QUOTE(aspire2oo6 @ Feb 8 2012, 02:06 PM) First u need tell us what phone you are using 2nd which did you choose mobile Internet or broadband Internet? I'm using Huawei X5 and I choose the prepaid broadband internet, 7 days 2GB.Added on February 8, 2012, 2:56 pm QUOTE(smsbusiness2u @ Feb 8 2012, 12:19 PM) I plug my sim into the broadband modem and it can works without any config/setting at all.Problem is, i won't be able to receive call by doing this. If I'm able to connect to the net thru the phone, i can create portable hotspot using my phone n connect thru wireless from my notebook. This way, i still can receive call/etc. This post has been edited by shadow111: Feb 8 2012, 02:56 PM |

QUOTE(aspire2oo6 @ Feb 8 2012, 03:00 PM) i think you choose wrong already. if you choose broadband internet you must put it a modem. guess i'm screwed.. If you chose mobile internet then your phone can connect. I faced this same issue many years back. Added on February 8, 2012, 3:02 pm because its hassle free i dont need to find a computer for it to work. All i need is my phone i can share connection to all my devices without the need to charge or need to plug somewhere. I been doing that quite sometime plug into my ipad make it hotspot all my 3 phones including ipad can use the internet btw.. possible to convert from broadband to mobile intenet? QUOTE(dgboy @ Feb 11 2012, 01:54 PM) my opinion, you should be able to use the broadband plan in your hp alrdy try to find the setting on the usb modem, but seem like all the setting are set as default..as i see it, maxis don't care what device we use for data, they just want our money however, if the settings like apn are different between usb modem and hp, then you can view them by: 1 open the usb modem program on your computer 2 view/edit the relevant profile that works 3 enter those settings manually in your hp U Mobile have both Mobile Internet and Broadband options, and either can be used in hp i think maxis disable this function that allowed us to use the prepaid broadband on the hp coz the mobile internet rate is way much more expensive compare to the prepaid 1.. |

I m confused with the bagus plan.. based on the statement below, does that means i need to transfer rm5 every 3 days? if like this, I need to pay like RM50 for a month juz to make sure the bagus 5 is activated and balance is not forfeited?
Hotlink Bagus 5 By subscribing to Bagus 5, the subscribers are entitled to Bagus 5 rates to all domestic voice calls, video calls & SMS only, all day long. To subscribe to Bagus 5, please dial *100#> Hotlink Specials> Bagus pass Upon successful subscription, RM5 will be transferred from the main credit account to the BAGUS pass account, with a validity of 3 days. Balance checking for both the main account and the Bagus pass account can be done by dialling *122#. All unused balance of the Bagus pass account will be forfeited at the end of the validity period . Every subscription to Bagus 5 is entitled to a FREE 10MB Internet pass, which is valid for 3 days). The redemption period for the free Internet Pass is limited to 24 hours only upon the successful subscription of the Bagus 5 pass. |
