What's the frequencies of ur cards now??? So, how's the performance??? Also, how far did u try to OC ur GTX280s last time???
702.. about the same as the zotac amp version couldnt go higher
that time the voltage tuner thingy was not out yet so didnt try

bro mind to shed some of your view on 65nm vs 55nm?
basically the 55nm also has lower 3 clocks, 3vid's.. this address the higher power consumption rate..
yes nvidia also cut cost with changing the pwm buck controller from volttera to intersil.
and yes they also reduce the cooling performance of the stock fan.
but on the other hand look at the mem chips.. they are better binned, smaller and all one side of the card.
a gtx280 can be overclocked as far as a gtx285 interms of cpu clock speed only
shader and especially mem speed.. gtx285 .. is king.
i run my gtx285 100% fan speed all the time.. and its not even noisy..
my coolit pump is much nosier.
the gtx280 was much noisier..
also gtx280 hard to do a vmod but the gtx285 is easy..
ive clocked mine on profile up to 776/1720/2404..
but the heat it produce was incredible
so far stock cooling at 100% fan speed 720/1620/1390 seems to be under 79C without aircon..
so will stick to that.
3dmark06 with ht is already 29k in xp
and 3dmark06 without ht in is already 27k in vista
what else could i want kekeke
