we are talking about the same chip except that it was shrunken. If we are talking about power consumption and heat. 55nm DEFINITELY better than 65nm.

performance wise, it's debatable. but I PERSONALLY think that 55nm is NOT WORSE than 65nm when it comes to performance (but really depends on how u define performance though).

let's say we are comparing a "65nm [576/1242/999] GTX260" with a "55nm [576/1242/999]" it will give the same PERFORMANCE.

Incredibly they actually FIXED my burned 8800gtx! So i yank out the 4870 and slot in the 8800gtx and guess what: 20 f***ing fps increase in gta 4 benchmarking test! Ati is really a worthless son of a prostitute.

So do i need to totally remove the crappy ati driver to avoid conflict with my new nvidia driver? I already uninstalled the catalyst control center.

the latest driver version 182.06 support both my 8500gt & gtx 260
so, ca i just install gtx 260 without uninstall my latest nvidia driver??

since u said tat it might b my gc problems
is tat means my new gc has problem?? need to send back to seller??
or just bcoz i uninstall the old driver & unplug old gc then straight install new gtx 260 without using driver cleaner then cause this problem?

btw, my previous gc is 8500gt, run this game is barely enuf

Why isn't the GeForce GTX 295 on top you ask ? Well even with a internal Beta driver supplied by NVIDIA, the second GPU on the GTX 295 would not kick in, despite that driver being SLI ready. So the GTX 295 is reverting to 1 GPU performance only. And that's pretty much showing GeForce GTX 260 performance. Make no mistake, once an updated driver is released .. the GTX 295 will trump the charts. We'll update when that happens.
