If they push into 2nd batch.. I will complain cos i didn't PO for "2nd batch" ... Sony fb page replied me and told me that, no sellers supposed to take 2nd batch PO.. if anything send them my receipt etc and they will escalate the issue.

Yeah, there was a big hoo hah on the Iphone 12 threads because their Iphones only reached SH East Malaysia 1 week later while other resellers at EM already the Iphone 12 range on that particular launch date itself.

I hate to be bearer of bad news but I hope the same doesn't happen to our PS5 preorders.

Are there any setbacks purchasing a Region 2 game as far as DLC is concerned?

I know that the game on the disc itself is playable.

What if they release a DLC and you'll need to purchase the DLC for region 2 only right?

What's your advise, should we always purchase R3 or is it OK to purchase different regions and is there a workaround as far as DLC is concerned?

New to console gaming here.

Buy r2 if you know its those complete edition.
For physical disc redemption of dlc you still need a r2 account

Mostly I only buy r3 and r1 as I have accounts in both. my US account abit mafan thou. Have to buy top up card to reload then purchase.

For ease of use, just get r3 if not familiar.

90% of the time dlc is region lock.

But you can still get DLC on R2 account and play it on R3 or R1 account, I did this with Spider-Man and it’s DLCs.

I saw somewhere that Spiderman Miles Morales ultimate edition was RM20 cheaper for the R2 version.

I just wanted to know if it's OK to save some money and go for a different region if this doesn't cause any 'troubles' as far as downloading DLC is concerned. Seems that Simmarjit has done that and there is a workaround by downloading it using R2 and playing using your R3.

You can. But u need extra step on account creation. And get the top up card. Unless you intend to buy lot of games from r2, it's usually not worth it.
Their top up card is not so readily available like US and JAP accounts.

Somehow r2 has lesser discount, and games is more expensive there.

I got HK, SG, UK, JAP, US and MY account.

Ends up only use MY for ease of use, and US cuz they have better discount usually.

I only have MY and HK accounts. And ya. I also ends up only use MY account for ease of use. The HK account is specifically for purchasing Chinese version games that are not available in MY PSN (eg. Bandai games).

]Not that I wanted to. I created amost of it during ps3 days when MY doesn't have store, you can only have either SG or HK.

And that time the only store fill with goodies is US Psn, that's why till now I'm still sticking to US as my main account. All my cloud save and trophies is at this account.

If you want to buy dlc or know that there's dlc coming out soon that u want to buy, stay away from r2.

The original question is on purchasing dlc, so r2 is expensive on its store with lesser promotion and discount most of the time.

I have multiple accounts too. Main is US. Also created during PS3 era when some games are only available for specific region. And US's items are cheaper. But now the US psn+ is more expensive than msia's psn+. I even got EURO account for FF14.

Maybe on Thursday night or Friday morning I will call them to follow up, but they assure me stock is confirm next week, means we sure weekend will be getting PS5 Which at least is a good news la😆

I have ff14 too. UK sub is cheaper that the rest of the world somehow. .i keep mine in US thou. I play it on pc and ps4.

I didnlt create UK account last time cuz I think SE UK reject my CC.

And for PS+, I buy from cdkey. Its usually on usd29.99. Before that is from amazon black Friday sales. Usually on usd35 to usd40. I never bought it at usd60.

Man the adaptive trigger on dual sense controller is really unnecessary for game like fifa.

Make my index finger sore and there is no option to turn it off. Heard its also horrible on cod cold war try to mimick firearm trigger.

You can turn it off, COD has an in game option but I think Fifa has to be set using console's system settings

Thanks guys , its really night and day with it turned off . The right r2 trigger is fighting against you . Really a dumb gimmick I might say. Good for effort introducing something new but real world use pretty useless counter productive.

Yeah the order of PO received. So start from 12th all the way down to latest one but subject to the stock allocation. So let's say for example if 100 people ordered on the 12th and you are #100 but they only receive 99 units this time, you will be slated for the next. The ones they call up will go to collect and/or settle full payment.

Don't think that's how I read it. They open a 2nd pre order list for 2nd batch I think. Which he po on 14th.

But some of the 2nd batch got move to 1st most likely.

If he is 14th on queue, its most likely confim can get on Friday edi. The store have more than 50 units ea

Yeah, adaptive triggers being new means there'll be a few games that just fucks up the implementation.

Pre-order something and then wait for it to come is nice .Because you have something to look forward in life .

But just dunno why, this PS5 thing I think its "too much" looking forward maybe? Maybe too over?
1.Keep waiting pre-order announcement where Singapore got it first, then everyday see people hentam Sony Malaysia Facebook page. That period last for about 2 months at least.
2.Then pre-order details announce ,everyone excited and go to the shop to ask. Most shop said haven't got details here and there, waiting for announcement. That day 11th-12th Nov 2020 is the most happening day.
3.After pre-order, then scare your shop disappoint you, some people said their pre-order got cancelled, then start doubt your own pre-order .That period last for about 2-3 weeks.
4.Now is finally on the launch week, no guarantee from shop whether can get on Friday, then doubt again for 1 week.(This week)

Story not end......
5.Ok then if receive a faulty console (Touchwoods) ,still doubt whether can immediate 1-1 exchange ,or need to 2 weeks to 1 months? Then another waiting and look forward when the console will arrive.

Hell yeah. Excited because not really because of the games but rather fast loading times! lol If it was one thing I hated about the PS4 with a passion it's the loading times. Also I have a lot of backlog games that I'll be able to play, enhanced on the PS5 like GoT.

The one gripe I have of the PS5 is the "What's new" tab is gone from the UI. I sometimes enjoy looking at what games my mates are playing at the moment from the trophies they get, events in games that they will be participating and also things they post like screenshots and stuff. I hope they bring this back to the UI in a future update.

if you scare your ps5 faulty.
1.dont open game while downlaoding game in sleep mode.
2.disable standby/sleep mode
3.dont use external hdd
4.dont use lan cable ,just use wifi .
5.dont use any 3rd party device on ps5 usb.
6.some ps5 front usb cant charge the controller.(need use the back usb)
7.cold war and new spiderman sometime crash the ps5 (force ps5 to restart)

I'm excited too but at the same time controlling my hype in case I don't get the first batch.

For me it's also bcoz I only paid a fraction of the cost, the rest is coming from company bonus money which have to be spent on electronics, cannot get cash. So perfect timing.

I'm starting other game on PC just in case I don't get it the first batch, at least something to play. But to be honest I'm quite sick playing on PC this year With work from home for almost a year already, morning until night time all I'm doing is just sitting on my chair, either working or gaming. Really feel like I want to simplify my gaming life to just console.

So it's not the end of the world if I got bad news this friday, but it will still hurt a little.

Yup. More stock for 1 to 1 exchange too in case there are issues.
Though having said that, I don’t think they’re will be any difference in stability till at least Q2 next year.
