QUOTE(kons @ Dec 10 2023, 09:56 PM) unifi member now got tier level... I think the level depend on how much you spend. For example you subs Unifi 2gbps plus unifi mobile etc etc maybe that will get you to higher tier. Think of it just like Grabb tiergold tier, platinum and diamond? been using unifi since 2006.... and they only give me the gold tier... |

QUOTE(PJusa @ Dec 20 2023, 11:50 AM) Guys i am on unifi 300Mbps Basic - staywithunifi with free speed upgrade to 500Mbps @ 129 Choose SWU 4.0 300mbps for rm119. At least can save rm10 monthly. But if you insist 500mbps, then SWU4.0 rm139 is not that bad anyway because original price is rm159.Went to Uptown TM Point to change to SWU3.0 but they tell me already passed now got SWU 4.0 and my plan is already 139 now. Is there a good new package i could switch to? |

QUOTE(msrazi @ Dec 28 2023, 11:59 AM) I will terminate current plan if it no more under contract & register SWU4.0 broadband only. Broadband only just for new registration. That what I'll do. Still need to go to Tmpoint to change plan to SWU 4.0. If you terminate that's the end of it. No SWU for new registrationIf it just to upgrade, I'll do it by myunifi app, no need tmpoint. Fyi guys.. why waste ur time. ![]() |

QUOTE(gaman @ Dec 29 2023, 09:01 AM) So you managed to switch to SWU 4.0? I thought SWU 4.0 is just a speculation after the SWU 3.0 promotion over. Yes, but make sure you go to a proper Tmpoint and not those authorise deeler.I would like switch my current out of contract 30Mbps to 100 Mbps for RM 79. How do you did it? Just walk in into any TM Point and request? |

QUOTE(failed.hashcheck @ Jan 5 2024, 02:23 PM) The problem with unifi user base is the are normalized with this kind of service. Other hsbb isp like maxis or celcom have their own set of problems such as slower on sight technical support and speed capped below subscribed speed by TM.thanks to the unjust contract and those low iq 'borrowed fiber' misinformation, most of them never get to try the taste other hsbb isp like maxis or celcom and experience what a quality network supposed to be like. at this point they could just upgrade everyone with 300mb+ packages to 1gbps for free, and they wont lose a single cent when their international gateway is already congested/capped and they have no plan to do anything about it. The only thing that matter to them is users see the speedtest to nearest local server showing full gauge matching their advertised package, and thinks everything is working fine. Exactly as planned. |

QUOTE(failed.hashcheck @ Jan 5 2024, 04:18 PM) Cant say about maxis since I dont use it, but I subscribed both celcom at home, alongside unifi at office. I definitely agree that there is zero appreciation for old customers. I was on Digi fibre (switch from Unifi). When Unifi get free speed upgrade and Celcomdigi get price reduction, I called in to enquire and was told there will be no price reduction for old Digi fibre plan. I would have to upgrade to the new Celcomdigi plan and recontract for 2 years. I agree on TAT when cable breaks, around 5 days at minimum. fully rebated however. The rest of support is day and night difference. So far my experience on unifi, any support call (100) must wait long queue, then transfer this and that person for other specific issue then wait again. Try to call during peak time? forget it. technical issue dept after work hour? public holiday? you gotta be kidding me. If the issue is bit more technical 100% they will go "sorry sorry please email to help@tm" for further assistance. Not to mention what being said at tmpoint and 100 often contradicts each other. Celcom calls picked up almost immediately, single person for many type of issues, and it is statefully tracked for every call. I don't have to explain about my previous call. When I got into some routing issue last time (some weird connectivity issue with HE upstream), the engineer himself personally contact me to test together. The biggest issue I have with celcom post merger is with their bean counters at their hq doing absolutely nothing about customer retention and loyalty. absolute zero appreciation for old customers. So far all people I know that using celom/maxis/astro/digi get advertised speed, +-5% extra. All have uncapped 1gbps port. They did in place package upgrade without involving tm people at all, and get full new speed within 24hrs. I don't even know where is this speed cap misinfo coming from As for speed cap, it is really happening, just that some users are lucky. Back when I was on Unifi 100mbps, I get consistently 5% more of the subscribed speed, sometimes even reaching 110mbps. When I switch to Digi fibre in 2021, max speed is capped exactly 100mbps which I am definitely fine with. I even do a comparison during the interim period with both ISP running (Unifi on lan 1 and Digi on lan 2), Unifi getting consistently above 100mbps. End of November 2023, I switch to Maxis fibre 100mbps. Speed is capped at 93 - 95mbps. I have no motivation to go for 300mbps plan as evidence from those with speed cap, they could only get around 270mbps. I called up Maxis to report, tech came and cannot do anything because apparently it is over 80% of the subscribed speed. I am 1000% sure if 2 years down the road I again decide to switch to Unifi, speed capping will be lifted. QUOTE(PRSXFENG @ Jan 5 2024, 06:19 PM) I think it's real that there was a intentional speed cap, just that they stopped doing it in the recent years, so new sign ups get expected speeds Even in Fb, there are ppl who only get around 270 for 300mbps and 460 for 500mbps, tested on lan. Speed cap is real, whether or not one are impacted depends on luck.Disclaimer: Based on personal observations and guessing You can find many old posts of Maxis Fiber 30Mbps plans only getting a consistent 28Mbps despite using LAN cable and everything A relative of mine is still on 30Mbps Maxis and it never exceeds 28Mbps I'm sure there's others here that also have similar experience PRSXFENG liked this post

QUOTE(blibala @ Jan 5 2024, 10:10 PM) Yes, call them to ask for public IP. May need to show proof that you are using something which requires public IP. QUOTE(A1700 @ Jan 5 2024, 10:52 PM) I also visited tm point on last night and straight away asked them is there 100M promotion with RM79? But all told me that the 100M monthly price is RM89 not RM79, just curious how can I sign up for RM79 100M deal? Any idea?? Just straight away tell them you want to change plan to SWU 4.0 100mbps. This SWU plan is not available in their app, only can do at Tmpoint and for existing users only. |

QUOTE(go626201 @ Jan 8 2024, 03:49 PM) You need to change your router and device to newer one that can support more than 1Gbps. Definitely, but I believe those who subs this plan usually won't use/won't have much older devices that cannot utilise the high speed connection. 2.5G WAN/LAN Port router + PC / Wifi6 Supported Device. 2.5G BTU/ONR <2.5G> Router/+Switch <2.5G>PC Or 2.5G BTU/ONR <2.5G> Wifi 6 Router <More Than 1G>Wireless Device Otherwise if still using 1G port router The max throughput speed will still be 940+-mbps QUOTE(soonwai @ Jan 8 2024, 05:55 PM) Unfortunately not. Current 1+1Gbps ONR is still 1Gbps ports. If running bridge mode on one ethernet port, it transforms into 1Gbps ONU so no difference from our old Alcatel/Huawei/Nokia modems. or use custom ONU instead.Only hope is if TM give us ONU/ONR with 2.5Gbps port. |

QUOTE(Omochao @ Jan 8 2024, 10:16 PM) since they are going to bump 800mbps users to 1Gbps Not too fast though. The MSAP need to be agreeable by telcos in 2026, similar to what happen last year.is safe to assume that current 500mbps users also will see x2 speed in maybe the next 1 or 2 years ???haha...another round of upgrade current routers/mesh ...oh man |

QUOTE(darachan @ Jan 10 2024, 03:46 PM) 100mbps for rm89 now. If you fall under the category of Household with B40 income, Warga Emas, OKU, and Veteran of Army, Police & APMM Officers, there is 30mbps plan perpaduan for rm69. Take note the rm69 is only for the first 2 years, after that will revert to rm89.This post has been edited by YoungMan: Jan 10 2024, 04:08 PM |

QUOTE(lyc1982 @ Jan 25 2024, 11:29 AM) sifus sekalian… Cannot remove the HyppTV. Even if you remove, TM will adjust back the price so that you still pay same amount. You either keep the plan or change to SWU plan.anyone here with previous Turbo upgrade with plan that includes the useless HyppTV ? i would like to check if anyone with the above plan managed to remove the useless HyppTV or UnifiTV from the plan, then can remove the rm30 from monthly bill… |

QUOTE(failed.hashcheck @ Jan 31 2024, 06:45 PM) Evaluate your usage first. This is true, bet how many will eventually benefit from free speed upgrade 500mbps and above. If still want maintain Unifi even the SWU plan 300mbps is more than enough. If your usage pattern not involve making lots of connection to lots of place like torrent or having many family members at home, eg: only downloading from single source from oversea server, Maxis 300mbps has better value. Tm 500mb above is not even that good. In many destinations your single oversea destination wont even reach 200mbps so whats the point? Good for local speedtest showoff, bad for real use. |
