QUOTE(metsatsu @ Mar 2 2009, 06:41 PM) lol, you are merely repeating what RegentCid has stated. If you stated that 65nm oc just as good as 55nm, then I can agree on that. but theoratically 55nm oc better than 65nm. Due to smaller die, 55nm draws less power and produce less heat, these in returns leaves a head room for more oc'ing. No doubt that it was mentioned by Fudzilla that early reference desgin of GTX 285 and GTX 260 (55nm) can oc only the same as their 65nm counterpart, but there are also alot of reported higher oc for 55nm in other forums. sish, links again. So again, a link to show and prove that 65nm is more superior than 55nm would be great. otherwise they are pretty much the same, not 65nm better 55nm. prove yourself like acecombat, no money ? sell of ya GTS295 then again, who start the OC ability discussion. regent he just mentioned flashing bios |

QUOTE(metsatsu @ Mar 2 2009, 09:17 PM) Well I just think that before anyone starts giving a controversial or contradicting statement, he/she should have a valid explanations or valid proof before causing flames in the thread. just because some guy said so, and just simply taking the words for it does not prove the statement is valid. All I want is a good solid proof with good reference to backup, this does not mean I dismissed everybody's point of view. Well, if ppl here prefer to believe that 65nm is superior than 55nm in OC'ing, rather than giving me a more valid proof (eg. comparing an apple to an apple for a start) then I can end my search for answer right here. enough said. sure, good luck in researching I don't want to get missleading by forumers, no one like it, because im planning for another gpu |

Asus is the manufacturer.
Nvidia is the one who make the chips ( gpu core ), and sell licenses to manufacturer like asus, gigabyte , evga, xfx, palit ... etc . |

QUOTE(Najmods @ Mar 13 2009, 02:21 AM) I'm buying 2nd 9600GT for SLi last week, I surveyed every single 9600GT available at LYP and I stunned by: hmmmm the 9600gt you saw without the SLI golden pin connector ? interesting...haha...1) There are no more reference PCB and cooler anymore (maybe XFX uses them but the box is sealed so they won't allow me to see them) 2) One card, Palit 9600GT costing RM340 at PC Zone doesn't come with any power connector, as small as HD46XX cards but it don't have SLi connector. This is a good contender to HD4670 In the end I buy Galaxy 9600GT as it matches closely to reference 9600GT and it uses Samsung memory. It runs great, despite different BIOS and PCB, in fact I can run Crysis maxed at 1280x1024 btw, you SLI on your AMD setup ? QUOTE(RMaliff @ Mar 14 2009, 11:36 PM) The GTX285 is an improved version of the 280. Architecturally the same, only difference is the the processor unit. The 280 had the old 65nm chip while the 285 has the new 55nm chip. This new fabrication allows for lower power consumption and allows the card to be clocked at a higher speed. =D IIRC , GTX280 using 8+6 pin pci-e power slot while GTX285 using 6+6 only |
