If the message is the following...

You will receive the following message from us:
“Hi. We detected a problem with yourunifi@unifi internet
connection. Please click here to restore now i.unifi.my/fixmyunifi”

then it appears to be legit. You can read the FAQ here:

anyone else suffering from painful slow speed when browsing lesser known websites? its all good when i switched to VPN. so that ruled out my local hardward/router problem.

Yeah. Happens during specific time of the day, so I'm assuming it's Unifi either being cheap again and not buying enough bandwidth or having really crappy partners to route their traffic. Reddit videos are basically stuttering and stuck of the loading wheel. Same with X/Twitter, and often the image or video won't even load. I've complained enough times in the past that I don't bother calling support anymore, because the fools over at Unifi will just spout their scripted lines. In the end, you get a port reset that doesn't fix the problem.

All these years, and TM/Unifi is still a trash company.
