I plan to subscribe to Maxis postpaid promotion for Samsung Galaxy Mini 2. This is my first time buying a smartphone, and I don't know if I should subscribe to the 250Mb or the 1Gb data plan. Any advise? How much data do you use?

Why the h3ll Maxis want to charge me RM25 for changing a Hotlink normal SIM card to a Hotlink micro SIM card? This is so unfair. Since I'm going to have to pay for a new micro SIM anyway, I'll shop around and see if other telcos offer better plans.

SURFMORE 75 plan states that:

1. On net call = 12sen/min
2. Off net call = 20sen/min

What is "on net call" and "off net call"?

Actually what I wanted to ask is, why on-net call is charged 12 sen, and off-net call is charged 20 sen?
When I am making a call.... how do I know whether I am making a on-net or off-net call?

OK. Just found out that "on-net" is calling to Maxis operator. "Off-net" is calling to other operator. Why so confusing. I thought "on-net" is internet call, and "off-net" is off internet call.

Want to ask, any users here using SURFMORE 75? If after reach the 5GB data quota, will Maxis bar your data, or still let you use as unlimited but throttle your speed?

I have a postpaid plan with data plan.
Today my hand itchy, and I curious, experiment typing *133# and accidentally activated 3G and MMS. So... is this going to cost me? I only want to surf the internet using my data plan and not those roaming kind of stuff. I scared of those because read it can cost thousands of dollars.
I went to Maxis Center and they say "It's OK, data plan and 3G is the same." Is this true? I will not be charged thousands of dollars?
