QUOTE(piscesguy @ Dec 2 2012, 05:52 PM) model aside...my personal opinion... using the 50mm f1.8 for a full body shot, ur background doesn't enjoy the bokeh effect. i believe for full body shot, ur focusin distance on ur lense is at infinity, ur background would be OOF, not bokeh. the 50mm is best for 1/2 body shots. full body i think the 85mm would be better... model...nice smooth skin texture, jus the expression a bit stiff Added on December 3, 2012, 11:50 am QUOTE(tongweng @ Dec 2 2012, 07:01 PM) DX bodies can use FX lenses, not a problem at all.in fact, the images would b expected to b sharp from corner to corner cos it's utilizing the center crop of the FF image. FX bodies can use DX lenses too, jus that the pic quality would affected and not the best quality This post has been edited by ijnek: Dec 3 2012, 11:50 AM |

i'm usin d600.
the magic number of shots seems to be 3000, after that the dust doesn't seem to increase anymore and gone. get 1, be trigger happy and send ur d600 to be clean when u pass 3000 shots. if u worry too much, u wun know what u r missing |

G or D, the 50 f1.8 is a good lens to hv.
i didn't like it on DX format, but on FF it's a love affair. |

i'm torn between the 70-200 f/4 and the 70-300 vr.
i might not use the 70-200 f/4 tat much, does it justify this price? since the 70-300 vr can do the tele job as well n even has an extra 100mm reach.. |
