.gif

It is likely that if I submit my credit card application through Maybank2U, my application will be rejected.

That is why I submitted my credit card application by e-mail to Maybank Card Services, and submit additional supporting documents to enhance my chances.

Its because he spent RM45k (below RM50k), and very very shortly after that, the annual spending threshold was reduced to RM30k. So it makes sense.

Yeah I terminated the VS as my application for waiver was rejected. And requested for it to be reactivated once they reduced the annual spending for AF waiver. And for the RM500 it's the sale cashback campaign, guess I was just lucky.

I did the same for my mom few weeks ago, rejected almost immediately after sending in the registration. Called CS and was told that the online portal for ccard application has a bug and they're still trying to rectify it, so ur best bet is to head to a branch, fax them or drop by a card centre.

For recent new applicants of Maybank Visa Signature Card (who applied and obtained for the card within the last 3 months or so), do you still receive the terms and conditions booklet, and the fancy privileges booklet in the envelope containing your new Maybank Visa Signature Card?

For my case, I did not get any booklet at all, other than a standard Pin-and-Pay instruction paper telling me how to activate the credit card and how to set a PIN. As such, I am treated as if I am a cardholder whose existing signature-based credit card is replaced with Pin-and-Pay credit card, instead of treated as a new cardholder of Maybank Visa Signature Card. By the way, this is the first time I have a Maybank Visa Signature Card.

When I called Maybank Customer Service requesting for the booklet, the Customer Service officer asked me to download the booklet from Maybank2u website. Yeah, I know that every bank is implementing cost-cutting measures. But, where is the prestige feeling that I should have, when I first received my Maybank Visa Signature Card? sad.gif

They are all in the official website of Maybank Visa Signature in Maybank2u website.

Maybank Visa Signature Terms & Conditions

Maybank Visa Signature Privileges Booklet

When you download both booklets, you will see that the booklets are black glossy booklets, symbolizing the prestige we should have as Visa Signature cardholders. smile.gif

I could be wrong, but I remembered someone shared in the first version of this thread that the Maybank Visa Signature card is neatly tucked in nice-looking envelope, when the cardholder first received the card.

Well, with that revised income requirement, it's just like a normal Plat's salary requirement and you expect it to be prestige? laugh.gif
Since this card has nothing interesting except for 5% cash back daily for groceries and petrol, hence they will not waste money to print anything.

Agreed. When first launched, it offered quite of privileges. Now the only thing is the 5% and lots of people cancelling once cannot hit annual spending requirement for AF waiver. So they really don't care.

That's why I will only have it for first year since it's free AF for first year. I will not use FD to apply. laugh.gif

No. FD is to secure the card, not to waive AF.

The 5% cashback for selected paywave transactions is only valid for the first 6 months from the launch date of Maybank Visa Signature card.

Anyone can confirm if the cashback only for 6 months?

you can argue that you didnt know when the exact date is/was.

if you plan to cancel the card, then just pay the outstanding amount.

Terminated this card before my card anniversary on mid of Jan 2017, total usages <15K.

Can't convert to Ikhwan as I also have M2Cards. If want to, need to convert ALL cards.

U can actually appeal for waiver. Forgot to cancel my supp card auto billing which was after the annual renewal date but was told by CR that only usage on main card applies and even so u still can appeal after paying for it.

How significantly did you exceed the AF charge date?

I think you should have a strong case to appeal if you didn't use beyond one statement cycle (i.e. the statement in which the AF appeared).

I was at Batu Pahat during Christmas weekend to attend my friend's wedding. Since we had nothing to do, so just lurked around Pacific Hypermarket & Departmental Store in BP Mall. Saw some nice shirts in departmental store that suit my dad, simply paid with my VS since it doesn't accept AmEx. Turned out to be groceries because I received cash back. laugh.gif Lucky. tongue.gif

Nope, I tried for my supp card before. Reason given was the VS card is outsourced and they cant do it in their card centre. So I assume the same goes for main card holder.

meaning what he's earning no longer have margin for another card with what he's currently paying for installments (houses, cars etc) and the number of credit cards he's already owning. banks have their ways to calculate/determine that.

My case too, recently tried to apply few cards or request for credit limit increase but all rejected. Some rejected with no reason given some said too high commitment. MBB rejected my credit limit increase request. sad.gif

If you get VS, your CL will be RM 20k at least. Mine was RM 25k upgraded by them automatically when I applied my VS, so that is another good reason to upgrade card. smile.gif

Yes. They give lower limit compare to other foreign bank. However, one thing to take note, if maybank willing to give you high limit that means you are genuinely financially stable and low risk. As the bank is very prudent in issuing credit limit, you may put up a request to increased credit limit after holding the card for a year. They would access your new income as well as your credit card payment history.
*
Agree with all the above. Been using MBB for 8 years and have to slowly slowly increase CL by submitting income docs every single year. Was only given 40k initially with Maybank2Premier and had to increase gradually. This is 3-5 times less than other CL I got from other banks.

Upgrade card not only adding card. From lower range to higher range. Yes, it will, at least for Maybank so far I heard and my own experience.

Yes it may. But it is very subjective and no applicable to all. They may increased the credit limit for you but they may not. I have client who upgraded the card but was not given credit increased. As mentioned, everything is subjected to approval.
*
In my case, I didn't get a CL limit increase from Visa Signature to Maybank2Premier. When they issued Maybank2Premier, I retained my old RM40k CL. Had to submit income documents to request.

Without activation, your card cannot be used. Then what are you paying for?

As for paying for other cards, i.e. Supp card, of course you can. You can pay for anyone's credit card, too.

i just cancelled my MBB VISA Signature last month (Jan 2017) because they will charge me annual fee soon.

If now I go re-apply this card again (through Maybank2U), will it consider as a new application and give me free first year annual fee ?

I don't think they'll approve now. Too close to cancellation date.
Probably can try 3-6 months later.

your definitions/words are confusing laugh.gif

i guess you've already maximize the cb by spending last month (Jan calendar), and waiting for rm88 CB this month (Feb calendar).

there's no use of "statement" in this context as mbb's cb following calendar month, not your statement month.

also, now is February yeah, not January biggrin.gif

yesterday 1-Feb you posted this "Managed to maximize the RM 88 CB this month. Lol. Will check tomorrow." it confuses ppl laugh.gif laugh.gif

Anyone used this card more than 1 year already? Managed to waive the AF ? The requirement is quite high leh given that they only give cb for petrol and grocery only. ... if they give like 1 or 2% for OTHERS then still can use this card ... Once max the RM 88 CB then no point using this card already what ..

Replied you the Recommendation thread. No waiver for this card. That's why many have cancelled after a year of usage.
I will cancel mine too when the time comes.

Thanks Fruitie smile.gif I guess I'll do the same too haha ... btw will it be too late to cancel AFTER they charge? I mean they will force you to pay before they let you cancel. Better to cancel on the 11th month ?

Any sifu experience how to get credit limit increment from Maybank? I applied for their Visa Signature hoping to increase the credit limit automatically by submitting my latest payslip & EPF statement. Just got approved yesterday and checked online now, didn't get any increment on credit limit at all. It is the lowest credit limit among 9 others bank credit card I have. sad.gif

Then request for CL increase after you get your card.

Cancel some of your existing CC and sure Maybank will increase your current CL.

Bank are more cautious these days in giving CL cos they are required to see total exposure...

I agreed with you when i received my Citibank last year, 2-3 times CL of Maybank CC. With additional advanced withdrawal limit also which i don't use. Citibank the most generous besides CIMB.

Yes this is exactly my experience - Maybank the most strict, while Citibank and CIMB super generous. For me, I have to request for CL limit increase from Maybank every year after I get my increment. Citibank will usually call and offer CL increases!

Just applied 1 more AEON Card, AEON Big Gold Visa by submitting my latest payslip. Got approved and increase my credit limit from 20% lower than MBB to 33% higher than MBB. Seems like MBB is the most stingy in given credit limit. haha..

I used my VS today at one of the local supermarkets in Port Dickson. When the cashier took my card, I told her to use PayWave which she did and it was done so swiftly. Another cash back will be pocketed. laugh.gif

I like the convenience of PayWave, whenever I'm in front of the cashier, if possible I will use PayWave.

I will still need to safeguard my cards though, max can be swiped via PayWave is only RM 250 right?

When it was first out, I was kinda worried but after using it for few times on my VS and MACH, it is useful and convenient. thumbup.gif

mbb stated this in their website, T&Cs, and post #1 here:

// Only TREATSPoints earned from spend in Maybank Visa Signature card will be eligible for redemption into cash. TREATSPoints earned from other cards are not allowed to be transferred into card members Visa Signature card. //

I can confirm purchasing Aeon vouchers at Aeon Metro Prima is under Groceries as the cashier will bring you go down to customer service counter (next to the grocery cashier) to pay. SMKT is written on the credit card slip. Been doing this all the while.

Thank you for the reminder on the expiry date of Tesco voucher!

Also comparing it to other credit cards, the number of entries you need to press before able to speak to a CS is actually quite little.
If your applied for the card after may 2016 then probably your renewal date is only starting from May 2018.
However there might be a bad news if you card is approved before Dec 2016 then you need to spend 50k annual to be able to request for a free AF waiver.
Only card approved after Dec 2016 will get reduced AF waiver by spending only 30k.

Correct me if I am wrong, let say my card was approved and received in Feb 2017, the annual fee will be charged either in Jan 2018 or Feb 2018, right?

It's free for the first year, so I'm guessing Feb 2019.

Why 2019 and not 2018? unsure.gif Free from Feb 2017 to Jan 2018. So should be charged in Feb 2018?
Easiest way to find out is to check with CS.

Because how will they calculate if your expenses is above 50k when 2017 to 2018 is free?
I'm assuming they will charge in 2019 when they can monitor expenses made fr 2018 to 2019. I don't think they will charge in 2018 unless they expect you to call them 1 year later to waive AF charged 1 year ago...

The 50k expenses need to be achieved within Feb 2017 to Jan 2018.
It's the same thing for those swipe 12x to waive AF. You have to swipe within one year to waive for following year.

First year AF is free for the current year, in this VS' case it is supposedly charged the moment it's approved which is Feb 2017 but it's waived.

Really? I remembered some of my cards previously gets AF charged after 1 year of activation and those didn't have any 1st year waiver. They must have changed then.. hmm.gif

These days seldom there are cards which don't give first year waiver. smile.gif

Back to MBB VS, it seems the AF is charged on a different date. It's better to check with CS especially those having different MBB cards.

this card was given to me on oct14, so i was entitled to get first year waive on oct15, by right they will charge me on oct16 for the second year annual fee. i think my annual spending last year reaches 50k, but no black n white on the statement, but another 50k this year seem to me abit hard. shakehead.gif

Yes u will, as long at the payment portal is overseas. I find this as a plus point compared to Ambank's WMC/VI which requires the card to be swiped overseas physically, online transaction is not valid.

Yeh - When I've exhausted my quota for online credit cards (such as CIMB CR and PBB VS), I will use my MBB VS on payment gateways like Paypal. For example, Lazada has a Paypal option (which is counted as foreign gateway), so you will get your 5x TPs even though your transaction is in RM.

Guys, I read first page and just noticed that groceries cash back only applicable for domestic. doh.gif Looks like I brought a wrong card here. I'm in India now and I would like to buy some groceries.

Any chance that I will get cash back? Just like M2Cards' dining cash back is supposedly for local transactions but people still got for overseas dining.

Wasn't sure about the answer to your question but did some thinking. For VS, they will probably record it as overseas transaction which is eligible for 5x TP and won't give the cashback as well. In contrast, PBB VS allows 6% cashback for overseas groceries, but no VIP points (which are quite worthless anyway).

What's more ridiculous is that no one knows whats the true waiver condition that applies to them. This is even worse for people who received the card during the transition.

Its also very difficult to track the 50k, and they are not able to tell you if you call to ask.

I know my AF due date and will definitely cancel before then.

I asked the same question too. I don't think so as I have checked my TP for this card, it has been increased 5x. I guess I will only get TP but not cash back... Will confirm again on 1st/2nd April.

Hi everyone,

What falls under the 'spending' category? I have several huge transanctions a year although its mostly government related, do those fall under the 'spending' side of things for me to qualify for the annual fee waiver?

If the expiry month is Aug, then the system will charge on the 27th of either July/Aug/Sept.

ie. 27th of the same month or 27th the month before or 27th the month after.

so they will advise the worst case scenario, i.e 27th of the month before.

do you have supp cards?

by right AEON is not entitled, but AEON SMKT does.
also, not sure if CTX is grocery/petrol, so can't comment.

Anyway, it doesn't add up.

1- Do you have any supp card?
2. CB earned <Rm1 transactions will not be counted. It means minimum spend term (for cb) is RM20.
3. AEON SMKT entitles for CB, while normal AEON not.

This month i also faced CB problem with VS, MBB did not include my supp card cb into March. The CS helped me to submit complaint to related department.

I just checked with CS regarding the Annual fees.
What CS told me that for the first Annual Fees will kick in after a year.

For example:
I am holding Maybank 2 card and the printed date is July, but my VS was approved on January, so the Annual Fess will appear on next year January, but the second year will be same as my maybank 2 card which is next year July.

Minimum RM 20 per transaction or total transaction less than RM 20 per month?
I got cash back though for transaction less than RM 20.

I think that's possible, just tell CS you want to cancel your VS and shift BT to other cards. That's the reason why I BT to my AmEx instead of VS.

Why you need to cancel your VS card when is Free-For-Life (Principal & Supplementary Cards) - First year annual fee waived & subsequent
years’ annual fee waiver is based on a minimum of 12 swipes over the preceding 12 months.

That sounds like PBB VS.
MBB VS you have to spend min RM30k subsequent years for auto AF waiver.

You need to spend RM 50k per annum for cards approved before Dec 2016, after Dec 2016 is 30k per annum.

Last 2 weeks for me to use my VS. My annual fee is due in May, so I'll cancel in first week of May.

Love the card, but AF is ridiculous. Not much point keeping this card with the reinstatement of M2U Amex 5% week-end CB.

Yeh but I think MBB is a bit strict with applying and reapplying. I managed to hit the RM50k for the previous 2 rounds so this is first time I'm cancelling the VS. Think I may have to wait 6 months to reapply.

True but how many people will get 80k CL to do BT? Plus you need to do it in 1year, so maximum BT is only your CL.

Assuming that you cancel your Maybank Visa Signature Card on May 2017, you may reapply for the same card on November 2017.

If that is the case, do you still get free 1-year annual fee waiver for your Maybank Visa Signature Card, from November 2017 to October 2018? hmm.gif

I hope so! But I'm not sure. I may end up not reapplying as I really hate annual fee cards. Can use my PBB VS to cover groceries, and just pump petrol on weekends with MBB Amex.
