Whatever happened to Umobile quality of service in the past few months. Consistently, each day after 11pm or so, the internet will start to slow down. Can't go into any apps like Twitter or browse through Chrome.

The usage experience on the daytime is also being mixed bag nowadays. The line is not as fast as it used to be. Even with LTE, things take time to load.

Feels disappointing given that Umobile been good all the while before and only now it's acting up which by right they should've improved coverage and quality of service.

Maybe need to source other line, even thigh none can give data bucket like Umobile.

Totally agree!  Everything was near perfect last year but drop to hell starting January this year

In the end of the day, coverage to connect when needed is what people need the most. Hopefully they can improve sooner than later. If not, people will leave for other telcos (like what happened to Maxis).

Just ported out to Celcom due to unstable speed with Umobile's data. Even with full signal LTE, the line will suck.

And for some reasons unknown, I can't use VoLTE on my iPhone even though it is all activated. I've monitored it and everytime it will switch to 3G during call and revert upon disconnecting.

But, once it stabilizes, for sure I will be back to BIG data bucket of Umobile 😂😂😂

VoLTE works fine on my iphone though. Did you enable VoLTE in the first place? And you need to be within coverage to utilize VoLTE.

I did enable VoLTE. I work near KLCC so that's definitely VoLTE coverage area I guess. Well, now it's not a matter anymore. Haha.

Plan to port into UMobile , current using Telco C

But I heard that the coverage is not really good?

How is everyone here feedback?

Anyway im from Sarawak...

Coverage depends on your area & users there. If a lot of users access the line on the same time, then do expect congestion & line becoming slow when surfing Internet.

I just ported out from Um to C.

Now at Pearl Point mall.

Not sure whether this is city centre. Dark dark outside so no idea. As usual I'm a passenger.

D: Down 17Mbps, Up 8Mbps
UM: Down 24Mbps, Up 17Mbps

Been getting mixed results. Different places different coverage and speed. But overall my verdict is KL always close to full bar.

I've been testing using mobile legends as a benchmark. Seems my game is smooth so ok la. Luckily not feeder although I switch between mobile data and MOBIFI. And lucky can win still.

Perhaps you can try at night & see if the speed remains for UM. For me, since early of the year, once 8pm onwards, the line will crawl.

Lemme summarise my location.

a) Shopping malls - some users mentioned inside building so i tried.

b) KTM and KLIA Express - some users mentioned moving train, so i tried

c) KLIA Express underground and shopping malls basement parking - some users mentioned underground so I tried.

d) some residential areas at my gf condo at damansara perdana and Bukit OUG - some users mentioned residential (including you) so i tried.

e) KTM ETS from Butterworth, Penang, upto KL Sentral.

My results, UM is kinda good at many of those areas. Not bad if you ask me.

Thus for you to say i tested only at malls/lrt/train stations isn't very accurate. This is because i have 2 residential results plus underground plus moving train that goes through jungle (all greens so i think so).

I have not experience any congestion issues like some users mentioned. But coverage, I do agree some places umobile coverage is bad that it enters 2G.

But most of the time, places where normal humans will go at normal hours, the coverage is ok and congestion isn't quite the issue.

To users who experience fluctuation in your line, why not set your phone to LTE/WCDMA for better stability?

Anyway, I agree my test location is too small. There are more areas to test, especially when KL is so big. Wait till i go down next round to find my womAn again, then i'll try setapak and hulu langat too. My bro recommend fish farm restaurant at hulu langat.

From my experience, the congestion issue happens due to location and the locale. Eg. In Ampang, there are lots of low cost flats and housing nearby hence the congestion is quite bad IMO because Umobile is cheap with plenty of data. If you're in a upscale area for eg., then the congestion problem might not hit you due to spread of telco usage & telcos favouring to better equip those area.

Again, this is my 2cents.

So much for their new app. Half baked product that looks good but fails to deliver.
