once it's refunded, then nothing you need to pay already. it's not considered as early settlement, don't worry.

It will only appear on your statement, you will not see it in your unbilled transactions.
It is based on your total spend of last statement.

yup, this the right answer...the problem is, seller still put up unit for sale, where they actually no more stock.

that was my 4th unit biggrin.gif

and really hope, after refund, uob will offset accordingly per month, instead of full settlement as i worried..

you don't pay to booking.com, you pay directly at the hotel upon checkout. unless you didn't turn up at the hotel, then only they will charge to your cc. you key in your cc detail is for this purpose of guarantee only.

Then I guess no online cash back. Agoda is safer if don't choose pay later.

I make a purchase in Taobao at Jun 1st 8AM, and now in my unbilled transaction stating Transaction date = 31 May and Posting date =04 June.

why my transaction date moving one day before? my SMS transaction alert was stating 1st Jun as well.

Does this mean that this transaction will be in May quota? That is too bad because my May quota already full

Not sure, probably the payment gateway is delayed.
Could be May quota, if anything happens later, just raise a dispute.

delay means it move to future date, but this case it move to the past (from Jun 01 to May 31) . Is that even possible?

Update:
called UOB CS. they mention the system capture the authorization is on 31 May 11.51PM, hence the date is 31 May.
But when i look back my SMS transaction alert, the date was 01 Jun 7.51AM, so I asked for double confirmation because even we are using merchant timezone it should be GMT+8 same with malaysia timezone as well.
(Posted transaction location is CN)

However, CS say this is what it capture in the system and unable to make modification for it, but they can put a remark in that transaction to for calculate the 5% rebate in Jun rclxms.gif
Well, as long as it calculate in Jun then I am ok with that.

the time capture by UOB is 8 hour earlier for this oversea tranaction, so i think maybe the Alipay gateway was in GMT+ 0.00 even though it stated CN in description.
Next time I better make transaction on that day night to avoid this happen again.

Hi... i saw another thread that someone suggest to pay DBKL using VOX via m2u (add VOX as 3rd party CC as pay option)

will this method be entitled to the 5% cash back? or is it just DBKL not part of "bill payments" or what...?
I would like to know if someone already experienced... thanks ><

mine also same case, I transacted on 1st June in the morning at 7 plus.

I called and told CS that it isn't on 31st May, she told me that they will change the transaction date to 1st Jun.
I'm unsure they will change it or not, well just have to wait 3 working days later to login and check again.

So the safest is to transact after 8am of the day.

It says error 500 internal error or something. The error page comes out after I choose "credit card payment" and click "submit".
Didn't get to enter my card details at all.

can u be more detailed in writing? we cannot guess what's on your mind.

1) what card u want to apply? there are 2 frequently-discussed cards here, uob one and uob vox.
2) what card u want to use to pay celcom bills?
3) where u intend to pay ur celcom bills?

with more info, we can help to advise you better and more accurately.

thanks for sharing smile.gif

so far no one shared their cb experience with vox at celcom self care.

if u can apply this card, then get it. if u read post #1 of eligible places, uob vox is more lenient in awarding cb for online-related transactions.

You may try UOBPayonline. So far it granted cashback for all the service providers that we have tried in the list.

when i go to UOB Online > CC > Unbilled Transaction, the smount id not there.

i realized the amount is shown here instead UOB Online > Account Summary > CC > VOX > Authorised Balance (RM)

1. what does Authorised Bal mean?
2. y is it not shown under unbilled?

I notice that my May Statement have no 0.3% CB for my VOX card, therefore i called the CS to report on it.

Subsequent to that, the CS explain that due to my CB amt is below RM5, hence no CB was credited on that month, therefore an accumulation of RM5 is require to be entitled for a monthly 0.3 % CB payout.

But as im aware no such term are noted under VOX CB. Should i make a big fuss on the issue? tongue.gif

Actually my first intention was to apply HongLeong CC. Then there are another CC Agents beside the guy, then I was like okay la, helping him for the submission quota. But I didn't expect I got qualify for it. lol

Just got the card and not yet activate it, still thinking how to use it. doh.gif

PS. I also try my luck on, MBB, Citi, SC, HSBC but got rejected. I rejected CIMB application due to online purchase on CIMB from what I heard got a lot of issues. whistling.gif

It's a useful card. Yes, pay for those things you mentioned. Actually CIMB CR is not bad, I have both UOB VOX and CIMB CR, they both complement each other. If my online transactions are below RM 50, I have to charge them to my CIMB CR for cash back. biggrin.gif

Hi all cc users, I'm gonna need to pay a big lump sum amount of Rm30k, what benefit can enjoy if I swipe UOB One Card?

Anyone ever called to CS to request for easy payment 6/12/24 months? What is the interest?

Being charged for RM6.36 monthly Admin fee due to recent Posonline payment issue causing no transaction in current statement. But I still have at least 1 transaction made based on calendar month.

At first, email to cs for waiver but rejected as they confirmed the monthly admin fee is charged based on statement cycle not calendar month.

Then, email back asking for the UOB T&C to prove what they said is correct or not.

Today, cs reply waiver approved upon goodwill basis and they attached UOB Product Disclosure Sheet.

Based on the PDS, I only see "RM6.36 is waived upon one (1) swipe per month at any amount" and I can't find it is charged based on statement cycle not calendar month. Apparently what the cs statement is not correct.

I had the same encounter too when I called last month. Based on some feedback from this thread, I knew it is based on statement date but due to I was in overseas and had nothing to swipe in April statement cycle, so I got charged with this monthly charges.

Nevertheless, I called and asked for clarification because I did make one transaction on 8th April and my cycle is 12th April to 11th May. So technically, I had one transaction in the month of April but not in the statement cycle. I was expecting answer that my request will be rejected and I will further argue based on T&C. However, the CS put me on hold for a while and after speaking to her superior, she told me it was a glitch in the system and it should be based on calendar month. They had waived it right away... laugh.gif So, I cannot argue further. tongue.gif

So experience from others tells, it is based on statement cycle. Don't trust the CS so much, some said statement while some said calendar month. laugh.gif

VOX will not give any cash back for below RM 50 online transactions.
It will be only in following month, so around 20s of July.

why is it so difficult for UOB to amend the correct transaction date after so many working days has passed?
It's clearly mine was on 1st June 745 am, yet UOB still show transaction date on 31st May.

I just receive my VOX card, it's my 2nd card from UOB after One card so I assume it would follow my One card statement date.

But I haven't activate it yet as I plan to swipe it after my statement date so I can have additional 1 month to pay. If so better I activate it after my statement date right as I don't want to incur any charges due to no transaction in statement month.

hmm.gif I think the statement cycle is fixed for your case, so it doesn't matter when you swipe. Correct me if I'm wrong, you can always check with CS. Nevertheless, if you really got charged, you can call to get it waived, I guess you have a valid reason because you are a new user.

I was told by CS that JOMPay was not counted as Retail transaction, hence being charged monthly fee.

Is that so? I was told somewhere in the SC credit card thread that every transaction is a retail transaction other than those EPP, repaying or something like that.

Don't trust the CS so much, some said statement while some said calendar month. laugh.gif

So it is based on calendar month or statement month?

Does buying lazada/zalora/etc... thru Shopback consider online transaction and eligible for VOX 5% CB?
It is not specifically mentioned in post #1, no one tried b4 or not eligible?

It seems CIMB CR no longer gives cash back to Uber (some got, some not) and GRAB.

Not sure about VOX. The amount is lesser than RM 50 for me most of the time, so I didn't link my VOX there. If I go airport, I just take taxi hired via Cab2KLIA app and got cash back.

shopback do not collect payment from you, as you still pay directly to lazada/zalora/etc. so there's no need to mention in post #1 and yes, you still get the 5% cb.

My TNB via UOB Payonline was on 23 May (both posting and transaction date).
Since cybpsych got CB for 4 May transaction, my guess either they do random check, or probably they changed to stricter setting in their CB settings.

I don't pay my utilities bills via UOB VOX, I use HLB Wise. So I can't comment much.
Have to wait for more people to feedback only will know whether it works.

Moreover, if it is not included, it should be for everyone in that particular month and not randomly by date. smile.gif Anyway, that's just my thought. So, best is to wait for others to show up here with their TNB via UOBPayOnline. I also feel that, if it is stopped, it should be stopped for all UOBPayOnline transactions and not specifically to just TNB. smile.gif

hmm.gif Your TNB was before 23rd May... But you did have a Telekom transaction after that. hmm.gif
Anyway, have to monitor another month to see if it is a glitch or not but if UOB were to remove, it makes sense to remove all UOBPayOnline transactions rather than just TNB.
fat_lip2525's all UOBPayOnline transactions on 23rd May didn't get cash back. It could be just 23rd now...

Are there any minimum amount spent for UOB VOX Card to entitled for 0.3% Cash rebate on retail purchases?

If I were to pay Indah Water Konsortium over the counter. Is it eligible for 0.3% cash rebate?

No minimum spend.

Yes, eligible. Why don't you use online? PosOnline has IWK right? unsure.gif

Well, depends how you utilize it. When you applied this card, you already knew it comes with AF, so just be prepared that the AF will not be waived in following year.

I know I have to pay for HLB Wise's AF but at least I know I'm getting back RM 100 every month, so the AF is worth to pay. It depends on your utilization and the usefulness of the card. biggrin.gif

I believe it is the retention department which called you, usually the CS will just read out the SOP and tell you it is not possible.
After you proceed with cancellation, retention department will contact you.

Amazon charged me Amazon Prime Membership without my knowledge as it was supposed to give me free 1 month trial and I didn't input in my credit card details so I thought it won't be charged after 1 month. However, who knows they charged straight to the card I used for my purchase. bangwall.gif

Anyway, long story short I requested for cancellation once I saw it on my unbilled transaction on 19th June which they have processed it rightaway.

Now due to our MYR strengthens (which to my dismay in this case) and I'm losing RM 21 due to currency exchange. Anything that I can go about it? Or just live with it? doh.gif Will I get cash back for this RM 21? laugh.gif

always like this de, same applied to NBA stream subscription, u will get 1 month free online streaming after u have entered ur credit card detail, but if you didt cancel in just before end of 1 month or earlier, u will automatically charged for the fee

regarding the refund issue, i also tiok once, i bought phone from taobao but the seller had no stock for near 1 month, so i requested for refund, and the refund amount became smaller because of RM kept depreciated

Credit Shield by Prudential UOB

I received a call so called from UOB HQ, promoting me the Credit Shield and said that no premium if I pay my credit card on time. Only is there is overdue, will charge me 0.65% of the outstanding balance. I checked on forum (source: https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...ost&p=57653635) mentioning that the 0.65% will be charged every month as long as your card got payment transaction.

How come the caller can be so misleading? Is this plan as good as he claimed? Which is true??? doh.gif

Kindly help and enlighten us. Thank you.

nope, he/she avoid some important message regarding the pay credit card on time. This only valid if you pay your payment before your statement is out, because the premium will charged on outstanding balance once your statement been generated. even if you repay the amount within 20 days grace period, you still have to pay.

I have the same experience with Amazon UK with this Prime Membership account. You can click 'End membership' and get refund.
"Paid members who haven't used their benefits are eligible for a full refund. You can't receive a refund if any of the household members have placed an Amazon Prime eligible order."

the agent who called is too tricky.. at first i thought it was just a call from UOB asking whether I am the legit owner.. then he direct to tell me benefit I entitled.. i was so shocked.. and ask if this is a plan or what.. then only i realized he tried to convince me to subscribe..

It was revised last year, not today or recently.
So whatever you seen on website is applicable to you.
Not only UOB actually, all the banks will have this kind of credit shield companies attached to them. So reject them next time. smile.gif

yea, i too got the same call yest from a guy, pretty tricky, new way of selling (not like others b4 this)
but since i had experience dy, i ask - is this an insurance plan, once he answered yes then bye bye dy

Actually no. CIMB is posted in the same month under unbilled transaction, just that it only appears in next statement.

UOB show direct in same statement so I just pay the remaining after deducting the cash back, statement on 18th direct show on statement.. CIMB take few days to appear.. normally after i already settled my full amount of statement... my cimb statement is 28th, normally i pay by 2nd/3rd but still no cash back appear.. UOB cash back better than cimb cash rebate thumbup.gif

Well, CIMB cash back is based on current month's cash back whereas UOB is based on previous month.
Not sure if you can offset like that for UOB because CIMB CR doesn't allow and will impose you penalty for short payment.

My statement date for UOB is mid of the month, so it will not work for my case.

Oh ya, I forgot about that part already masuk in statement.
For CIMB, it will only show in your unbilled transactions. So it is different.

don't scare me le... my maybank I pay after the rebate credit into my card then only i pay the balance.. since i gonna freeze this card, no need call bank to transfer the credit balance to my bank acc.. so far check from card is 0.00 outstanding balance.. my cimb so far actively using, so i normally pay in full statement... for what i think is the cash rebate credit like pay partially for me, i pay another to make into full amount.

make your life simpler.

you going to keep using the card, right?

if yes, pay statement amount. done. dont bother the cashback cuz you will eventually get it in next statement. treat it as "delayed reward"

if no, pay whatever outstanding, then cancel the card immediately.

So far quite satisfied with UOB. Credit card disputes were settled quite easily and fast, and when I called to cancel my Lady's card due to AF, they offered to waive it for another 3 years! Only thing is their call center takes forever to connect...

Hi guys, this month i only collect RM18.84 of cashback instead of RM50 when i spent RM1,000 in the month of May and RM3 cashback, which include paying TNB bill at UOBpayonline and Unifi at TM website as well as buying on taobao.

UOB made any changes to its T&C to exclude TNB or Unifi lately?????

cb = rm18.84, qualified spending = rm376.80 (18.84/5%)

seems these are counted:

6/5/2016 - 11street RM50
6/5/2016 - 11street RM50
7/5/2016 - 11street RM50
8/5/2016 - TMonline (EC) RM160.89
16/5/2016 - TNB at UOBpayonline RM66

total: rm376.89, 5% cb = rm18.8445 = rm18.84

I've paid Taobao with Vox before and I'm pretty sure i got cashback from that, eventhough it was long long time ago.

What is your method of paying? Did it go through Alipay or something?

Nope. I got my cash back from Taobao transaction this round, after my Amazon transactions. No issue at all.
I suspect it's because you paid on 1st and 2nd, they may have calculated it as last month's transactions. You will need to call CS.

Not quite true. As long as the cash back appear in your unbill transaction before your due date to pay the credit, you can offset the value. I have did that since 2 mths ago. No penalty

Unlikely.
If you check both VOX and CIMB CR t&c, only VOX states government payment is not entitled.
MyEG is one of the example where CIMB CR entitled 5% but VOX is not

Ya, but VOX no one try to use to pay LHDN before..

By the way, anyone use POSONLINE to pay AEON card today? When I chosen credit card and click next, straight shown error page without any chance to key in credit card details..

Oops, I thought I can use to pay today. I just activated VOX card today and my statement date is 25th same as my ONE card, so, I must swipe it by 25th to waive the monthly fee? Or they will be less stringent for new cardholder?

ckuanglim tried and confirmed not entitled with VOX.
I guess what laymank meant is to pay via AEON and pay to PosOnline with VOX.

Just called the CS and mentioned CB wrongly calculated. Put me on hold, and he did the calculation, then told me that he will put forward the request to claim back the missing CB.
Seems to me only unfortunately system error on 23 May.... let see if they "patch" the loop hole coming June CB icon_rolleyes.gif icon_rolleyes.gif

You can probably max up for one month if that's the case. Just spend like usual and see how it goes. UOBPayOnline belongs to UOB so may not be that bad yet.

UOB still earn merchant fee if we use Payonline to pay bill.. So, if they don't give cashback using their card, mean they might earn lesser merchant fee too..

1. There is a minimum of RM50 per online transaction to earn 5%. Only retail transaction has no minimum spending amount for you to earn 0.3%.

2. Based on T&C, she is correct. But if you pay the utility bill online, you may get 5% rebate as well. Check 1st page for the eligible websites.

no hard-limit, except the usual card's Credit Limit.

29. What is the limit of contactless transaction amount?
The limit of contactless transaction amount is capped at RM250 per transaction.
If the amount transacted is above RM250, you are required to enter your PIN to complete the transaction.

Is there a limit on the value of goods you can purchase with Visa payWave technology?
You can use your Visa payWave-enabled card for purchases at any value.
Your signature will be required on the transaction slip for amounts RM250 and higher.

Retail transaction means I go to any shop/restaurant right? I was told that there's no rebate for that...hmm
*
Retail transactions are any transactions that you charge to your cards, be it online or shops or restaurants. Fees that bank charges you like annual fee, late payment, financial fees, balance transfer etc are not retail transactions.

You rather believe the agent or believe those who have used the card since its launch? Your call blush.gif

Hi guys, I applied for 2 cards in April. Initially, I only wanted Vox but the agent at the booth kept saying that I must apply for 2 cards together and so I did.

I was told that free gifts will be given upon approval of the credit cards. The cards then arrived 1.5 months later. Now when I ask her again, she told me she has resigned. doh.gif

Is there any way I can get the free gift? It was supposed to be a car recorder.

Thank you.

UOB Payonline - https://payonline.uob.com.my/

It's a UOB owned online payment portal for a set of limited payees such as TNB, Syabas, DBKL, Maxis, etc.

If you own a credit card that offers cashback for online payment, then you can use UOB Payonline to pay those payees and earn cashback. One example is UOB VOX. Others like CIMB Cash Rebate and PBB Visa Signature card.

UOBPayOnline is a website which consolidates quite number of merchants and you can make payments to these merchants with no service charge using credit cards. Very useful website, I pay my TNB via this website.

But again, your UOB cards may have no benefits if pay to any merchants using UOBPayOnline, just for convenience only. If you have cards like UOB VOX, PBB VS and HLB Wise will have cash back if you use UOBPayOnline.

Go to CDM and pay lo. Easiest way is still GIRO, only 11c from any banks. I do this for all my cards and my main bank is Maybank.

Just realized UOB did not credit VOX 0.3% CB (RM1.xx) in my June statement, while for past months they did even for RM2.xx and RM3.xx.

Common, or they are now patching the hole only to credit CB if cumulative CB more than RM5?

does insurance autopay eligible under Retail 0.3% cb?

Already four (4) bill statements, never received any 0.3% since gotten the card in mid-March 2016. sweat.gif

example retail transactions:

1) car service centre, RM4xx (expected cb RM1.xx)
2) watson's, RM2x (expected cb RM0.0x)
3) medical insurance, 2-month advance payment RM6xx (expected cb RM1.xx)
4) medical insurance, monthly payment RM3xx (expected cb RM0.9x)
5) car insurance, RM1,xxx (expected cb RM3.xx)

no issues with Online cashback.

UOBPayonline and UOB.com.my are two different websites, although both are under UOB. Just remember to use the former to pay bills and you will get 5.3% for VOX.

Is this possible? Coz I only able to reach the credit card payment page with 1 payment. If got 2 or more payments in the folder surely got error.

It seems insurance is not considered as retail... It was mentioned somewhere in this thread...
*
even excluding insurance, there are other valid retail transctions: watson's and car service centre.

now i'm checking with uob cs whether monthly insurance autodebit charged will be deemed "a swipe" to fulfill the automated-RM6 monthly fee waiver.

let's see what's their answer laugh.gif

**update: uob cs called back. any swipes, any transactions, including insurance will be considered; thus RM6 monthly fee would be waived.

Yes, I did that. Added AEON and IndahWater. I only did AEON the second time.
Hmm.. let me check if AEON got the payment for the previous attempt.

**Thanks for the valuable tip. I added rm1 to Indahwater and it went in. Again, thank you so much.

Has AEON Credit received your payment from previous attempt on 24-6?

U made 2 payments in 1 bill holder this morning n it went thru  without ERROR?

Recently I got charged monthly fee and CS told me JOMPay transaction is not counted. But she went ahead to waive the fees for me.
So not sure who is correct now.

yalor, odd policy indeed. payment via jompay is a "swipe". autodebit is a "swipe". but there's explicit type of transactions to be considered. bangwall.gif

if i got charged again, i'll drill them to give me the proper info.

Should be coming to a year or so, I'm checking back my statements, don't think there is any AF charged to it yet but I remember it was free annual free when I applied back then, or was I totally mistaken?

But if there is AF, I want to be prepared to ask for a waiver or I'll just cancel it.

year 1 usually free with certain condition (e.g. 1 swipe within x-days, etc etc)

year 2 onwards, can request to waive AF. just remember to request waiver from CS immediately if you see the AF charged.

whatever it is, if dont see AF, good news.

if see AF, call CS to waive.

if CS dont waive, threaten to cancel.

if CS wont budge, really cancel it (be to cancel before calling to threaten biggrin.gif). chances are their retention team will call back to "save" you biggrin.gif

hi bro, i accidentally paid the AF for my uob one card in this month. I already call in to waive but they say it is compulsory on 2nd year onwards. I told them to proceed with card cancel and they say their retention team will call me within 1-3 days, will they prorate and do a refund on the AF should the card is really CANCELLED?

If the retention team didn't call you to waive it, you will need to pay the AF. No prorate. If they call you to waive, the charges will be removed.

I paid TNB Rm56 on uobpayonline via my uobvox card last month (first time) and I got only Rm0.28 for cash rebate, That's 0.5% cashback and not 5% cashback. Is uobvox some kind of a sick joke?
Also not all online purchases (flight tickets) are entitled for cash rebate? Only those published on the front page here?

I will remove June transactions because cash back for June will be only posted in July.

The problem now is where is your May 5% cash back which was supposedly posted on 18th June? All of us got it.

The 0.28 CR on 25th June is actually 0.3% cash back. Now yours has a missing 5% cash back.

Please call and check with CS. Etiqa Takaful should not be entitled, reported earlier.

This is recorded in my unbilled transactions:
user posted image

Unless they still had issues on 24th May, so far forummers posted 23rd May had issues and didn't get cash back.
But again, even U Mobile are no longer entitled, at least AliExpress should be still entitled.

Guys,
I'm using the UOB Platinum One Card. My Statement Date = 15/06/2016.

Just for example, I have a few petrol transactions as below:
21/05/2016 - RM80
22/05/2016 - RM80
28/05/2016 - RM80
29/05/2016 - RM80
04/06/2016 - RM80
05/06/2016 - RM80
11/06/2016 - RM80
12/06/2016 - RM80
18/06/2016 - RM80
19/06/2016 - RM80
25/06/2016 - RM80
26/06/2016 - RM80

So my question is, the limit of RM500 cashback for petrol, is it started to count from my transaction on 16/05/2016 until 15/06/2016 or is it following the calendar month, 01/06/2016 until 30/06/2016?

Sorry, I'm new here. Just got my card this month. Isn't it the 5% cash back will be credited on 30th of next month?
That means 5% cash back for May 2016 will be credited on 30th June 2016. It seems the 5% cash back was credited earlier which is on 18 June 2016.

No, it is not. It is the same for everyone.
The one attached to statement date is the 0.3% cash back. 5% is the same for everyone.

Sorry, I don't know for other UOB cards because I don't own them.
Just check out the T&C and FAQ of each card.

For UOB One, the rebate follows statement date. Vox is different date, but when it is credited, everyone will get it at the same time, almost.
