QUOTE(aspire2oo6 @ Mar 13 2011, 05:25 PM) EXAMPLE Hot ticket is like u buy RM10 for 15mins 30sms and expire 7 days its an additional service So you still have to pay for the normal validity No more nearer to understanding. What is "normal" validity? Isn't your example of RM10 for 7 days means 7 days validity already? Damn confusing.

QUOTE(eddievh @ Mar 13 2011, 07:42 PM) Normal Rm10 coupons if use it on EXTRA PLAN will get 10 days validity, if use it on HOTLINK PLAN then it will get 90 days validity period. Got it! Thanks! If I get a Hotlink Plan starter pack do I get 90 days validity immediately or do I need to "activate" or make initial top-up to activate? I'm thinking of getting one. QUOTE(zhy323 @ Apr 16 2011, 08:07 PM) New Hotlink Plan: Free RM8.00 Hot Ticket (1 physical voucher & 5 Over the Air fulfilment) giving 50min and 100 SMS to all networks within 7 days. Hotlink Youth Plan: Free RM6.00 Hot Ticket for 8 months (1 physical voucher and 7 over the air fulfilment) - 20mins / 300sms (all networks within 4 days validity) this is what i know la, otherwise u may call the CS Both get 90 day validity then? Meaning can make/receive calls 90 days from every top-up? Are there really such thing as old stock of starter packs? Don't Maxis retire the old plans? Hope you don't mind all the questions.

[WTA - problem]
I have backup phone with a Maxis Prepaid SIM which is turned off most of the time (lazy to recharge all the time). Today I booted up the phone and connected succesfully with the Maxis network. However some minutes later I see the message "Inactive SIM" If I restart the phone, it works again for a while. During the working period, I can make calls and receive calls. But after a while I get the "Inactive SIM" message again. Signal strength is full five bars.
Can anyone explain my problem?

I got one of the Maxis Prepaid package with the 3 month validity. I checked *122# and it says validity ends 5/10/2011.

Thanks dgboy. But it turns out to be a problem on my end. I removed the SIM card and slotted it back in several times and the network connection stays up now. I guess during the extended duration the phone was powered off the SIM contacts must have deteriorated. It's the same thing I've sometimes experienced with electronic contacts in my PC - slots, sockets and such. Solution - remove and re-insert.

My 90 day validity ends tomorrow but on checking *122# yesterday I see it now ends 6 January 2013 instead. What happened?
