Not bcos of setup issue.... I've used 185 also.... 185 seems to give me lower performance than 182.... All the problems I've mentioned is based on WHQL and also Beta as well.... For 186, beta seems to be ok.... WHQL crashes.... 190 is got to be the worst.... Not recommended to try on SLi setups.... It doesn't retain ur SLi settings.... It acts as if ur system has 1 card.... When I c the release notes, the newer versions just add more support and also retains ambient occlusion which the 185 driver has.... Not much changes.... Din try single card.... I believe it's ok to use if u use single card.... Onli not with multi-GPU setups....

ya i know there's a performance drop in 185 compared to 182, worse when im using high resolution. but i like the ambient occlusion thing, especially in cod4. that's why i still use the 185.

yay1 finally for the 190 drivers the ambient occlusion is working for me! i've switched from 185 drivers to the 190 now.

This 190 Driver makes no diffrent for those using 8 series card user. 9 series and GTX200 series user can get new power management stuff also useless for me.....emm overall this 190 driver no makes any games improve ....totaly useless for me....waste my time download it only

** oh wait, found it. its under manage 3d settins tab there. btw, i just wanted the new drivers for the ambient occlusion like i said. heheh. cuz sometimes i think its an exploit in cod4

I checked in another forum, ppl commented that (yes they said so, I myself haven't try) the new 190.38 driver give a significat improvement in Resident Evil 5 demo. (But the game wasn't mentioned int he patch note...)

what the usual temp for 8800GTX?mine is 60'C idle..full load with 100% fan speed can reach 82'C..is it normal?

dang even with the whql driver 190 the flashy shadows back again in GTA4!!

is it the power management available in winxp?
is it enable gc downclock after certain time idle

btw the power management thing. i thought before this option was available the card itself already would downclock and lower the voltage by itself right? because whenever im not running any 3d intensive application my gpu core clock will be 300mhz and my memory clock will be 100mhz. this happens even before i update to the 190 driver.

The 190 drivers got some problems with certain games.... This is one of the reason why I dun wanna update my drivers anymore after reading the release notes....

hmm im using 190 driver, no problem with gta, i tried it day night rain sunny. shadows were ok.

i think sumthing to do with AA or AF in the game.

any1 tried 190 with SF4 benchmark under 2x - 8x AA.on 185 driver it crashes the benchmark unless u set AA to 8xQ or 16xQ

well it began flashing in the safe house...
