Try setting your hp to 3G only, and if you're using dual sim phone make sure your UM sim is on the primary slot. You can also try doing manual network search and choosing Starhub. Data roaming costs RM10/day if not mistaken.

You don't need data roaming enabled for call and sms only, and better don't enable it if you don't plan to use data.

Which phone model you are using?

If you are using two sims in it, you need to make sure the UM sim is selected for data service, even you don't plan to use data roaming. Otherwise, it will get assigned to 2G radio and definitely won't work as mentioned by kit2.

You won't be able to use both sim at the same time in Singapore. You need to choose one sim and make sure that's primary. Nearly all dual sim phone, the second sim gets 2G only, which is no longer available in Singapore.

Long term, you need a second phone with at least 3G capability.

And for *118# problem, you can try roaming on a different Singapore network.

There's no way to check balance except call CS. Anyway, if you make call, you'll see your regular balance does not go down.

Yeah, I don't think we can force renewal of UMI while in passive state.. regardless, it won't reset the passive period.. so need top up within those remaining 10 days to avoid line termination.

Yes, you can switch for RM3, validity will be reset to 10 days and any existing freebies and subscriptions will be forfeited. You will need to top up min RM10 after switching to qualify for the free fast 1GB each month.

It will activate with Unlimited, but you can always switch plan to Power after activation if you want.

You can continue using the UMI data while passive, though you cannot make calls or send sms. You need to top up within 60 days of your credit expiry date.

Just spend some credit, the creditshare balance will be deducted first. In UM app, need to tap on the wallet icon next to main balance.
