QUOTE(Pmc @ Nov 24 2012, 09:29 PM) hi, i bought D7K around 1 month ago. RM3530 body + kitlens + 8gb card + nikon bag. I'd advise just buy body n kitlens only from shop, as they might con you on the accessory. thats what i thought, btw what do u mean by might con on the accessory? u mean they will give bad quality bags and cards? |

umm DX is x1.5 and FX is actual...is it saying that DX is better then FX if i use it to take picture for landscape? but for close range like food it will be blur?

QUOTE(KTCY @ Nov 29 2012, 09:37 AM) you don't understand it. DX or FX all has nothing to do with better pic for landscape or food or etc. not quite understand , but thanks for the explaination.. i need more time to digest all this thingGet the fact right mate. Maybe this chart will help. Read more here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image_sensor_format QUOTE(MrAkay @ Nov 29 2012, 10:09 AM) it would require us to write a very long article to explain this to you, but basically DX and FX refers to sensor size in the camera body. the difference between FX and DX is just a google away. pls google crop sensor vs full frame snsor. and u will understand straight away hehe thanks for trying explaining it...i guess i need more time to get it understand since i am new to dslr user XDAdded on November 29, 2012, 10:58 pmanyone knows good reputation shop to buy camera? cause i still dunno where to get my dslr XD This post has been edited by tongweng: Nov 29 2012, 10:58 PM |

QUOTE(dvlzplayground @ Nov 29 2012, 11:12 PM) well you know te camera sensor is like the film right? try to think the lens as a window, which lets light fall onto the sensor Please allow me call u sifu...haha now i have better understanding on that already. but have to practice to know more about that XDa DX sensor is relatively small. to have light cover the whole DX sensor, u only need a small window = DX lens. FX sensor is bigger. so u need a bigger window (FX lens) to enable light to cover the whole sensor surface. so if u use a DX lens on an FX sensor...that's like having a small window that cannot let enough light to cover the whole FX sensor area. only the middle part can get light, the outer sides cannot. so an FX camera would crop / remove these unused areas at the side, else u end up with black borders around ur photo. using FX lens on DX sensor is fine...the big window can still cover the small sensor area now about let's talk about crop factor. say u have a FX lens + FX camera, and u take a photo of 3 people standing side by side. u'll get a photo of 3 people. now use the same FX lens on DX camera, take the photo from the same position and u may get a photo with only the middle person. the FX lens still 'sends' a photo of 3 people, but since the DX sensor is smaller, only the image of the middle person falls onto the small sensor. the sensor simply doesnt have any space to receive the image of the other two people standing at the sides. so the 'outer part' of the image actually gets removed / cropped out...which looks like u're zooming in when u're not. |

QUOTE(Calvin Seak @ Dec 2 2012, 12:12 AM) U1 and U2 is like a shortcut mode for you oh is it...thanks for the info XDFor example you may want to use U1 for Portraits and U2 for landscape.. since both landscape and portraits uses different settings, the U1 will maintain the Portrait settings and U2 for landscape, its just a short cut! Just an example |
