human will never be satisfied with what they have lol.....sli consume too much wattage...its better to stick to a single high end graphic card than to do that....if ur gonna on the comp for like 24/7 its gonna cost a lot laugh.gif

both cards are just about the same la.....based on real world games is more accurate than using vantage or any other benchmarking software...its amazing why radeon 4890 is using ddr5 but still almost on par with gtx 260 with ddr3 memory in terms of real world performance....either card u buy will give u great performance though but i prefer gtx 260....at least it consumes less wattage during idle

it doesnt matter does it ? since both cards performance wise is about the same eventhough physx is off or on but nvidia get the advantage being able to do physx in games like mirror edge

nono what i meant its already in full hd resolution...should be very sharp adi but certain games still got jagged edges on some 3d objects so some games must enable AA

yup i think is newer version as the seller told me.

i also just upgraded from 8800gt to galaxy gtx 260+ today...mine is with reference cooler though..my idling temp is around 57c...yours is higher probably because your room or case temperature is higher than mine....btw i am running on a 425watt dell PSU....you dont need uber PSU power to run this card smile.gif

i cant hear it during idle....even when stress testing with 3d mark vantage only can hear a bit of the fan so i can say is very silent compared to my noisy 8800gt.....i bought it for RM740 from zhen wei....my brand is galaxy biggrin.gif

u know gtx 200 series have one of the best reference cooler....if u want your card to be silent u wont be dissapointed with the stock cooling unit...my casing is on my table just next to me and i can barely here any noise coming out from it even when gaming biggrin.gif

100% sure noisy la...as long as your temp is not exceeding 85c with auto fan...no need to put it at max speed sweat.gif

u need 2 6pin power connectors to run gtx 260....minimum at least 400watt true power should be able to handle the card

the performance difference not much ler between the 4890 and 260 unless u are willing to upgrade to 4870x2 or gtx 295....i think its best to wait for the next gen 5000 series or nvidia gtx 300 series
