Well that make other internet temporarily slow just let 2Gbps customer happy with the speedtest 😬

be sure test the speed everyday.

on my experience, when some speed boost, just call to reset the port, then I can use 90MB/s upload for a day then it back to 50MB/s after that.
*
I always make complain the speed i subscribed is not for viewing TheStar or Lowyat website. I don't need 1Gbps to view local site.

Again the speed from 1Gbps down to 11Mbps!

Seem like a problem either the modem or their port!

Report this case with TM and try change to old modem to test the speed

I added a fan on top of the white D-Link ONR. Still survive no speed drop for 2 days. I'm using bridge mode connected to my own router with 2.5G port.

Just wanted to update my issue with the 1Gbps connection drop to below 300Mbps.

1. Reported to TM and not one came to fix the problem.
2. After reboot the router the internet connection back to normal.
3. Added a fan to cold down the router unfortunately is not related to the heat issue.

The problem is related to TM network or maybe a faulty router.

Something is wrong with TM.
The internet suddenly drop below 300Mbps from 1G package.

The technician changed the modem from white ONR to black ONR. I requested them to try a new router unfortunately still not solve my problem.

Guys, check your speedtest occasionally

Yeah mine drops to 300mbps by the end of the day. In my case though restarting the black ONR fixes it. So my "solution" is to restart the ONR every night.

I don't recall having the same issue with my white ONU but in my case I can't test it since if I switch to any other ONU/ONR I get blocked and can't get connected.

I suspect I'm on some shit OLT that has issues with 2.5gbe connections as anime4000 mentioned here there's some OLT that behaves funny. I assume this problematic OLT also requires hardware binds on the ONU side. It could also be an issue with the ONR, but until they have another 2.5gbe capable ONR we can't really test thag hypothesis.

I've changed different cables and the same happens. Didn't have any slowdowns while on 800mbps before on the same router.

Mine having same issue till now no solution from the technician. At first happened to white ONR but after I requested change to black ONR the issue not solve

You can't change the ONR unless you look Anime for GPON stick.

I wish to throw away the ONR!

QUOTE(RViN @ Jul 15 2024, 10:55 AM)
Is your ONU/ONR also binded? Meaning you cant switch to another ONU/ONR without getting TM involved?

You can use your old fiberhome modem if you still have it.

That unit can deliver 920Mbps consistently.
*
My old modem is from huawei. Since this is the new modem i let the TM scratch his head. I just keep complaining till the problem solve

Btw, i saw some said fiberhome seem better and some encounter problem

In my case now I have the black ONR and 2 ONU (one alcatel, one fiberhome). If I connect either of the two ONUs they will fail to connect.

Before this the fiberhome ONU worked but the alcatel/dlink ONR wouldn't work, until TM technician call the backend to do something.
The suspicion is this shit OLT I'm connected to requires some kind of hardware bind to the ONU.
*
I reported the case again with TM, so let them sort out the issue before i report to MCMC. Try add more weight to the issue i reported.

I am on rm189 1gbps after pro upgrade from 800mbps. No more contract. Got call from Unifi offering me same package same price but with 3 months free and 24 months contract. Was told current upgrade is not permanent in which I am not convince about her claim at all.

Anyone got similar offer?
*
The caller got scolded by me after he told me my upgrade is not permanent. He try his luck to ask me to renew my contract
