Hey same case here. They deducted RM20 of Data charges, I am on monthly Mobile Internet plan. I tweeted them and they phoned me mentioning they will solve the problem soon.

Shinichi did you report by phoning them?

Added on August 30, 2011, 11:40 pm
I think its better for you to tweet them to seek help instead of calling. What I found out is that the phone base customer service is not that up to par, I guess they are not that capable.

Those who replied my tweets and phoned me are very good in terms of knowledge and they way they solve your problem. Tweet them again if you are not satisfied with your solution. Maxis customer service's tweeter account is "MaxisListens".

For my case, the person said he will refer it to a technical person to solve it, and definitely they will rebate the credits.
*
I reported via call and also went to service center and they logged a case for me... but till now still no news from them yet...

That is why i recommend you to use tweeter to report a problem. I have since solved many problems via tweeter already. Go ahead and tweet them tomorrow morning.

Just curious, do I need to have a tweeter account to report my problem?

Worth your time to get a twitter account. Nowadays can make complaints thru twitter and you will get quite good response from them too.

And maxis customer care line charges us! Illogical, customer care should always be free! I remember last time spending nearly RM10 just to make a complaint.  rclxub.gif

Hi all, is this the right place for me to complaint in Twitter -> MaxisListens

i doubt so because its your phone that retrieve it. On nokia phones we can turn it off. Or you can just delete your access point from your phone.
*
arghh got deducted near to rm9... so fed up... my stupid nokia classic phone do not have the option to delete APN...

QUOTE(Darkmage12 @ Nov 15 2011, 11:09 PM)
I thought you'll need a set of new mms settings?
*
My phone's mms setting is preset and so far I could not find ways to delete it, it will come back after delete...

QUOTE(dgboy @ Nov 15 2011, 11:07 PM)
set your phone to Manual Retrieve
then each time any mms notified you can choose Retrieve or Delete
there should be no charges for the notification as it's received under sms protocol
*
Thanks going to check if can set this option...

They are trying to draw money from those overseas trying to retrieve their messages... vmad.gif

I was using Maxis 3G and then I surfed this 'Maxis 3G Internet' website and it started to load fast, to about 180kb+ (data loaded). Then I stopped it before it loaded any further and check my balanced.

It ate RM3+ ???WTF doh.gif

Any of Hotlink users with data plans having random RM 1 deducted from your balance? Every now and then, I have RM 1 deducted under the category GPRS according to my e-statement and last month I had a total of RM 12 deducted.

It is very troublesome as I need to call Maxis, let them check and only reimburse back to me a few days later.
*
Yes I faced this issue... but now my free iphone data plan has ended...

yes the latest new hotlink plan it is RM10 for 10 days

after that, got 50 days before the line is terminated (losed the number)

but after 30 days, any credit remaining will be forfeited

Hotlink 365 not available

to maintain the validity, you might consider top up RM100 (for 100 days), and then "sell" the spare credit to friends under Share A Top Up

Hmm I'll port out from Hotlink once my youth club expires...

Happy Chinese New Year Everyone smile.gif

I have a question here regarding Hotlink Youth Club, let say my expiry date is 1st Sep 2013, does it mean that my number will not be usable after 1st Sep if I never topup after expiry date? Let say if I topup rm30 on 26 Aug 2013, my validity will be extended to 25 Sept, am I correct?

Does Hotlink have something like use RM30 to buy 1 year validity?

Thanks.

QUOTE(dgboy @ Feb 11 2013, 02:39 PM)
This is my understanding:

1 Upon expiry of HYC, the plan will default to New Hotlink Plan so need to start topping up again to keep active.

2 There is still 90 days grace period after expiry of HYC.

3 Under New Hotlink Plan, users can subscribe to Validity365 (formerly Hotlink 365) for RM33.

There is also an option of Validity90 which gives 90 days validity for RM8.  I've been unable to find more information about this option, except that I believe the grace period after the 90 days of validity is over may only be 30 days.

Anyone has used Validity90 or knows more about it??
*
Thanks bro for the info smile.gif
I guess probably in coming few months time we will have more detail as I think majority of HYC users plan will due this year... smile.gif
