anyone with sudden netflix premium charges in your account even though never subscribe for it? got solve or not? mine kena last month bill and already reported and this month still got that netflix charges and no reversal for last month charges on netflix. live chat waiting que for billing is like no 70. bloody hell punya TM.

Guys, just want to ask, can you add on/ subscribe netflix under unifi through unifi plus box?

after waiting 2 hour for live chat, the CS mention that I have subscribe netflix since last month in which I never did since I already subscribe to Netflix on my own. Then, I've check under my entertaiment pack and walauwei suddenly got Netflix A la Carte Standard under ala-carte since 18 October 2023. I never know about it and never activate and login to it.

The thing is, is like different ID all together, how unifi manage to get that to link under my unifi billing? if you refer the picture, there is not even user id to login and just billing ID.

Yeah, I cannot do account recovery as per the picture due to the email not belong to me. TM just call me just now and said I'm the one subscribing that netflix and through UPB. WHAT THE HELL.

I open UPB and open netflix, suddenly already login to an account that I done even know exist. what make it more funny is that the email address is like ttttttttttt@gmail.com.

Even if my son open the app through UPB, how easy it is to register and activate it without even a confirmation through email and SMS to me?

Yeah, I plan to report to MCMC due to hidden subscription by unifi without customer consent since there is no email or sms to confirm the subscription and that tttttttt@gmail.com is probably not a valid email. TM already charge me 2 month of netflix fees total RM110. gila

But the thing is, I can't access the account page through netflix app in UPB so I don't know how can I terminate the account.

Ok thanks for the advise. I already called 100 to cancel but still need to wait for them to proceed. It's gonna be tough since no one know the address and whether netflix can simply terminate the account if we only know the email address.

it's not like it's valid email that you have access to.
just use your own existing netflix id in UPB to prevent your family from redo the mess again.

This should be the case since they are like one of the payment method. Just cancel the payment method only. no need to have the access to my netflix account. Just now they call me again saying that the can't cancel it since they don't have the info to my account. From here you can see on how F**k *p their activation method that anybody can simply activate it through UPB and TM simply agree to it without any confirmation sent to my email or sms to my number.

Now I'm stuck to cancel the netflix myself without any password and only the email address which is tttttttttttttttt@gmail.com. its like 16 times of t. tried same 16 t for password but it is incorrect.

I am hoping Netflix can help you reset password FIRST, so you can login to the account of that stupendous email. the ultimate goal is to replace that tttt...@gmail with something else you have control over.

(or why not you just attempt to really create tttttt...@gmail account and really have access to reset password etc of this netflix account)

Try call Netflix and see if they are able to help you gain access by password reset. You might need them to create a password on your behalf since if they send email link to reset password, you can't receive it anyway.

OR, get them to immediately change ttttt...@gmail to something else that you have access to (might need to create that email address before you call netflix).

impress Netflix on these points:
• Your UPB should be the only device ever logged in to the account
• ... ever since its creation
• ... somebody had created Netflix account without your permission
• ... on android tv device that is provided by and linked to your unifi subscription
• ... you have been charged by Unifi ever since
• ... that email address is stupendously stupid and definitely you will never have access to such email in the first place
• ... and you can prove you have immediate access to the device (by refreshing and reading them that dynamic number as many time they want)

longer term, after gaining access to this paid-by-unifi and if unifi keep refusing to remove itself as payment method;
• stop paying your pre-existing paid-by-something-else netflix account
• ... and switch that pre-existing to use another another another email
• ... swap the pre-existing email address to this paid-by-unifi netflix account

I haven't log out from UPB but I've managed to cancel the account through live chat but then again, after the cancellation, the account has been automatically log out from UPB. Based on the chat, I've already subscribe for the next cycle bill until 15 January 2024 but I no longer have access to it through UPB. CS on Live chat also cannot help me to reset the password to give me access to the account since I can't access that ttttt...@gmail.com.

It is a very costly lesson since that account has been subscribed for 3 months. RM55 x 3 month = RM165. After the account has been log out from UPB, I tried to open the netflix apps , and there it mentioned whether I want to register netflix through unifi with just a click. D*MN. TM has alter the app so that we can easily subscribe netflix with just a click on the remote control. I suspect either one of my kids tekan2 the remote and accidentally subscribe to it. What anger me is that there is no notification through email or sms that an activation through UPB has been made.

Warning to all of the user that have UPB. If you don't use netflix, just disable the apps in the UPB. make sure that the apps no longer appear in the menu/homepage.

Anyone got charge with this installation charge of RM200? bloody hell betul TM. I previously got issue with netflix that suddenly got subscribed to my unifi account since October last year. I lodged report to cancel that subscription and dont know how tiba2 got open order to modify my package on 15 December 2023. that order completed end of last month and charged me with this RM200. there is nothing different on my package at all and that netflix got cancelled by my own effort by requesting it directly to netflix.

I've asked through live chat on what is this charge is all about and she just reply standard wording that she will open report and escalate this to 2nd level bla bla bla. but the thing is, she also not sure what is the detail of this charges.

since last year, I fight with them to reverse back that netflix charges since it is subscribed without my knowledge with no confirmation received through my phone number and email but now they even charged me some more out of nowhere. bangwall.gif

Probably will complain to MCMC. they dare to charge me RM200 out of nowhere and now I need to wait 15 days for their investigation. They took almost 2 month to fix the netflix issue even after numerous follow up. So damn teruk la.

Its me and I think it is probably subscribed through UPB accidentally. But my complain is more on why there is no confirmation received when it is accidentally being subscribed. And the email used for it is non-existent one. I can't even recover the email from unifi entertainment ala-carte page. it has been solved now but the credit adjustment still havent been made by them.

My case settled already after I lodge report on MCMC. both netflix charges and installation charges has been credit out from my bill.

For all user here, if you think you have been unfairly charged in your bill, 1st report to TM and then lodge a report on MCMC. My case took like 2-3 day to settle, if not I need to wait more than 15 days. My Netflix case I've waited for 2 month gg. After report to MCMC last Friday, today settled already with refund.

Normally you will get the speed after installation done. 2gbps package should come with new router and mesh ( probably 2 mesh?) and new modem.

You should claim bill rebate from unifi if you cant manage to get the speed that you subscribe.

Normal. During 6 month of free bill, the bill will show the exact charges for the speed. For example your case, the actual bill for 100mbps is RM99 and after 6 month the bill will show gross RM99 minus discount RM20 with final amount of RM79.

If you can utilized that 800mbps then better stay. If 500mbps is enough, better take that SWU4.0. you can save a LOTT. You can save about RM1,554 during 2 years of contract. postpaid normally no contract, can terminate after 2 week or 1 month of usage.

My contract will end this October 2025. Current plan is Unifi Home 500Mbps - Pro Upgrade for RM149 since it is bundled together with unifi TV. Anyone manage to get to SWU 5.0 before their contract ended? plan to get that SWU 5.0 500mbps RM139/month.

RM119 for 500mbps is already the best. What more do you want? currently SWU 5.0 is RM139 for 500mbps but get disney basic for 12 months.
