QUOTE(lilsunflower @ Oct 3 2016, 05:18 PM) I'm a serial applicant and canceller, especially for banks with high AF but short cooling down period for new applications. Nowadays both applications and cancellations are so easy, and new applications usually come with lots of goodies (except Maybank). So it's good to shop around. Agreed

QUOTE(lilsunflower @ Apr 30 2017, 09:29 PM) Did my last transaction with my VS yesterday as my AF is due in May and I'm cancelling once I settle my statement balance. Will miss the convenience of petrol and groceries, which I never max out. But now just have to adapt spending habits by using PBB VS for groceries and MBB Amex for petrol on weekends. Did you try to request for AF waiver?

QUOTE(bee993 @ Oct 8 2017, 07:08 PM) i dont think this info is correct. i am so called old customer too. last month thinking maybe need to terminated this card as i hardly use it, today just checked and i can use it for 1 more year as i am charged annual fees 550+ gst 33 but get waived automatically. the only explanation i can think of is maybe they combine from the mbb2kard with this vs spending that maybe just exceed 30k but definitely not 50k. lucky me What is your total spending for vs excluding mbb2card?

QUOTE(jkngo2003 @ Oct 19 2017, 09:21 AM) shared my story on this application i have apply this barcelona card on last thursday and get approved after 6pm. and i get my card on this tuesday at my home in sarawak. another one is my visa signature card. my card expired date is 06/20 and i will be charged annual in june 2017. i have terminated it just before the annual fee charged. when i apply barcelona card online, i oso click for visa signature(just for fun), but both card approved. i have received the card and the expired date os 06/20 same as barcelona card. then i call cs about the annual fee and she mention tat this year no annual fee and next year oso dont have annual fee coz my expired date is 06/20 and annual fee should be in june 2018 but still not reach one year usage. so that the annual fee only be charged in june 2019. this kind of case happen to me in 2015 as i apply the signature card in august 2015 and annual fee charge in june 2017. i ask cs why my card expired date is 06/20 coz it follow my existing maybank2 card expired date. So maybank is not strict on the annual fee and cooling off period?

QUOTE(fruitie @ Nov 4 2017, 08:22 PM) Good idea to receive over payment. Didn't expect it to include that as your spending. Yeah. I remembered someone advised me before so it was you? So is it confirmed overpayment considered as VS spending? If so,easy to achieve VS AF waiver

QUOTE(guy3288 @ Nov 4 2017, 10:33 PM) overpayment is CREDIT. i was suggesting maybe, just maybe it was the DEBIT that helped if you have done BT overpayment and claimed refund, no harm try it on MBVS card next time. if the assumption overpayment debit is considered spending for VS, then may be applicable for other credit cards from other banks too?

QUOTE(kart @ Nov 6 2017, 05:21 AM) Is it easy to persuade Maybank CS to transfer BT overpayment in your Maybank Visa Signature Card, to your saving account? Some CS may be reluctant to transfer the BT overpayment, and just say that the BT overpayment will be used to deduct the transactions posted in next statement month. Your Estimated Total Amount of Transactions Debited to Maybank Visa Signature Card = RM 15k + RM 8725.79 = about RM 24k It is still lower than the required spending amount of RM 30k per year, for the automatic annual fee waiver. Or, did you have another BT overpayment in the past few months? Anyway, it is good for you to get annual fee waiver your Maybank Visa Signature Card, for two consecutive years. QUOTE(guy3288 @ Nov 7 2017, 10:04 PM) MBB the easiest to get refund my 1 year refund is around RM100k. So VS waiver for both years due to BT overpayment debit?
