anybody knows how to pay Indah water bills online using credit cards for cash back? my company bills each time RM300+ to pay.

I used to pay with OCBC titanium for its 1% CB, now no more 1%.

tried search but found out so far no good cash back for it, worse no credit cards provide online payment except OCBC???

So far after my first month with this card, I would definitely recommend this card to anybody. Cashback from this card is awesome and better than OCBC Titanium during the 1% CB days. My Samsung Galaxy V will be arriving today according to Poslaju's tracking no. biggrin.gif

Is PBB very strict on credit card approval?

I applied MBB, CIMB, AEON, SCB (Cancelled already), Citibank (Cancelled already), HSBC, all no issue to get approval.

This round applied PBB Platinum, first time get rejected.  cry.gif

PB VS was the easiest CC to get for me... submitted everything online and got my card in less than 2 weeks... & RHB rejected my application...

Which kinds of worries me..... it's easy for someone to create a CC under your name and runs up a huge debt...

i applied 2 supp cards and put a separate CL capped for my kids. Problem is when they swipe they cannot contribute to my 6% CB. Reason is they have separate CL, so all their swipes are excluded from any CB.

For them to contribute to 6%CB they must share the whole CL with me, end up i cancel the supp cards, no meaning, if their swipes are not considered. Luckily HL Wise card not like that........

MBB VS is not like this. Have you asked them whether there is a bug is the system or this is their actual terms?

CS checked and told me so,when i activated the supp cards.

It is likely PBB is more cunning than HLB or MBB, hoping for unsuspecting clients to swipe and not getting
the much hyped 6% CB..

Good that you shared it here. Even RHB is not like that. Quite normal for people to cap the supp cards' CL too.

So your total income for 2014 is 115k which already meets the requirement, just send in your application and wait. I was rejected the first time and second time PBB approved it based on same info submitted.

wow, ur life must be easy-going smile.gif no commitment but earning 80k per annum tongue.gif j/k

anyways, 'too clean' financial loan/commitment records means banks cannot evaluate ur repayment capability. If u got some loans and been repaying it (or not), then banks will know/evaluate your affordability to repay the credit/loan.

since you've gotten a car (not fully paid by ca$h right?), then u could resubmit ur card application dy.

I recommend that you take it. Use it for 1 year. Build your credit histories.
2nd year, if they impose annual fee or if you don't want the card any more, cancel it later.

Pro:
- build your credit history for other credit cards later
- free access to airport premium lounge
- you're a Infinite card holder leh!!!

But u mentioned your 2014 income is 60k. And this year only 80k. But latest EA form is 2014. So in that 2014 EA form less than 100k?

well in my case , its kind of little complicated as i have 2 company, company 1 is a SDN BHD issuing EA form with 24k salary + 35k commission

the 2nd company is partnership with 36k income. (no EA form, only salary slip)

but in this year my salary increase to 84k total from both side. so in my situation , how will it be?

*i am aged 25. never had CC before, just start loan car for 2 month. just signed& approved bank for a house loan <processing on lawyer>

U may consider to pledge a FD to get it.

anyway, weird thing is when u register the card in your PBE online account to view your statements, you can't pay your credit card. you can view the transaction history and even an option to click pay. but when u click it will show error. had to go to the branch back to link it.

It is a requirement u need to meet !00K annual income to get the card.

U may consider to pledge a FD to get it.

anyway, weird thing is when u register the card in your PBE online account to view your statements, you can't pay your credit card. you can view the transaction history and even an option to click pay. but when u click it will show error. had to go to the branch back to link it.

Does any of you aware that this Samsung Galaxy V phone promotion is only applicable to those customers who walked into the bank and apply online? I just called CS again and he told me so. I applied my card at roadshow counter at Mid Valley. He said will help me to get approval for the phone, need to wait another week. sad.gif

Sold mine at rm200 rclxms.gif

I encountered the same problem as you when making payment for my card. Called the CS and he advised you to pay using "Payment >> PB Card Payment >> To Other Card" if you want to pay through PBE. I tried it and it will be reflected on your card statement instantly.

The credit card required to pay annual fee. Public bank can waive for the annual fee and I think they can choose not to waive the 6% GST for the annual fee.

Just wonder Public bank need to pay the 6% GST to gov if they waive the annual fee?

Finally got my week1 & week3 12% cashback after appeal. Both weeks I completed requirement on Monday. But when someone here earned the CB even though completed on Tuesday, I called up to check. Was told that I registered(on 2/5/15) for the promo before the campaign started on 4/5/15 so not counted (even though I got the 'successful registration' message). Thankfully all ends well even though the CB is nothing like MBB's 100%CB.

I did not received the cashback for week 2, I believe due to the same reason as yours. Will call up and check too. Thanks

add: was told the same thing. in fact, the staff was curious on how i get to know about the campaign on the 2nd itself as they usually publish it 1 day before the campaign. have been advised to re-register for future weeks.

Pay it on Monday and 2 other purchases/payment at more than RM100... though it's a maximum of RM50... So to be most cost effective your 3 payments/purchases have to total up to RM416.7.....

Starbucks (1xRM100) - 11am

AEONBIG (1xRM200 + 1xRM100) - 9pm

The Starbucks posting date on Thursday though, even though transaction date on Monday.

I got the full RM50 for Weeks 1 to 3, similar spending pattern. Always swipe something in the morning, then the balance at AEONBig at night.

I got the full RM50 for Weeks 1 to 3, similar spending pattern. Always swipe something in the morning, then the balance at AEONBig at night.
*
Even completed on Monday night able to win, looks like not many cardmembers are attracted to the 12%CB initially.

Only 2 and 3 for me. I didn't get week 4 but all transactions done on Monday too (although one Starbucks posting date was Thursday).

Looks like it is getting harder to win as more people think that it is easy to win.

Anyone utilize the 0% for 12 months balance transfer as part of the "Get Smart with PB" promotion? How to apply for for this Balance transfer offer for new card member?

I called PB card service and they ask me to download from Public Bank webiste, and the form that I found is for 0% for 6 months or 2% for 12 months, which is a totally different promotion.

U can post the cash back in forum below
https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/2057567/+1420

11 May - 17 May 2015 Week 2 50,000

It had been 5 weeks and 1 day the cash rebate credit to card account.
According to the T&C, it should be within 2-4 week after the end of each subsequent week, meaning have to wait 5 weeks?
Then, it is 1 day late for cash back week 2 and earlier than expected for cash back week 3 and cash back week 4

The Cash Back payment will be credited into the Participant’s principal credit card account registered under this Promotion within 2 - 4 weeks after the end of each subsequent week and shall be reflected in the Participant’s credit card statement, itemised under “12% Weekly Cash Back Bonanza with PB Credit Card - Week 1 to 12”.

Some update regarding the samsung galaxy phone and watch promotion.
I manage to get both after I write a complaint letter to public bank.
Told them in the term and condition, it didnt state that we can join only one promotion.
Maybe you guys can try as well.

Can. You have to pledge at least RM34k for its VS. And there is a stamp duty of 5% of your pledge amount, to be paid by you as well when you apply.

Shouls be 0.5% which is 170 bro..
No matter how much is your salary, as long as they rejected your application, the only ways to get it is pledge 34k FD..
Even you earned 1million, you still have to pledge such FD amount if they don't wan approve your normal application.

Just got my first statement after activating the card for ~ 6 weeks. I received and activated my card around May 15 and statement date mentioned is on 28th of every month, however I didn't get any statement in May despite having 3 transactions on May 20/22/24. So I can only get RM60 cash rebate and should have gotten another ~RM30 if I got the statement on May 28.

Anyone has similar experiences?

Submitted balance transfer (for 0% 12 mth as part of new card member offer) last Thursday, still no news from them yet. How long does PBB typically takes to response/process?

Do you have an online PBe account/access?.... Every transaction is captured immediately... in the amount spent, balance limit... etc... it's better and clearer (than most banks that I have access to...4 other online accounts)

I do have an online PBE account for years and have the card linked to my online account since day 1. I can see all the transactions but they skip the first statement (which should be on May 28), and roll all the transaction for 1st 6 weeks into 2nd month - which is my first statement. Because of this, I'm losing ~ Rm30 in cash rebate should PBB issue the first statement on May 28.

can anyone confirm if online payment are considered "swipe" or not? PBB CS told me that a swipe has to be a physical swipe ie. take out the card from wallet and SWIPE at machine smile.gif

VS cardholders, can confirm?

usually online is considered as a transaction. but since CS said it is not, then just do 12 physical swipe. if you want, you can email and ask again, they would be more careful when it comes to black and white.

Yeah, will do that cos other banks DO consider a transaction as a swipe , I actually ask him to check properly and he still insisted that have to do "physical" swipe tongue.gif

From what I read on AIA website, monthly is only available if auto debit.
So I changed all policies to quarterly instead.

It depends on policy.
If my yearly premium is rm1200 but quarterly is rm301, of course I don't mind switching to quarterly to enjoy 6% CB.

You will need to call AIA to check on your policy.
For mine is same or slight increase I cannot remember.

I think this card is going to be in popular demand once it is confirmed MBB2Amex no longer gives 5% CB. And it will get more difficult to apply. Another plus, it is easy to get waiver on AF.

Yea. Will be harder to apply as demand higher. They can rejected easily and suggest pledge FD so that they can utilize the FD money.

I swiped my card end of april, and i m not aware of the promotion that time. when i knew this promo from forum, i then SMS. waited about 4 weeks, ie at end of may, i called CS the first time. CS replied me will deliver the phoen within 4 to 8 week. and confirm i will be receiving the phone. waited another 2 more weeks, i feel weird, so i called CS again. this time, this CS is smart. he asked me how i apply my card, and told me only customer who applied the card online or walk into bank can get the phone. I actually applied the card at roadshow. the CS said will appeal for me. waited 1 more week, CS called and informed me the phone is approved. i got the phone within 3-4 days after CS's last call.

did you read my post about the application channel? if you are applying the card online and at branches, yes you entitle. else i think you need to call CS again to confirm. just to share what i experienced only. from what i experience, you dont need to wait 1 month to get the phone if you are entitled.

It says effective 20 July 2015... but their rebate is given on Statement Date. I wonder how PBB going to calculate the 6% rebate.
So maximum spend : RM833.33 (from 20 July 2015 onwards)

it only needs 1 minute for me to fill in but i always receive it like 5 minutes later. I don't know if this is my celcom problem or Public bank problem

If I understand correctly, after you hit the rebate cap, the rest spending on grocery or dining won't earn any VIP point, right?

No, no separate CB for supp card.

And if you want your supp card swipes to earn CB for you, make sure you dont cap and separate their Credit limit from the principal card CL.

Same here. Not getting timely notifications from PBB.
- 2 weeks after submit online and got similar message : Your IC number is not in our record
- re-submit online on 3rd week, no news at all from PBB for the next 2+ weeks
- Received a delivery failure notice from Pos Laju on the 5th week, turn out to be PBB VS card. PBB never call me at all
- Register for the free Galaxy V phone and performed 1st swipe the card ~ 1 week after activation
- 1st statement date passed(~ 2 weeks after activation), no news on statement, all transaction remained as unbilled transactions
- noticed from PBB online that my credit limit has been slowing increased to ~ 2X rclxub.gif over the next 4 weeks, I didn't call or ask for credit limit increase
- Received my free phone ~ 4 weeks after 1st swipe, this round was informed by their agent (who sent the phone) prior to phone shipment
- Submit my balance transfer after ~ 6 weeks from activation date, approved and executed by PBB after 3 working days, again PBB never call, only receive SMS a day after they post the transactions
- Finally my 1st statement is posted after 6 weeks from card activation date, only got RM60 cash back. Lost ~ RM20 cash back for not getting first "supposed to be" 1st statement on previous month.

i think during application of housing loan, if your salary payslip exceed 100k, then they will offer this card lor..
they offer credit card based on the pay you earn, not loan amount..but if you afford high loan amount, high possibly your income also higher which indirectly easier to get this card.
all can be nego also la, just request lor, their cc approval department might approve per case basic.

I think this is a scam for application through Ringgit Plus, do notice in #3 Ringgit Plus - Public Bank T&C that it has must be approved by Public Bank within thirty (30) days of the application date. So they purposely delay our application so that eventually we do not receive any free gift?

I also experienced the same 3 weeks delay few months ago.
I end up email to CS complaining, then suddenly name appears on IVR next day. Received another email reply from CS after card approved.

Email address custsvc@publicbank.com.my

Week 5 in for me too (50 every week, except for Week 4).

Just some grumbling here, to alert anyone in same position as me:

Week 4 made 3 transactions on Monday 25 May (MAS, Air Asia and Starbucks), all above RM100. The MAS transaction was carried out after midnight (2am+) but transaction date said 24 May! Called CS to show them my TAC and MAS confirmation e-mail to prove transaction date. But they said nothing could be done. So I lost my RM50 sad.gif

Week 10 made 3 transactions on Monday 6 July. One of them was to Triangl (Australian online retailer, but US server I suppose), at 2pm Malaysian time. Transaction date Sunday 5 July!!! Once I found out, I quick swiped another RM100 on Tuesday to make sure I wouldn't lose out again!

It happened to me too when I swiped at Cosway retail outlet but it was classified as direct marketing, so quickly did an online Pizzahut trax on Tuesday. Hopefully still qualifies.

For your week4, why don't u get all your evidence and email it to CS.

Its worth it. There are 12 weeks; assuming strike all 12 weeks, then it's RM600 free cash.

I've lost 1 week, but hoping all other 11 weeks will get through.

Just called CS and switch to RM50 cashback depends on your statement date. If your statement date is before 21st July, you will get RM60 CB for the very last time.

However, if your statement is after 21st July (mine is 28th July), the new Rm50 CB applies mad.gif

the CS told me can get it done within 2 days. I did changed the date, but my statement date is about 7-10 days to go when i make the request. they are quite efficient one, except the card application process la.

even for the mbb card, the CS told me need 30 days or more, but the new date take effect within 10 days i think.

So if say I change next statement date to 19/7/15, then all my BT-payments dated 22/7 would only appear in 19/8/15 statement giving me another 30days free credit. thumbup.gif thumbup.gif

maybe u changed the date before the new cashback amount was revised? if im the bank i would purposely make the date change slower so ppl would not be able to get the extra rm 10...but if they do then its good for all

I also intend to pay IJN using PBB VS thru M2U, will  I entitle for the 6% CB for online transaction?

The answer I got that we have to try it out first. Maybe after you get your statement, you share with us whether you get the cashback or not.

Cycle every Statement Date... as long as transaction is posted by the Statement Date, you will get the 6%.

if my statement date is today 10/7 and i made a transaction today, the posting date is 2 days after which is 12/7. Hence, the 6% will fall into next cycle which is 11/7-10/8, am I right? notworthy.gif

Do you need to include credit card statements from the banks that you are transferring over?

Roughly how much is the total fee (admin charges & GST), calculated in term of the percentage of the bill amount?

Thus, we would know whether the cashback can offset this total fee.

Thanks, cempedaklife and cybpsych.

The effective all-inclusive fee is 2.12%. So, it is definitely worthwhile for those who have Public Bank Visa Signature Card.

The rest who only have other credit cards will not be so fortunate.

You can also drop the BT form off at any Public Bank branch near you, no supporting statements required (that's what I did).

i did resend but that was two weeks ago when i called for the week 3 so the date would be past the week 6 already...thus i would expect them to put my no in for the earlier weeks once they rectify d issue for week three

May I know within how long will I receive the card after I submit documents to PBB??

why 12%? i tot it should be only 6% based on the info in first page. "online trasaction" acceptance list.

This maybe trivial/elementary... but I'm not familiar to PB's SOP.... when I made my statement payment by IBG, I keyed in 1 cent less than the full payment... This should not have any adverse effect right? Interest?? etc...

Just called CS and switch to RM50 cashback depends on your statement date. If your statement date is before 21st July, you will get RM60 CB for the very last time.

However, if your statement is after 21st July (mine is 28th July), the new Rm50 CB applies mad.gif

There are many people have more than 4 credit cards out there.

The credit card application approve or reject depend on many factor and no just how many credit card on the applicant have.

It is depend to many factors as some listed below (different bank have differect factor)

- DSR
- income
- debt
- how many credit card or how many bank credit card
- outstanding credit card amount
- prompt payment or late payment for credit card
- CTOS / CRISS

Can I call their hotline to find out the reason for it being rejected?
I just receive letter stating that my application has been rejected (applied on 2/7). Income requirement pass, no debts, 3 banks CCs no outstanding and prompt payment without fail. Do you know if having a BT done has any effect?

ya just call them and ask. they will let you know. usually its due to missing documents. just submit it and then they will proceed. mbb also.

only OCBC is the stupid one that will tell you "the reason why your credit card application is rejected is confidential to the bank" sweat.gif sweat.gif

If you have provided all the document stated in the form, it could be your BT or sudden surge in PB VS application.

I applied for Visa Signature on 5th July through the PB online submission. When I checked through the IVR, the status was "the application has been cancelled".

However, when I contacted the customer service, the officer told me that, the staff accidentally added another card type and therefore they cancelled the wrongly input card type.

I have a very bad feeling that my application will be rejected due to owning to many credit cards from other banks and I suspect the scenario was the management had declined my VS application and intended to issue me the platinum card.

p&c = private & confidential

imo, banks are reluctant to disclose the rejection reasons to prevent ppl disputing their methodology/criteria/policies or comparing with other banks. so, hiding behind p&c is a "blanket" reason to stop customers from asking.

there are many reasons or combination of reasons (as shared above) to reject an application.

i checked with hl cc officer before, BT surely will affect the application...it is counted in your debt..just like your house loan/car loan.. from HL approval department, debt to net income cannot be more than 65%, else will failed...
for example, if you got 7k loan to serve per month, your net income is 10k...means 70% already, system will reject, need to submit more income document to them, or submit fd..

mine also rejected by Public bank..they didnt even call or inform me, just receive letter like you...i am waiting for their call to ask me submit more document...
for HL, i was being rejected for first time, the officer sms me, ask for more document for second try, explain alot of thing to me also.

i also will reapply public bank VS soon, after most of the BT clear..

My BT was a very small amount cause I was trying out 0% BT for the first time, but I guess it still has an effect towards the application. Another 5 more months until it clears. Have had no issues with applying CC with other banks. Maybe I'll reapply after I clear off the BT.

I think we can wait a week then email the cs email or call them.

Called them today 603-21768000 to inquire about PBVS card application status.

The automated system requested me to check status using my IC number, however there was no record.
Called again, this time opted to talk to a customer service person. Quite pleasant and friendly.

By right after online application, we need to wait 2 weeks to call and check.
But she did a check and saw my details being loaded and under process.

Will call back in a week to see status.

Opps. I had a wrong impression that the total credit limit affects the credit card application success rate.

I have a bad feeling that my PB VS will be rejected because I am holding too many bank cards, Maybank 2 card platinum, CIMB WMC, Hong Leong Bank VI (and Mach by HLB VS) and ambank WMC (newly approved).

PB may consider I am a high risk applicant for having high credit limit with not so high income :-(

When I applied for it two months ago. I had five other CC from Maybank, CIMB, Public Bank and Citibank. And I had several outstanding BT amounting RM400++ a month with Public Bank. One car loan with Maybank and one 500k housing loan with UOB. But Public Bank still approve my VS. I think it might also due to your debt service ratio.

What's your total limit for all cards? Mine was 59k while annual income barely exceeds the requirement.

Another reason which I can think of why they reject my application is I rejected their car loan after it was approved in last year.. i didn't have any loan, fd in pb bank. Only a saving acct with less than 50 dollar always..

I believe that if you hold alot of their product, chance to get approval is higher.
This happen to me for mbb cc, even though other bank reject me due to high commitment, but mbb still approve additional new cc to me because I have car loan house loan and fd with them..
HL rejected first time, but after submitted HLebroking statement, they approved as well...

Finally got my card after 6 weeks sweat.gif
My case: income clear pass, no debts, no loans, no credit cards, >rm100k in pb fd acc
Thus expected a straightforward and hassle-free application where I can obtain my card soonest, and I was sooo wrong lol

28/05 submit application via pb branch (I applied online the day before, but had problem uploading the scanned docs, so decided to do it in person just to avoid any delays in processing) , according to cs it will take 3 weeks
After that I checked application status thru IVR every other day - same answer: not in record
Just to make sure, I get back to pb branch again, and they said status still processing so nothing can be done atm.
Until 20/06 received SMS stating application approved, and finally status updated in IVR as well.
Then impatiently waited for my card (I opted for postage, but cs insisted send card to branch will be better, so fine I gave in)
07/07 received SMS stating delivery to home address fail (??? rclxub.gif ) Im 100% sure I ticked the option send card to branch, and i definitely did not get any fail delivery notice in my mailbox, cs said they used registered postage, so in my mind that can't happen.
so called hotline and ask them to mail card to branch, which they said will be done same afternoon
10/07 called pb branch in the morning to find out if my card has reached them, they say will check and call me back
Received call at 4.50pm, claimed card just arrived, asked me to collect coming Monday
13/07 so finally... End of story lol

I'm from east malaysia btway, so I guess for new applicants it gonna take an average of 3-4 weeks, if not for the delay in my case.
So good luck to those applying, and patience patience patience laugh.gif

i thought of apply for the PB VS card since amex no longer give the weekend rebate.

If let say my monthly income is consistently ~10K including OT and allowance, any chance i get approved?
(my basic salary alone won't be able to achieve the requirement of 100k gross annual salary)

Should i apply online or go to the branch? which one faster

can we collect family member's credit card with an authorisation letter?

Nope, can't be done.
I asked if my family can collect for me, but they said need ic and thumbprint verification.
Family can only collect their respective supp cards..
Hope that helps smile.gif

My Agoda booking is under pay later option so no 100% confirmation but I was personally assured that agoda will receive the cashback.

no need. rm10 x 3pcs can be paid together with one swipe.
