What's the current CPE for 1/2 Gbps, is it still the D-Link ONR?

Also assuming they'll give us two ONRs, can I hook the other one up wired? We have a pair of X3060Zs with the other connected via wired backhaul.

Has anyone lost their IPv6 address? None of my devices can get a IPv6 address on the network.

Came out of the dungeon to say yes, I've been noticing a slow down on certain sites.

Is it an issue to some CDN providers because in some cases, the page loads but media will take an eternity to load.

It's generally fine in the AM. Things will start to chug after 8 pm.

Did a quick check, it did slow down a bit on OSM (site i use), also dns resolving is bit slower too...

Makes you wonder something changed at backend from before to now...

It's a bit better today though.

Twitch and Shopee are fine on my end.

My IP range is 175.x.x.x.

Do IP ranges matter?

I'm in Shah Alam and my IPv4 addresses always have the 175 prefix.

Can TM's infra do FTTR? Looks like a good solution for larger homes.

I'd be totally down if TM offers FTTR, or any provider that runs on their infrastructure.

We have Cat 5e run through the walls but couple of the jacks don't work so I had to run cables from the access point in one of the rooms.

It's been week 2 for me, didn't notice any issues in the weeks prior.

Meh, I'm fine with sticking to 800 Mbps but with a price reduction. I'm not a fan of the CPE situation with the 1 Gbps and 2 Gbps plans.

Is there something wrong with European links? Even ExitLag couldn't fix high ping.

Unifi is still fucked as of 12am 21/4

EU sites all taking forever to load. Reminiscences of the stupid slowness in Feb

Bangladeshi news sites say there's a cable cut for SEA-ME-WE 5.

https://www.thedailystar.net/news/banglades...nternet-3591511

According to the article, the cut happened somewhere between Malaysia and Singapore. No wonder even ExitLag couldn't correct my higher than normal ping in the MMOs I play.

I'm tired of having to use a VPN at night because after 9-ish pm, certain sites and services slow down to a crawl.

It was fine before their free speed upgrade exercise.

Yeah it's utterly ridiculous. The actual decent VPNs don't come cheap.

Can we opt out of the 1 Gbps upgrade because I don't think it's that huge of an improvement.

Plus not a big fan on the BTU situation.

Why not just give us a 2.5 Gbps ONU? IIRC, Maxis is using a 2.5 Gbps ONU for their 1 Gbps and 2 Gbps plans on TM infrastructure.

Damn I thought fibre cables are rarely ever stolen but I guess some people are dumb enough I suppose.

If anyone needs VPN recommendations, I'm currently using Proton VPN.

I think I'll wait for the 2.5 Gbps ONR before upgrading then.

Yeah maybe TM shouldn't commit to free speed upgrades if they are lacking in bandwidth to do so.

Cable cut notwithstanding since I get slow downs on certain sites and services at night since February.

Essentially compelled me to get a VPN subscription.
