Received all my Maybank new PIN n Pay replacement cards in one big envelope. Since my yearly AF is in Nov will wait for AF waiver for VS and VI before activating them. M2cards is free already.

Got charged for AF but requested for waiver as my annual spending was 45k+. I asked the CR the other day, he mentioned that I can clear off any outstanding & still cancel the card but I remember reading here before that there any spending after the annual fee will make cancellation of the card impossible.

Waiver successful? I am still waiting to be charged for the AF before requesting for waiver. CS already told me cannot request beforehand. Not like my HL Wise i manage to get waiver even before the AF date rclxms.gif

How much have you spent for the past one year? unsure.gif
*
Dont know the exact amount but when i called back in Sept it was about 25k. They can only check up to 6 months history thats what the CS told me. Anyway i got the the card back in 2014 so in fact i have already got a one time waiver before. When i got my VI in 2015 they standardize my AF to be in Nov and waived the 2015 fees.

Good for you who managed to get annual fee waiver, despite spending only around RM20k per year.  notworthy.gif

The general idea I get from other cardholders here is that there is strictly no annual fee waiver, if the annual spending is below RM 50k.  confused.gif

I believe they have a quota or they will suddenly lose half of VS membership if they strictly go with the 50k spend rule laugh.gif

I manage to get a waiver too with roughly 30k spend.

no sign of my annual fee even in my nov statement, although the card month is oct, guess i qualify for the waiver.

If its a waiver they will bill u first and then immediately credit back the amount as waiver. It will be shown on your statement/ m2u transaction. Mine is like that thumbup.gif

Called CS to check my AF due in Nov and also my spending. They can only check for last 6 months. If want full 1 year have to email them. Using since 2014 so far no AF. Hopefully next one too waived smile.gif

showing up in m2u is more important than sms, which is usually sent out by batch.

standard delivery is 1week but actual is around 1-3 days.
*
Exactly right. Its weekend already so probably next week only the card will arrive
