i thought of apply for the PB VS card since amex no longer give the weekend rebate.

If let say my monthly income is consistently ~10K including OT and allowance, any chance i get approved?
(my basic salary alone won't be able to achieve the requirement of 100k gross annual salary)

Should i apply online or go to the branch? which one faster

Finally got my card after 6 weeks sweat.gif
My case: income clear pass, no debts, no loans, no credit cards, >rm100k in pb fd acc
Thus expected a straightforward and hassle-free application where I can obtain my card soonest, and I was sooo wrong lol

28/05 submit application via pb branch (I applied online the day before, but had problem uploading the scanned docs, so decided to do it in person just to avoid any delays in processing) , according to cs it will take 3 weeks
After that I checked application status thru IVR every other day - same answer: not in record
Just to make sure, I get back to pb branch again, and they said status still processing so nothing can be done atm.
Until 20/06 received SMS stating application approved, and finally status updated in IVR as well.
Then impatiently waited for my card (I opted for postage, but cs insisted send card to branch will be better, so fine I gave in)
07/07 received SMS stating delivery to home address fail (???  rclxub.gif ) Im 100% sure I ticked the option send card to branch, and i definitely did not get any fail delivery notice in my mailbox, cs said they used registered postage, so in my mind that can't happen.
so called hotline and ask them to mail card to branch, which they said will be done same afternoon
10/07 called pb branch in the morning to find out if my card has reached them, they say will check and call me back
Received call at 4.50pm, claimed card just arrived, asked me to collect coming Monday
13/07 so finally... End of story lol

I'm from east malaysia btway, so I guess for new applicants it gonna take an average of 3-4 weeks, if not for the delay in my case.
So good luck to those applying, and patience patience patience  laugh.gif

Just to share my experience, pbb card centre insisted my card was mailed to my home address, but it never arrived. No fail delivery notice etc. At the end I asked them to mail it to the branch. The package I picked up from the branch was a replacement card (they consider the first card lost), no welcome letter, hard copy tnc etc. that you would normally get with a new card.

Edit: Applied via branch and it took almost a month to be processed and approved.

it happened to me in HL credit card.
Doesn't arrive to my home address and resend it to branch, only have card without any hardcopy, and nothing. When i ask the branch officer, they just answer me don't know why...
Thus, i start to choose pick up from branch for this public VS which is faster and safer.

How To Claim Your 2-in-1 Trolley Luggage Bag*

1. Activate your credit card with a transaction of any amount within 45 days from your card's approval date. Public Bank will send you a Unique Code by SMS or email.

2. Visit the RinggitPlus Gift Claims Page.

3. Enter the Unique Code and we’ll send a PIN to your RinggitPlus registered mobile number. Once received, type in your PIN to claim your gift and get more for your money!

I just email to PBCS as I swipe yesterday night. Wait them to reply.

Have you received the Unique Code?

I think the term and condition on the first page should be updated.

Has anyone tried paying TNB using PBB VS through M2U to get the cashback?

I made a small payment to test but already reached the RM50 cap due to the cashback revision. So unable to verify.
