Finally got my card after 6 weeks sweat.gif
My case: income clear pass, no debts, no loans, no credit cards, >rm100k in pb fd acc
Thus expected a straightforward and hassle-free application where I can obtain my card soonest, and I was sooo wrong lol

28/05 submit application via pb branch (I applied online the day before, but had problem uploading the scanned docs, so decided to do it in person just to avoid any delays in processing) , according to cs it will take 3 weeks
After that I checked application status thru IVR every other day - same answer: not in record
Just to make sure, I get back to pb branch again, and they said status still processing so nothing can be done atm.
Until 20/06 received SMS stating application approved, and finally status updated in IVR as well.
Then impatiently waited for my card (I opted for postage, but cs insisted send card to branch will be better, so fine I gave in)
07/07 received SMS stating delivery to home address fail (??? rclxub.gif ) Im 100% sure I ticked the option send card to branch, and i definitely did not get any fail delivery notice in my mailbox, cs said they used registered postage, so in my mind that can't happen.
so called hotline and ask them to mail card to branch, which they said will be done same afternoon
10/07 called pb branch in the morning to find out if my card has reached them, they say will check and call me back
Received call at 4.50pm, claimed card just arrived, asked me to collect coming Monday
13/07 so finally... End of story lol

I'm from east malaysia btway, so I guess for new applicants it gonna take an average of 3-4 weeks, if not for the delay in my case.
So good luck to those applying, and patience patience patience laugh.gif

can we collect family member's credit card with an authorisation letter?
*
Nope, can't be done.
I asked if my family can collect for me, but they said need ic and thumbprint verification.
Family can only collect their respective supp cards..
Hope that helps smile.gif

Applied supp card for my family through branch on 13/07 and received card via post today despite selected option send card to branch. Anyways 2 weeks was surprisingly fast.. I guess for supp card application it's relatively much easier thumbup.gif

Just wondering.. Anybody here holds visa infinite of any bank? Is it worth applying? VI doesn't seem very popular here, yet i would like to know what are the main benefits. Like how i applied PBVS solely for the purpose of cb laugh.gif

Did PB call the supp card for verification, or they just process straightaway and send out the card? I'm asking because I intend to apply for a supp card for a person who is not in Malaysia right now. Don't want him/her to answer roaming call from PB. Thanks!
*
Nope.. No verification at all. Checked via IVR regularly status changed from "in process" to "approved" in 1 week. But I actually applied in front of pb customer service with my family member beside to sign the application form. You plan to apply online? Or else you gotta just hand in an application form that is pre-filled (and signed if you can) I guess. And of course a reminder don't forget to tick option send card to home address and make sure somebody's there to collect it. Caz in my own case, no attempted delivery and when I called cs the only option left is send card to branch, and for that supp card holder must be physically present to self-collect as ic and thumbprint verification is mandatory.

Just to share, if you do plan to activate the supp card on behalf of that person (although we are not supposed to) please make sure you remember "mother's name" that you've entered during application. Today I paused for 1.5sec during phone verification trying to recall and busted, cs asked to talk to card holder straight doh.gif lol

Thanks wing2010 for your clarifications! Yup, I plan to apply online and got all the details including signature. I usually ask banks to send to office so there shouldn't be a prob with physical verification by supp cardholder.

I'll activate the card when him/her comes back. BTW, with SMS activation, you don't need to speak to CS and do verification. Won't sound suspicious if can't do verification flawlessly.
*
Yeah the activation via SMS 66300.. Totally overlooked that lol! doh.gif
Btway may I know which gift you chose for principal? Wondering if anybody got samsung j1 and managed to sell it off later laugh.gif

also i talked to our PBB CS about the rebate cycle.. she was so sure it was based on calendar month.. its statement month cycle right??.. ronnie also mentioned in the 2nd post..

I can't use posonline as well.. What error you got? Mine shows mother's maiden name incorrect, use supp card also unsuccessful. Yet I noticed months ago that public bank also no longer an option in direct debit.. Really dunno what's wrong

So does your supp card has its own separate 6% cashback feature, ie. another rm50?
*
yes if you assigned separate credit limit for supp card
mine was initially combined so cashback was shared as well
however i managed to change my supp to separate cashback 2 weeks ago by calling cs.. credit to one of our forumers for sharing the tips (can refer few pages back) thumbup.gif

Want to ask, I registered the 80 swipe campaign last week, n my supplementary card approved after my SMS registration. Will PBB auto capture the eligible transaction made by my supplementary card later? Or I need to register my principal card again to make my sup card auto link for the campaign since sup card cannot register itself. N I applied my card under separate credit limit.
*
Hi, my case is exactly the same as yours. Have you gotten the answer?
I called cs today and he said supp transaction will be included even if it's activated later, so I didnt re-register my principal again.
But I guess we can only be really sure when we receive the 80 swipe cb in few weeks time.
By the way you can't view your supp card account summary/transaction via online account also right? Acc to cs, supp card with separate cl can only be given hardcopy statement. To me abit troublesome caz not easy to track the transactions and plan for max cb under this promo campaign sweat.gif

Re Every Swipe Counts, from TnC https://www.pbebank.com/pdf/Promotions/tc-everyswipe.aspx

(11) The Participant must swipe his Public Bank principal credit card for a minimum of THREE (3X) times....

(13)(2) Qualified Retail Transactions made by a Supplementary Cardmember shall be aggregated with the Participants and the total eligible Cash Back payment will only be credited into the Participant’s credit card account only.

I am confused. Item (11) seems to suggest only swipes using principal card qualifies. But item (13) seems to state that swipes by supp card also boleh qualify.
*
supp card swipes do count.. just that it wun be separate cashback under this promo campaign
i.e. max cashback per week combined principal+supp will be 20/50/100

If my current transaction has used up all rebate RM50, will following transaction within same statement entitle to VIP point?

Or, how can we get VIP point?
*
In fact transactions that are entitled for rebate are not eligible for VIP points, i.e. you can collect VIP points thru any other retail transactions
can refer to your handbook.. more details there

Hmm... Total cash reward allocation for this campaign RM50,000 means only first thousand ppl who sign up will get it kan? I just sent in application for AFT today, hopefully can receive the RM50 cash reward instead of wasting my RM10 stamp duty paid laugh.gif
