If not mistaken, D300s was about RM400+? I'm not too sure about this, you can try emailing Nikon for the quotation.

Guys, is this a good filter........? Seems like a good deal..........
http://shashinki.com/shop/77mm-ultraviolet...ce-p-10920.htmlNope, stick to filters such as Hoya HMC if you're on low budget. Go for multicoat filters.

SB700 = ~RM950 (quoted 6 months ago la)
Sandisk SD i bought for ~RM90 2 months ago... but dunno the promo still on or not....
sud get D7000 punya GGS screen no?
since D600 is a FX in a D7000 body

Different LCD size I think, D7000 uses a 3" but the D600 is 3.2" like the D800.

got my D800 yesterday..seems like 16GB card only gets me 200 RAW files lossless compressed..and 249 RAW files compressed..both 14bit..
looking to upgrade my CF and SD in a short while but just wondering..is there alot of different between lossless compressed and compressed?
thanks guys!
Never did a comparison between both lossless and lossy before, but I remember seeing the lossless retaining more shadows details back then. (It was a D700 review comparing different NEF settings), should be applicable to D800 as well.
16GB would get you a little more than 320 shots on 14-bit lossless NEF based on my experience so far.

Flash is something that you will keeping for a looooooooong time. Trust me

Bought my SB900 back in 2009, still using it!

That is true that is why I did mention "Poor Man's D7000" anyway its a good camera for the price. If budget is not an issue then even I would have gone for the d7000. My regular shop has been trying to poison me for a long time.
But for me currently I figured I would rather spend my $ on lenses than another body.

Oh well, I still feel D7000 is a better purchase compared to D5100.

hmm new model.
tho i guess 16 lvls of brightness is more useful for video.
actually the one i wanted to get is the aputure 198c.
198 leds, around rm260, and can adjust the color temperature without using gels.
tho not many have it in stock yet...some aputure sellers dont even know it exists.
the yongnou li-on batt must buy with seperate charger right? so i guess about extra rm120.
that led-5009 one is rm160 with the li-on batt + charger...how long it can last i dunno

That Aputure 198C looks good, it is able to stack up unlike the Yongnuo.
I'll ask around if this is available or not hehe.
btw saw this.. the 198C and 198A can't work with all LED powered up...
"Hi Pedro, the lux for the lights are as follows: AL 126: 673 lux, AL 160: 1245 lux, AL 198: 1325 lux, AL 198A @ 25 degrees: 734-913 lux, AL 198A & 60 degrees: 286-364 lux, AL 198C at 3200K: 321-407 lux, AL 198C at 5500K: 298-344 lux." The 198A/C LED isn't any close to the old normal 198 with 1325 lux!
