Sounds bad... How about calls? Got drop call or silent call problem during those time? How bad is the slow speed?

Digi also very bad indoor coverage, in my house I get only 4-5mbps speed but biggest problem is silent calls. Happened very often lately and it's driving me nuts >.<

There's no speed restriction explicitly set. The only factor that affect your speed is signal quality, type of handset use and tower congestion. By the way, both 3G and 4G speed is slightly lower than average but not too bad.

My umi30 3g is 0.05 n 15mb for 4g at s.buloh

I guess mine considered not bad for 3G ...note3

I would like to seek for help/advise on my U mobile Prepaid Plan.

1. On 2nd Apr 2017, I travel from Malaysia back to Singapore and my prepaid plan became totally no coverage instead of switch into roaming mode.
2. My account is active and I still have plenty credit balance in it.
3. on 22nd Apr 2017, I felt frustrated and I plan to visit umobile store to replace the sim card (I thought was sim card faulty), but right on the time I reached JB custom, the Sim card and coverage became back online and usable. On the same day when I travelled back to Singapore, It did switch to roaming status.
4. Currently, 23rd Apr 2017, the sim card status became No Line and services at all again.

Does anyone facing the similar problem or it's just me.

roaming on prepaid is enabled by default.

was your phone in 2g? singapore switched off 2g completely on april 18.

be careful when using your sim when overseas. you might lose your credit balance due to data roaming.

Try setting your hp to 3G only, and if you're using dual sim phone make sure your UM sim is on the primary slot. You can also try doing manual network search and choosing Starhub. Data roaming costs RM10/day if not mistaken.

How come umobile when switch to maxis 2g... cannot auto switch back to umobile 3g or 4g... hate the super slow 2g edge speed... maxis signal too strong

Digi problem with the silent calls totally can't solve with or without VOLTE. In fact even switch to 3G only also same... Have to wait until Digi improve the coverage. But depends on area, your house might have better indoor coverage than mine

Bro, u should see how the Singaporeans complain and their attitude problem. It was in the news recently that worldwide the people that are hardest to serve and will complain the most are Singaporeans. Next up are probably Malaysians who work in Singapore lol

Was tired of Maxis crap 2 years back after being a loyal customer for so many years but no reward, no appreciation at all!!

Make a call or buy an MB pass or etc..

Maxis also don't give a đamn even you port out coz Maxis only want New waterfish to enhance their ROI.

Pissing off non premium subscriber is OK for them as Maxis have this mentality.. " you Tak Suka, you keluar"

If not why Maxis until now have Selamba promotion.. Doesn't seem want to compete with other Telco to get in more customers.
Maxis rather have quality over quantity.

offtopic, Maxis "You tak suka, you keluar" was hit or miss, i remember last year, a lot high arpu customer just ship, bleeding them

My phone supports LTE and I didn't enable data roaming when oversea. Just let it remain under Starhub roaming coverage to receive OTP for bank transaction.

I wonder is it my sim card's problem because i have this sim card probably since 2012. Previously the LTE services for my sim card, I follow umobile instruction by SMS to activate but didnt physically change the sim card.

But I can't solve the problem as:

1) my phone can only switch among
i) 2G /3G/4G (automatic) - (which i choose this)
ii) 2G / 3G
iii) 2G

2) I tried to swap the U mobile sim card to primary slot but it doesn't respond as well.

3) I tried to search network manually but end up it shows no network

4) is it necessary to enable Data roaming to have the normal roaming services to receive incoming sms from malaysia?

You don't need data roaming enabled for call and sms only, and better don't enable it if you don't plan to use data.

Which phone model you are using?

Any idea how they track apponz usage?

If i tether and use facebook on desktop, is it counted?

I'm using One Plus 2 and throughout these years it was working well until recently early of Apr 2017.

If you are using two sims in it, you need to make sure the UM sim is selected for data service, even you don't plan to use data roaming. Otherwise, it will get assigned to 2G radio and definitely won't work as mentioned by kit2.

Unfortunately, I encountered some situation also:

1) by switching mobile data to Umobile instead of Singapore sim card and enable data roaming features.
2) the signal bar manage to appear again with R icon.
3) in this situation, does it mean I can't use my Singapore sim card data plan?
4) But the most disappointing is , with full bar of signal, typing *118# to try to check and it show "Connection problem or invalid MMI code"
5) I try to make IDD call from SG into this number but unable to reach (not even into voice mail)

You won't be able to use both sim at the same time in Singapore. You need to choose one sim and make sure that's primary. Nearly all dual sim phone, the second sim gets 2G only, which is no longer available in Singapore.

Long term, you need a second phone with at least 3G capability.

And for *118# problem, you can try roaming on a different Singapore network.

the maximum speed of u mobile 4g in my area only 34 mbps, i have terminate the streamyx that been use more the 10 yrs and use umobile data as hotspot

No contract. You can upgrade downgrade anytime you like. However, YMMV if using your mobile data as hotspot/tether. Speed varies depending on location/time.
