with my old num, i activate 365 plan then topup rm30 once every 2-3 month only coz i'm not a heavy caller.. the question is can i do the same with this hot ticket plan? afaik, once we changed to the new hotlink plan (hot ticket), we cannot revert back to older plan rite? |

Yes i'm sure. If you're really on HOTLINK PLAN,normal Rm5 coupon will have 90 days validity period. As i mention,it's normal coupon not HOT TICKET! |

My credit limit increased up to RM1700 now but I lazy to call them to ask them to reduce the limit. |

Hi,
I interested in the Sony Arc and maxis has a plan for it by choosing any of the Ivalue plan and the data plan. I am just curious, do i get 2 sim card by choosing Ivalue plan and one of the data plan, as I plan to have data plan for my IPAD2. |

hi there,
ytd i called up the hotlink customer service line to unsubscribe the phonebook backup. the guy who answered the call asked me to dial *135* but it couldnt work so i tried *135# instead. Instead of unsubscribing the plan, he made me subscribe to it AND CHARGED ME RM2 but the question is, why am i subscribing to it now when i've already received the reminder saying that they will deduct my credit in 3 days? after that, i called up the hotline again, another woman answered the call and said that she would unsubscribe the phonebook backup for me.. BUT until now i've not received any msg on saying that it has been unsubscribed. wth? i think maxis customer service damn ridiculous and useless la trying to con money from us. i'm trying to unsubscribe, instead they made me subscribe(which i dont know how since i'm already subscribed to it), minus my credit, then nothing happened. CAN ANYBODY HELP ME ON THIS? |

Can you do tethering with the Hotlink HotTicket? Like the 24hour/100 mb one.
Edit: Ooops should search more carefully first http://www.hotlink.com.my/web/wcm/connect/...cket_faq_en_web QUOTE How do I do this? So answer is can.If you are using a Maxis modem, the necessary configurations are already pre-installed. If it is a non-Maxis modem, then some simple configurations are required as below: Using Modem Insert SIM into modem and connect the device to your personal computer Wait for desktop client to appear on screen Select Tools>Options>Profile Management Configure the information required as below: APN: unet Number to dial: *99# User ID: maxis Password: wap Please ensure your Modem has SMS capability to receive notification. I'd like to use my phone as a modem to surf the Internet on my personal computer. How do I do this? The settings are similar to using a USB modem with some minor differences. Some handset manufacturers provide computer software which will make it easy to use the phone as a modem. Eg. Nokia PC Suite for Nokia devices. If you do not have any computer software for your phone, Maxis recommends you to create a new network connection In both cases you still need to configure the settings below: APN: unet Number to dial: *99# User ID: maxis Password: wap Next question. Can I activate another hotticket before first one expire? I know can't have 2 active at the same time, if activate second one kills first one is fine. Reason I may want to do that is because if I run over 100MB data limit (for 1 day ticket) will be very expensive. Yes they send SMS, but depending on what I'm doing by time I noticed may be spend a few ringgit already. I guess can use slowly slowly when I know it's near running out but annoying like that. Easier if 95-99MB use already I just activate another one (time limit is not so much of an issue, just don't browse for 10 mins or so), lose 5MB not so bad as spending a few RM because over limit. Are there really such thing as old stock of starter packs? Don't Maxis retire the old plans? Hope you don't mind all the questions. |

Guys, want to ask.
I'm currently using Maxis HYC. I want to use 3G internet on my HTC HD2 (Android). Want is the best and cheapest plan available (for monthly)? I wont be using heavily. Facebook sometimes and WhatsApp more. Like Blackberry, there's this plan from Maxis that is RM20/month for BBM,WhatsApp and other things. How about HTC? |

how can i check statement since february? Im a hotlink user. These few days I noticed my number was charged for gprs data. I haven passed the allocated free 500mb every month. Yet Maxis charged me with data rates. RM30 gone for one day. I wanted to check previous statement too. I think Maxis did charged me under my nose. I din check previously because i reload rm10 per 2 weeks.

QUOTE(aspire2oo6 @ May 31 2011, 11:49 PM) i suspect the 365 days is not available on the latest Hotlink Plan, because with that plan you get 90 days validity with RM5 top up or hot ticket. the thing to note with Hotlink Plan is there is no 90 days grace period after your validity period expires - you have to top up before it expires or your number will be deleted straightaway. |

QUOTE(dgboy @ Jun 3 2011, 08:27 PM) i suspect the 365 days is not available on the latest Hotlink Plan, because with that plan you get 90 days validity with RM5 top up or hot ticket. the thing to note with Hotlink Plan is there is no 90 days grace period after your validity period expires - you have to top up before it expires or your number will be deleted straightaway. The new Hotlink Package is 90days validity? Cause recently my HYC got revoked suddenly, mailed them but to no vail...And not it's just Basic Plan (PELAN BASIC). Thinking of converting it to Hotlink Package.. Can you explain more on the package? Tried reading their website but seriously; it's a mess. |

I'm a Hotlink Prepaid user ever since I had a mobile phone... Been happy with it all these while, but recently I had a problem with my phone...
For the past 3 days, I have been receiving all my messages later than usual (ranges from 1 - 3 hour delays) and this has caused me some major problems... And sometimes, I could not even make or receive calls from others... Is there anything wrong here? Is Maxis/Hotlink upgrading its services now? If it is so, why we were not informed? Any idea what really happened? I need to know, as this issue has been troubling me.... If this still continues, I think I have to switch telcos... |

Hi, new to Maxis here. Just registered Hotlink number 011 xxxx xxxx 11 digits number 2 weeks ago. It's very cheap. May I know when does Hotlink will support 0.fb service? It should be perfect if support 0.fb service. Because now I realize DiGi is very freaking expensive...

QUOTE(l3iTi @ Jun 17 2011, 08:28 AM) guys....my sim card been around 8years old. yes ur sim card can support it if ur card is a 3g card...It's with 3G of coz... Right now, when i dial *100# I notice at broadband there, there's option for Daily Broadband for RM8 does my sim card support it? As i might need to purchase it for phone online usage. Aside, 2 Days Pass better or Daily Broadband better? Anyone tried b4? of course 2 days better.. rm8 - 1 day rm10 - 2 day but beware, both have limit 500mb bandwidth |

I plan to get sgs 2 with maxis contract with 1.5GB data plan, which is a better deal 12 or 24 months?
I call cs ask about the early termination penalty but they say changes according to months left only can find out when want to terminate... T.T sounds wrong |

WTA about Maxis postpaid. Is the call between principal & sub-line are FOC in this package : Rm50 principal & sub RM30?
coz i read from the maxis website it stated : -Get up to 15 hours of free voice and video calls between family lines*. -Get up to 1500 free SMS between family lines. so this means there are limitation and not unlimited calls between principal n sub-line right? want to confirm as my fren say otherwise, using d above plan also... They reach their credit limit because didnt subscribe to data plan. If u didnt subscribe it will charge u by kb used.
So imagine 1MB u downloaded by purpose or accident it still charge you This post has been edited by aspire2oo6: Jul 9 2011, 11:15 AM |

In the Q&A small print, the bonus airtime and sms is valid for a miserable 3 days only...
http://www.hotlink.com.my/web/portal/hotli...lan_FAQ_en_web# From the Q&A, it seems MAX plan = NEW Hotlink plan |

I got a message from Hotlink saying that I should top up RM10 for the so called free 3 days 100 SMS/50mins talk time to be valid. After I top-up, my balance is about RM33. I just checked my balance and it's at RM23. This Hot Ticket is misleading!

I ported to other lines, but at the end I came back to Maxis because
1. most friends still on maxis and refuse to port 2. coverage is still very good Agree it's expensive , but it's reliable. |

I'm really frustrated with Hotlink, first I top up RM10 and my RM7 disappeared just like that. Second I top up RM10 again and then the whole credit just gone. Supposedly to have RM13+ of balance but then my credit just left RM3+ as if like I never did top up.

I just change from postpaid due to crazy bills monthly, and now this.
Added on July 22, 2011, 4:54 pmCS called me, claimed that the lost balance goes to my data usage. Total BS, I don't even use any data on my phone and there's 1-2 times where WhatsApp sends me notification. I only reply when I'm on WiFi and totally monitor my data usage and what apps are running in the background. That's it, I'm changing telco soon! Hi guys. Im currently studying oversea but wanted to remain my malaysia number. I switched to hotlink 365 plan that claims if I top up RM5 or more I'll get number validity for 3 months.
I had tried it before on the first time and indeed my number was validated for 3 months even when i turn off my phone. Tomorrow will be the day my number expired. Today I asked my friend in Malaysia to top up RM10 to my hotlink number but when I check balance via *122# it says validity until 11.08.2011 (I suppose RM 10 = 10 days). Has there been a change in this plan? Thanks in advance. edit: Typo. This post has been edited by haruyap: Aug 1 2011, 09:47 PM |

Im not sure mine is considered old or new, I port my number from Digi to Hotlink during January 2011. It worked once for the 3 months validity until 1.08.2011. Any other options for me to get long lifetime validity? Im not in Malaysia now so it's hard for me if i were to port to another provider. |

Yeah I usually ask my friend to top up RM 5 directly to my account to keep it activated for 3 months. Yesterday when I top up RM 10 it only changed from 1.08.2011 to 11.08.2011 (10 days). But today I check again and it's fixed!! Now my number expiring at 30.10.2011. So it seems like there will be a delay in the line expiry, and that the plan 365 is still valid |

Is the RM38 / month plan for 250mb available for subscription or it's exclusively for maxis phone offer only?
Added on August 4, 2011, 8:32 am QUOTE(qdipanda @ Aug 3 2011, 09:49 PM) Yes and it comes with 39 sen credit only. But there is another way to go around this but not sure worth your time or petrol money or not. Just port your Postpaid to other telco prepaid - FOC. After successful porting, you port back to Hotlink - FOC. You have to make 2 trips, one to Digi/celcom center to port out, and the second one you need to go maxis center to port back to hotlink. This post has been edited by soul2soul: Aug 4 2011, 08:32 AM |

For RM18/2 weeks, you pay about RM40 / month for 200MB of data. Although Umobile RM28/month package is cheaper, it cannot match Hotlink's network coverage. Hey, I'd like to ask if I've subscribed to Maxis's iphone package and I don't want the spare credits (RM100 --) to go on waste as I'm a low user of the calls and sms, can I use the sim to subscribe to daily news or MP3 stuff to use up the credits? Will the charges incurred from the premium SMSes go towards the RM100 allocated for everything or go in a new bill?
Thanks |

i hav another question and i facing it nw.
my postpaid package, value 50+ 500MB data. my bill cycle end on day 6 of each month. but since yesterday my unbilled amount > 200++... i very less call and sms, every month voice call sure less than RM50. but i use for data the most and i got monitor it. very reach 450MB i will stop and not use it anymore.... but the situation nw, my credit limit is rm150 but unbill amount more than that...so line is suspended. i call to maxis, they suspect i over use data. but i wan to confirm, does maxis bill calc the data usage day by day?? cos accordingly to my bill, if data usage around 400MB, price is RM1k++ already.... so for me i dun think so my unbill amount reach RM200++ due to data, (correct me if i'm wrong..) does anyone face this problem b4?? and how does maxis calc the data usage? by daily or they only will calc when end of the day bill cylce(eg for me, calc after 6th Aug for this month)?? thanks |

QUOTE(qdipanda @ Aug 4 2011, 09:21 PM) i hav another question and i facing it nw. whenever data is exceeded it will be calculated at RM0.10 for every 10kb. Example if u use 1mb so had to pay RM10. If i'm not mistaken whether is a data usage or voice call it is calculated on the spot. u can always check the unbill amount by dialling *100# after 2 to 3 hour ,for it to be updated first.my postpaid package, value 50+ 500MB data. my bill cycle end on day 6 of each month. but since yesterday my unbilled amount > 200++... i very less call and sms, every month voice call sure less than RM50. but i use for data the most and i got monitor it. very reach 450MB i will stop and not use it anymore.... but the situation nw, my credit limit is rm150 but unbill amount more than that...so line is suspended. i call to maxis, they suspect i over use data. but i wan to confirm, does maxis bill calc the data usage day by day?? cos accordingly to my bill, if data usage around 400MB, price is RM1k++ already.... so for me i dun think so my unbill amount reach RM200++ due to data, (correct me if i'm wrong..) does anyone face this problem b4?? and how does maxis calc the data usage? by daily or they only will calc when end of the day bill cylce(eg for me, calc after 6th Aug for this month)?? thanks |

Problem with the data when u reach 500MB or more they wont be any indication or block so its best you use an app to monitor it.

But nw my case is, un-bill amount in one night from 10++ jump to 270++... few day already, d count still remain 270++..in previous i keep got this problem, unbill amount suddenly jump to 100++, after few hours, drop back to 10++...As what i know, maxis only will calc the data usage wen the bill cycle end, maxis wont update the data usage immediately, cos from the bill, around 400MB data, price is RM1k++ already, if like that, the line sure suspended in earlier, no need wait the bill come. but voice usage will update hourly.(correct me if i'm wrong) so nw i suspect the problem is related to my voice usage more then my data over use... |

How can we check whether Hotlink is doing maintenance to the network or not? I've tried to SMS / make a phone call for over 2 hours but none of them succeeded. It shows No Access to Network / Only Emergency Call. Omg.

1. i can confirm Hotlink 365 only available now for Basic and Extra plans
2. tonight i switch from basic plan to new hotlink plan 3. good thing, they give you 30 days validity from switching date (same as new sim pack gets, but you don't get RM4) 4. then, i call 122 and listen the computerised lady there 5. she says i must top up within 50 days of expiry date to "avoid loosing your credit" - this is consistent with the new 50 days grace period (old hotlink plan did not have any grace period - they just cut your throat, oops line, on expiry date) 6. but after that, she went back to the old announcement to say account will be cancelled (loose everything) "if you do not top up within 90 days" 7. so, i dunno whether 6 above is correct, or that lady needs re-programming 8. next one, is to top up at least RM10 within 7 days, then wait up to 14 days for the free hot ticket This post has been edited by dgboy: Aug 10 2011, 01:29 AM |

90 days validity
the "old" hotlink plan - launched in April 2011 - got 90 days validity for minimum RM5 top up or hot ticket, but no grace period (so line cancelled if you did not top up again by day 90) the "new" hotlink plan also 90 days, plus 50 days grace period - or that i understood it Hotlink website STAYING ACTIVE Q26: What does staying active mean? A: You can call, SMS and use your balance ANYTIME within this period. Q27: How do I stay active? A: To stay active and avoid service cancellation, just top up airtime credit or Hot Tickets of minimum RM5 before the service cancellation date (Except SOS, SATU & Ask-A-Top-Up). To check the service cancellation date, dial *122#. Q28: What happens if I top up airtime credit or with a Hot Ticket of less than RM5? Will my validity be extended to 90 days as well A: No. The extension of 90 days validity is only applicable with a minimum top-up of RM5 airtime credit or Hot Ticket. Q29: Will my validity be extended to 90 days if I top up via SOS/Share a Top Up/Ask a Top Up? A: No. The validity extension is only applicable for airtime credit top-ups and Hot Ticket. Q30: What happens if I don't top up airtime credit or with a Hot Ticket before my line expires (Dial *122# to check the expiry date)? A: Your line/number will be cancelled. If you wish to buy a new Hotlink plan, do visit our Maxis Centre or Hotlink dealers. This post has been edited by dgboy: Aug 14 2011, 03:18 PM |

eh guise. what is this, i registered a supp line for my gf, and we've been using it since, with the knowledge of it being free calls (15hrs) between each other
yet when the bill turns up, they're still charging me for every single call, even though if they want to charge me, they shouldve charge me for calls after those free 15 hrs right? seriously for no reason I was charged at least 150 on the supp line, and she's been calling me only none else, according to the bill. @_@?!?! Is this the way maxis wants to suck money? |

Something really weird just happened to my activ10 list. I had someone who now ported to Celcom in the list and I didn't remove that number from the list. Today, I checked my activ10 list and the number is not there anymore and it was replaced with a stranger's number. I called that number and the person who answered is definitely not someone I know. Even he was puzzled how his number was listed there, me even more so.
Anyone experienced this before? |

Thumbs up for Maxis maintaining its stability and speed of the network. One of my guess is, because of the extra charging after quota, which makes many ppl to turn off the data connection thus having less network congestion.

Hey all,
I called Hotlink Customer Service regarding credit deduction for GPRS usage while I'm subscribed to data plan. The customer service asked me to Jailbreak my iPhone4 to turn off the GPRS. Is that even allow? As I recall, warranty void for Jailbroken iPhone with Maxis. Added on August 29, 2011, 4:46 pm QUOTE(Shinichi @ Aug 26 2011, 02:11 AM) Anyone here on Hotlink free IP500MB plan? QUOTE(szaku89 @ Aug 29 2011, 07:00 PM) Did you check with Hotlink E-statement online? Yes I complain based on my E-Statement record. In half a day, GPRS deducted a total of RM40+ with RM2 each row in e-statement. There is still some deduction but not happen frequently. For my case, there is charges of GPRS usage, but it will be automatically rebated, this is what I understand from viewing the Hotlink E-statement, and I have called customer service before and they say the deductions are rebated. They did say automatically rebated but on that particular day, my credit hasn't increase at all. It wasn't reflected in E-statement either. Therefore i asked for evidence, they couldn't provide me with evidence even I asked if I offered to pay a visit any Maxis Center for clarification. P/S: They used up 3 month to get back to me on this matter which I'm very unsatisfied. |

If I were you, I will scold them off on the spot, how can you charge me while I am on the plan? QUOTE(eddievh @ Sep 6 2011, 07:20 PM) So, what is the advantage of HotlinkPlan 2.0 compare to HotlinkPlan 1.0 ? Bloody maxis, damn confusing Agreed, I should have acted faster and taken 1.0, but I was still under Hotlink 365 so I waitedAs I understand it (but I 've been wrong before haha): Hotlink 1.0 = 90 days for RM5 min or Hot Ticket topup, but no grace period (line will terminated at end of 90 days if you did not topup again before then) Hotlink 2.0 = back to normal validty period like 30 days for RM30, and 50 days grace period I think all else is the same Anyone know more, please share This post has been edited by dgboy: Sep 6 2011, 08:48 PM |

I think i remember somewhere i read FAQ in hotlink website that this version 2.0 still get 90 days with Rm5 and above top up.http://www.hotlink.com.my/web/portal/hotli..._en/Plans_SA_en and click on New Hotlink Plan [=2.0], it says nothing about validity except that initial period is 30 days so anyone would fairly assume that what is stated under FAQ (which is a separate tab from Existing Plans) > General Enquiries > Staying Active applies clearly, from Maxis answer i got today, it does not i'm a careful user who study website in deep first before committing to this plan change i used Basic Plan with Hotlink 365 before this, now I cannot use back Hotlink 365.. aarrgghh my plan now is to use up my credit and count 50 days, let them terminate my line Maxis is the loser in the end You try 1st then let us know |

Upon conversion, got 30 days straightaway (expiring tomorrow), and that date never changed.
So, when I top up RM10 the first week of the 30 days, the expiry stayed same too. On my hp, it shows New Hotlink Plan. I sent another email to Maxis. Will let you know I get their reply. I reduced my credit to zero last night, so I don't expect priority service from Maxis. |

I'm currently using Maxis Hotlink. Rarely make calls or SMS, but I do use the RM68 500MB package. I'm not interested in getting a new phone.
Is there any advantage for me to switch to postpaid? |

Cheapest plan for postpaid is value first which you have to pay RM30 commitment fees per month for calls and sms. If you would like to add on a data plan, which 500mb will cost RM58 cheaper by RM10 compared to prepaid. I see no point of you changing to postpaid as you make such less calls or SMS.Is there any advantage for me to switch to postpaid? |

This is about the New Hotlink Plan, which I found out the hard way no longer gets 90 days validity for minimum RM5 topup. I asked Maxis if they could switch me back to my previous Basic plan, which I used with Hotlink 365 the last 2 or 3 years. They just replied no today. Here is my last chance email to Maxis tonight. A company as big and profitable as Maxis should behave responsibly by posting accurate, up-to-date, clear, complete and informative content on their website so users are not misled.
Thank you for your reply. Before I make a final decision on whether to continue with Hotlink after being a loyal customer since 24 December 2005, please be so kind as to inform me what validity period the new Hotlink plan will get if I top up the following amounts? RM5 RM10 RM30 RM60 RM100 Please also advise where such information can be found on your website, which as per my original email last month suggests RM5 for 90 days. Once again, I wish to point out that the misleading information has lead me to switch to a plan that is unsuitable for my needs. I am fully aware the rules say you cannot switch back to previous plan later. That is why studied your website so carefully before making my choice. A reply via email would be much appreciated. Thank you. This post has been edited by dgboy: Sep 12 2011, 10:28 PM |

Agreed that can be effective, and SKMM do not need to do anything as the telco will act once you copy your complaint to them. Anyhow, I give Maxis one last chance. In my experience, with Maxis, it normally takes about three rounds before our complaint goes higher up and then you get a better answer. |

Too many people complains. 2) This bloody Maxis see their competitors like Celcom and Digi never come out a plan than counter this Rm5/90days plan, they(maxis) felt stupid by killing their own ARPU so the revert back the short Validity system. |

RM5/90 days was too good to be true for light users
but Maxis should have kept at least a short grace period, because users are expecting it from past experience |
