High time you open a report with MCMC. Want to wait and drag some more?
*
My case settled already after I lodge report on MCMC. both netflix charges and installation charges has been credit out from my bill.

For all user here, if you think you have been unfairly charged in your bill, 1st report to TM and then lodge a report on MCMC. My case took like 2-3 day to settle, if not I need to wait more than 15 days. My Netflix case I've waited for 2 month gg. After report to MCMC last Friday, today settled already with refund.

I'd be totally down if TM offers FTTR, or any provider that runs on their infrastructure.

We have Cat 5e run through the walls but couple of the jacks don't work so I had to run cables from the access point in one of the rooms.

ya if you're renting, just the mesh wifi is the most economical and just works. and when you move later, you can bring your mesh wifi with you. this is probably the most recommended.

FTTR is really for people who want something a bit more reliable and honestly more for the networking enthusiast. There are definitely benefits for it, it's just you got to weight the costs.

Most people rather save on money and just do wifi mesh over wifi backhaul and be done with it. less fuss and money required  smile.gif

wifi7 is too expensive right now. Also isn't it not yet ratified either? So wifi 6e. Then you can use the channels less people use so you won't be as impacted due to wifi congestion in your place, especially like in condo.
*
yeah. my wifi 5 linksys mesh works well at my area, it has the function to find the best channels to use for 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz... so far so good, i can get good signal between the nodes and the latency is good as well. not even need to go for wifi 6/6E or even 7 if ur current plan is only 500Mbps and below. if 1Gbps and 2Gps plan, yes good to go for at least wifi 6 tri-band mesh for maximum speed.

I texted them in Oct 2023.. Their reply.

The existing customer will entitled to a free speed upgrade, subject to network and technology infrastructure readiness in the area.

Hi xxxx. Sorry for the delay in responding. Rest assured, you're in for the speed boost, and we'll be in touch with you shortly with regards to the contract status. Keep an eye out for our updates, and stay tuned!

Beginning October 2023, the speed upgrade activity will be implemented in stages to eligible existing Unifi Home & Business customers to the new high speeds of 100Mbps, 300Mbps, 500Mbps, 800Mbps, and 1Gbps. While we are reviving up the speed for many, our Unifi Ultra 2Gbps subscribers will not enjoy the speed upgrade as they are already at the highest Unifi speed available.

Seems like they are so chicken hidden with the excuse of ONR.
So better we spoil the ONR and complaint to get free ONR replacement?

We're here begging for free upgrade for the price we've already paid

Look at our neighbour
https://www.channelnewsasia.com/singapore/b...ps-imda-4138006

Also side note, has anyone encountered their MyUnifi account showing

"Whoopsie! Looks like you have not updated your ID number to enable us to get your account details"
Account is under my mom's name, already added IC number, just haven't added passport/organization number. Which both is not needed if it was never in the database to begin with right?

Don't forget on the cap ayam router. Ignore nokia/Alcatel and huawei ONT/ONU. Those two are the best.

Hi. I recently told a TM Unifi agent/reseller that I want 300Mbps installed at my house (never subscribed to unifi/streamyx before). No appointment yet, they just asked me to fill in my details on whatsapp. BUT here's the thing, I just noticed there's a tiang Time fibre literally right behind my house (landed property) and realised that my house is under Time coverage too. Is it okay to tell them to cancel my unifi installation? Do I need to pay anything? Thanks.

Yes it's ok. Nothing to pay but you better do it fast before they arrange installation of your Unifi.
