Please read (answers to your FAQ)
1) YOLO Cash Back and Spending is based on Calendar Month. The spending is based on transaction date not posting date. So you can swipe on 31st of Jan and it may be posted on 1st Feb or 2nd Feb BUT it will still be for the January quota. Confirmed on 20.04.2017 by ronnie.
2) Your YOLO Cash Back will only be credited at the end of next month. Example: For transactions in February, Cash Back will be received around end of March. (We don’t know which date exactly as it depends on UOB but after 20th).
3) If you spend below RM500 for YOLO, you won’t get any cash back. To maximize cash back percentage for online spend only, spend RM833.30, and you will effectively earn 6% cash back.
4) Is xxx eligible for online 6%? Unless reported otherwise (see list in post #1), you should really read the T&C of YOLO Cash Back. They do have a list of items that will not be awarded with cash back. Other than that list, logically, it should be entitled for 6% rebate if it’s online transaction. We don’t work for UOB. We don't know for sure. This card only came about in August 2016.

So far there is no report on this yet, considering the loan repayment only started in feb. YOLO does not award cash back for government transactions. Not sure if PTPTN is considered as government transaction.

I've tried both the SS2 and Damansara Jaya one. Both able to deduct $martcash, if the value you pump is more than the $martcash they will auto deduct it.

hi guys.. just wondering how does the payment for TNB and Unifi through shoppee works... so we click buy in shopee app... key in credit card details....then give them our TNB and Unifi account details.. they pay our bills... then shoppee release the money to them .. am I right ? So then for cashback purposes.. the transaction date is the day where we click 'buy' in shopee or the date where the money is released to the vendor ?

QUOTE(j1122 @ Mar 21 2017, 11:00 PM)
hi all, just wondering the cash advance for UOB one is it something like flexi payment which is like installment every month? Keep getting the sms from UOB about this and it says fee waived. T&C was blur in their website....

QUOTE(Devil4life @ Mar 27 2017, 11:52 AM)
Anyone else receive this msg? I replied and they acknowledged receive and mention will contact me soon.

Hopefully is 0% admin charges and knowing UOB BT is can pay minimum for first 5 months and pay remaining for the last month.
*
I just hantam reply to the sms..But no one from UOB called since like 2 weeks back.
Today a sales person called me to offer a 3.9% bal transfer confused.gif shocking.gif
So I went--- huh? I thought it is 0%?? Seems she's not calling with regards to my sms reply earlier.

Anyway she told me if I received the sms, the 0% transfer will be available..claimed it's only available for those who receive the sms.
She said YES no fees, tax etc and 0% for 6 months. NO need to show any CC statement either. They will extend any amount we apply for subject to % of the credit limit assigned to the card.

With a 6 figure free money, I can place it in some interest bearing deposits. Now I am tempted if I should do some work and get me a real nice dinner. rolleyes.gif

I just can't find any TnC on this scheme. Just want to make sure it's really 0 cost. Anyone done this or have the link to the TnC?

Insurance is excluded under the T&C of yolo. I have tried on 2 different insurance companies and the result is negative.

You are welcome to try and let us know the result biggrin.gif

Just to update but it has been reported earlier

My transaction for Syabas and TNB via UOBpayonline is not eligible for 6% CB.
Total of RM64.15 which cost me around RM3.82 CB.

Since M2C is back, mot probably will stop using this card already.

hi guys.. just wondering how does the payment for TNB and Unifi through shoppee works... so we click buy in shopee app... key in credit card details....then give them our TNB and Unifi account details.. they pay our bills... then shoppee release the money to them .. am I right ? So then for cashback purposes.. the transaction date is the day where we click 'buy' in shopee or the date where the money is released to the vendor ?
*
the day u buy (key in the TAC) is the transaction date

I used my UOB card for an online purchase on the MAS website at 12.30 am hoping to be amongst the first on Monday. However, the transaction date was posted as Sunday!! cry.gif

Looks like MAS might have a card gateway in a different time zone rclxub.gif

Does the UOB YOLO Rebate month based on Transaction Date or Posting Date ?
Eg. if I swipe RM800 on 29 March 2017, but posted on 1 April 2017....

Do I get rebate under March 2017 or April 2017 quota ?

According to the clause
QUOTE
4. Subject  to  Clause  12,
Cash  Back  will  be  awarded  for  Online Spend and  Dining Spend for each calendar  month  subject  to  a  minimum  Qualifying  Spend  of  RM500  charged  to  the Card based  on transaction date and captured by UOBM’s systemfor that respective calendar month.

5. Subject  to  Clause  11,  the  minimum  Qualifying  Spend  is  inclusive  of  the  collective  spend  of  both
principal  and  supplementary  Cardmember charged  to  the  Card  based  on  transaction  date  and
captured by UOBM’s system for the respective calendar month. For the avoidance of doubt,
only the Principal Cardmember is entitled to the Cash Back.

Quick query - since ure kinda the sifu haha -

I made Maxis Fibre via UOB PayOnline and it works thus far. Any idea if I use Maxis Pay? Or anyone feedback using that portal before?

Wanna know if it counts as online for the ongoing CB Promotion. Or does UOB Payonline automatically activate the 'online' tag, and they later filter out the utilities?

The marketing girl called me. Checked it's 0% coz I even asked her if I BT RM6000, RM1000 is what I need to pay every month, she said yes.

But be careful on one thing, I also checked with her which card it would be tied to as I would cancel my Visa Infinite within a week. Reason being I do not want to pay that huge amount of annual fee. She said it's tied to VI. Then I asked her whether can tie to other cards or not (YOLO etc) otherwise I will not do BT. She hesitated a bit but upon checking it's possible.

If I did not ask and proceed with BT, it would have been tied to my Visa Infinite and I might be forced to early settle my BT or pay the annual fee.

if we fully spend 800 in a month for rebate... those extra spending will not get anything reward/point right?

Update : Receive a call from UOB offering 0% BT, so I maximize all my CL to transfer to Maybank CC. Only need pay minimum each month (except the last month, DUH!), no processing charges and no early settlement charges.

Now my question is will it affect my CCRIS record? I will pay promptly of course. And will it affect my future application of CC as I'm aiming for PB Visa Signature which my salary just only meet the requirement? My UOB card before this only use around RM1XX-5XX each month, now would eat up 80% of the CL.

Sorry slightly out of topic.

Yes, if we are talking about online spend. So ya, 833.3. Then, there's no additional reward.

If you swiped in feb, rebate for march is in, reported last week. You can check under your unbilled transaction (of course provided you are entitled for rebate).

Anyway, what i did was i called in CS, and they sent me a new card, no questions asked. This will cover for some of the bills payable under amex. just be careful on the tnb/tm via uob payonline.

YOLO is digging its own grave, without payment tru UOB PAYONLINE, it is very difficult to spend over RM800/month to eligible for 6% cashback.

If spend lesser than RM800, this card is almost useless.

I noticed that UOB PIB is discontinuing a lot of payees in bill payment; in fact I think could be the whole bill payment.

What are they trying to do? Popularizing UOB Payonline?

But JOMpay is not their feature/system.
It's external 3rd party.
Almost every bank internet banking has it too!

First year is free, so it will be charged in second year.
Not sure for YOLO AF waiver because nobody has reached 1st year yet.

TQ for reminding me. I could also use my PBB V Signature . I was just wondering if it works for YOLO . Need to juggle my card usage a bit to optimise position biggrin.gif

QUOTE(CalvinCLK @ Mar 30 2017, 06:44 AM)

*
Thanks for highlighting this.
I've returned the VI when they first issued to me although I only applied for the ONE card.
Will ask them to park the BT to ONE instead of YOLO.
I don't remember paying annual fees for my ONE card.

You're welcomed. Just sharing what I thought, and must be careful coz some banks roll out BT to lock in customer. I parked mine with YOLO in the end as my YOLO annual fee only due in Nov. I got 2-year waiver for One card when I signed up last year. Probably yours too.

Advisable. Banks may call you if they suspect it's fraud case and may incur higher costs due to roaming.

Hi All,

Just checked my last months bill, and am pretty sure I got cash back using payonline to pay TNB bills. No cb for telekoms however. Is anyone else getting TNB cb ?

Oh, also noticed something strange on the bill, the cb was credited to my other UOB card and marked as PAYMENT. Payment received amount is different from amount I paid.. Very weird.

1. Yes, no mobile app.
2. Just GIRO from any savings account. Only RM 0.11. Bank account is your credit card no. and payment type is credit card payment.

Err.. TNB via UOBPayOnline no longer entitled for cash back since Feb cash back. If Streamyx or UniFi just use TM Portal or OCC UniFi.
If you are very sure with your TNB cash back then share your transactions here and for the rest to derive for you. biggrin.gif

on the bold part, if u have multiple cards, uob will auto combined it for u...
for example, i got One card and Yolo card, i only need to make payment to either one card, then uob will auto mark it as payment for both card...
u can request to separate it...but when making payment, u need to fork out extra 0.11cent...

Did you meet the qualifying spending requirement?

Perhaps you have post your March transactions for our in-house YOLO Sifus to go through and advise you or you can call the CS And check with them... icon_rolleyes.gif

I just paid using TNB website itself. If payment through unifi TM website counts as online payment I don't see why this shouldn't. It's better than shopee in that I know it is paying towards my electric account (you can just register online). Some shopee seller gives discount for TNB credit purchase but shopee website won't transact the deal after keying like ten times the same card details etc.. Finally gave up and upon examining my TNB bill, it does say one can pay via its webpage!!
Hope this helps.

Transaction date but we had few dispute cases with transactions on last few days of the month. If possible try to avoid performing transactions during that period. smile.gif

Through MyTNB website? If based on first post. it is reported as no cashback.

My latest UOB credit card statement does not register any cashback for YOLO card. Anyone getting cashback for YOLO in their latest March statement?

Feb cash back was just in around 20s of March.

If you are very sure with your TNB cash back then share your transactions here and for the rest to derive for you. biggrin.gif

Check your unbilled transactions for Feb cash back, it should be posted around 20s of March.

A closer look shows that I haven't been spending much online transactions (since TM bill through UOBpayonline no longer counts) despite having spent Rm1700 for the month of February. Strange, I thought I planned it so well with the DBKL assessments such that I paid DBKL on 1 March (and get penalty of Rm8 for being one day late instead of paying in Feb) thinking that's the way to maximise my cashback... cry.gif

MBB Amex is 6.25% equivalent in CB > YOLO 6%
Plus there is no minimum spending for Amex

But uob have the cashback promo now, up to rm 300. Quite tempting but allocation is too little (50x rm300 prize and 200 x rm50 prize)

I can allocate retail transactions > rm1500 on monday morning but i feel making into first 50 will be very very hard.

not only yours, sometimes my mbb ikhwan also got rejected for no reason,
insert first time reject, then insert again, reject again, insert 3rd time, reject also, then cannot use it to pump petrol anymore cause mbb restrict ikhwan to 3x petrol transactions daily...

called customer service, they also duno what's wrong in the first place, they only see in the system showing 3x petrol transactions hence cannot use it anymore...

If it is online transaction, need to be mindful of the time zone of the online merchant, i.e. If swipe on Monday morning, the merchant could be on Sunday pm timezone....

Nobody paid in Feb, hence nobody reported in March.
I think we have people tried in March, so the earliest to know will be around 20s of this month.

I'm not sure if "EC" is considered as online transactions but my UniFi payments via OCC UniFi have "EC" and I get cash back.

Still long way to know the outcome.
The contest will only end in June 4th.
Then the waiting period kicks in:

The list only came about few months back, compiled with the help of the feedback received here.

Online retail of any form, with the exception of insurance or bill payment or other excluded categories, can safely be assumed to have cash back.

correct, EC denotes E-Commerce, originally for online merchants which doesnt have brick & mortar shops or to segregate online sales vs retail sales.

nowadays, it's loosely known as online transaction.

for uob and pbb, "online" category is loosely based on online transactions with CNP (card-not-present). however, CIMB CR is more stricter, it must detect the online is also adhere to POSMODE 81 transaction type.

that's why the "range/coverage" of online transactions by CIMB CR is limited cuz some merchants didnt configure it properly.

Hi there, where is the cashback reflected? I bought a Malaysian Airlines ticket on their website last month using the Yolo card but I can't find the cashback anywhere. Don't have a current or savings account with them, just the YOLO card. Anyone know the answer? Thank you very much

Just a random question,

I've tried for the 1.5k - for the rm300 promo on mon morning - but funny thing is this - I did thru Unifi, when asked for the OTP, it showed 10/4/17 on the date.

Now, when going Maxis Pay, it showed 9/4/17 on the OTP date when it was clearly past midnight. Even Maxis Pay notified receipt on 10/4/17 moments later.

So technically the swipe cleared on 10/4, but does the OTP screen date determine it as previous week? The confusing part was that the same OTP screen under TM was correctly dated, but Maxis still lagging a day. Takut tak layak then I cry liao...

Sad lo - nothing appear until now. I think there might have been an error flag or something in their system.

Online transactions always seem to clear within a day. Still no status, but merchants acknowledge receipt already. I've a feeling im gonna get disqualified for since glitched stuff most likely won't be captured. cry.gif

the SMS OTP date/time is irrelevant, it just indicate a request is triggered by you.

for cb, the actual transaction date/time recorded in the system is the one to take note.

maxispay takes +2 days to be posted. you did on 10/4, it will get posted on 12/4, so tomorrow in UOB PIB you would see the maxispay transaction.

for unifi, depends on where you made the payment. usually +1 day after. if via uobpayonline, sometimes +2 days later.

if too kancheong, just call CS la. they can tell you exactly the transaction date/time for your unifi and maxispay.

just a call away to have peaceful days ahead laugh.gif

next time, try not to do it TOO early or too exact at 12:00:00am brows.gif your system time may not be same as bank's system time or merchant's system time.

even if everything resides locally in malaysia, there could be few minutes off across all parties (you vs merchant/payment gateway vs bank).

i always call bank directly to query the date, time, or MCC if i have doubt. they are checking directly from the system, so it's accurate.

Just ignore and don't subscribe. I have never subscribed anything like that though I have received tonnes of such calls before.
Waste money to subscribe it. Like you said since yours is full settlement and if credit cards go missing, just call banks to suspend and send a new one.

I did subscribed to credit shield (other bank though)
I understood that if the card holder suddenly pass away, the outstanding balance will be settled by the insurance.

So good for someone with balances, or with huge spending every month.
Perhaps you can ask more details to see if you need it.
The plan i subscribed, do not need to pay anything if outstanding is 0. Only pay certain % on top of unpaid balance. I canceled the card now, though.

I remember this kind of plan have the catch that you need to maintain outstanding of 0 in order to not paying the premium.
So it lost the purpose of using creditcard if you need to keep 0 outstanding

The purpose of these insurance is still of course, to benefit the bank 1st and foremost. To be not charged with premium, one cannot spend the card.

And one should not forget that, if touch wood say one has RM1,000 balance unpaid when that person passed away, then actually the bank may not go after you. smile.gif Do keep in mind the bank do write-off debt.

Also, these whatever shield, is expensive and actually only make it worse for a person who has high outstanding balances. The premium is charged to the credit card which increases the outstanding amount, hence increases the interest rate charged and the snowball effect begins.

Activation means to enable you to use the physical card.
Your credit card account is already 'active' regardless whether you activate your physical card or not.
If you do not want to pay AF, either cancel the credit card account now or cancel it before it hit its anniversary.

Guys, I have UOB One card and also an Infinite. While UOB One is still a good card due to the cashback.... should I continue with Infinite though?

The only good thing I can use for Infinite is the Premier Lounge visits.... but other benefits seems "useless" to me, since I don't travel much and also never played golf. Furthermore, I already got the Citibank Rewards Cards which also provide infinite access to Premier Lounge.

Another question - if I cancel my Infinite, will my credit limit be reduced? Now I have 30K......

don't have suitable cards on hand ...

only have ikhwan and UOB ONE(before M2C) ...

I'm paying utilities for 2 houses (grandparents + parents) .. it's about RM500 per month in total ..

previously received full RM50 cash back in earlier months ...

guess good times must come to an end eh .. dry.gif

just called up UOB CS to verify my April transactions' Merchant Codes.
I paid MBPJ via UOBPayOnline and for that transaction I was informed the code is 4814 (in my statement, it shows 'Majlis Bandaraya Petaling Jaya'.
Did a search - it shows 'Telecommunication Services'. Not sure if it will fall under Online category.
If it is online, then I would have busted by RM50 allocation for April. Will have to wait till end May to reconfirm this.

"online" is the mode of transaction, NOT the MCC for the transaction.

most cashback rules based on few logics:

1) mode of transaction
2) MCC
3) description

most of the eligible transactions under "Online" is because uob detected it as online/CNP and nothing further to filter.

for other instances, even if you pay TNB/TM at uobpayonline, it is detected as "online" but it also excluded them based on description too.

so far, uob havent excludedthose with "majlis *" descriptions, hence very likely your MBPJ @ uobpayonline already is under "Online" category.

For the foreign currency promotion, each cardholder is only entitled to the cash back ONCE during the whole campaign, right? So if I get cash back this week, I will not get any further cash back in the coming weeks even if I hit the minimum spend?

just trust the documents from UOB. they are accoutable for it.

if you hold RP accountable, they'll just ignore/shrug it off. typo. incorrect info. etc etc

Any amount? How about charging 10 cents to Yolo Card, for paying mobile phone bills at UOB Payonline website, once per month? brows.gif

Perhaps, approval may not be granted for such extreme method.

____

I wonder why UOB still does not want to retire VOX card, since VOX card does not have any more standout feature.

Hey guys just wanted to check on UOB's Easi Payment Plan. A bit confused

http://www1.uob.com.my/personal/cards/feat...atures_EPP.html

For example :

RM2000 purchase
6-months (2%)

Monthly repayment is : 333.33
Upfront Payment amount is : 40.00 <<< this is charged once only or charged into ontop of your 333.33 monthly payment?

Would like to check on statement balance. I've UOB ONE and YOLO card. My current statement shown ONE card with DR balance of RM400, YOLO is having CR balance of RM500, but, how come my current statement payable amount is RM400 (DR) and not consolidated amountof RM100 (CR)? As normally UOB will consolidated all card balance into 1 payable amount. Any sifu here experience before?

Interesting. In fact I did have a similar experience in my Jan statement, my yolo and lady's card.

Yes, in the statement, the total balance due is still RM400 (DR amount). So what i did was i called uob, transferred the credit amount from my lady's card to my yolo card.

Ooic, then I should call them to transfer partial CR balance from YOLO (i.e. RM400) to ONE to offset ONE debit balance.

what kind of "wrong calculation"?

1) you expect cb >RM20, but only gotten max RM20?
2) some transactions not counted for cb?

kindly elaborate more.

u need to really understand the benefits of each card you're holding, not simply whack and expect to gain something.

if the card has no feature that suits you, keep it elsewhere and terminate it.

just like your other posts: mbb ikhwan vs m2c, amex vs uob one for reloading tng. doh.gif

That's not the amount of Cashback, that's the total amount eligible for Cashback.

2% or 5% multiply by RM300..

Anyway you should be looking at somewhere else if you want Cashback for petrol..

No. There's a monthly cap.

MBB Ikhwan Petronas gives the highest CB in the market i.e. 8%
Second in the run is MBB Amex = 5% + 1.25%

Hello everyone, im new to this uob classic one card. Recently, I need to repair my car and it would cost me around 1.5k. I am thinking to convert it to EPP as I already contact the workshop and they told me their merchant is not support EPP. So, can i just call the bank and ask them to convert it for me? And one more question, is it 100% guarantee i would able to convert the transaction to EPP or there is a risk?

I think the bank will charge you some fee for EPP after POS.
And it may not be 0%.
Better check UOB website.

Of course. Pay full before or by payment due date; otherwise, late payment fee and interest will be charged.
But very unlikely as you're spending within your CL.

If you dont pay back full amount, it means uob will charge you interest at 18% p.a.

If you get epp, it's about instalment at lower interest. If you don't get epp and dobt pay full amount, means in a way is instalment at higher interest. Dont do instalment, no interest except for those 0% ones.

Other options, opt for balance transfer.

Basically you need another CC from another bank to work.
You're transferring your outstanding from your current card to the card and at the same time, converting it into a flexible installment repayment plan.

Approval from the bank of CC you want to transfer the outstanding to.
Similarly, as long as you have sufficient CL, your BT will be approved.

My annual fee charged on 1st April 2017 and i called on 11th April 2017 for waiver and successfully waived on 12th April 2017. rclxm9.gif  rclxm9.gif

Actually, if people do start reporting, i don't mind keeping track of the list. just that really not much feedback, even in previous thread. the MCC list is a good enough guide.

Someone asked the same question previously. Ignore whatever that is on ringgitplus. i suspect the 10% refers to the smart$ rebate from gsc.

I forgot to request for waiver 2 years ago and got charged AF for One Platinum. Appealed and still got to pay 50% coz I swiped after AF charged.
Last year, straight got 3 years AF waiver. Spend around RM300 monthly, almost exclusively on BHP.

You may take the risk to cancel the card and let the retention team to call for asking you to stay.
They may offer you AF waiver for asking you to stay.

By now everybody should have got the rm50 Cb for "“UOBM YOLO Credit Card Launch Campaign” (“Campaign”) which ran from 2 January 2017 until 26 March 2017.
I got 4 out of 8 tries pumping 5x petrol early morning. Funny thing is the two times I pumped petrol 30 minutes after midnight did not qualify but those done b4 8am were successful.

Supposedly following transaction date but there were reports before which this kind of transaction is posted in following month's cash back. So, you have to call CS to file a dispute if you want to be posted in April but it's not included.

Just called to cancel my UOB ONE card.

The CS lady say okay, will put in request to cancel.

Then I confirm with her whether will there be anyone calling me to confirm cancelation or maybe offer free AF waiver.

She say no.

So I can safely assume it's canceled right?

Just called to cancel my UOB ONE card.

The CS lady say okay, will put in request to cancel.

Then I confirm with her whether will there be anyone calling me to confirm cancelation or maybe offer free AF waiver.

She say no.

So I can safely assume it's canceled right?
*
Received a call from UOB today, and the lady offer me 3 years free AF.

So I plan to keep this card first hehe

Hmm.. My AF actually will be charged this coming July.

So I actually called to cancel my card before my AF got charged, and they called me to offer free AF for next 3 years.

Means AF will still be charged this coming June?

If so I might just cancel it for a peace of mind, since I really rarely use the card already.

previously apply thru mbb, they increase my limit 2x my current salary.

now my limit is since 2012 uob was my 1st card 4k.
its only 0.8x my salary.

still thinking want to retain with uob or not.
but for sure i will cut my one plat (due to AF)

(i got another card for online purchase rebate too)

YOLO card annual fees is waived if we swipe once every month (called UOB customer service, CS responded that swipe 12x in a year also entitled to annual fee waiver). So, can consider keep the card if u swipe once every month.

limit of 4k to keep YOLO card is ok if AF can waive.
I thought TnC wrote subject to approval?
It's auto waive after my 12x swipe? or need call for waive too even after 12x?

It make sense. 12x swipe/swipe per month during first year is the criteria that card holder try to fulfill in order to waive subsequent year AF.

Oh well, no point speculating about the annual fee waiver. When they put subject to approval for yolo, it goes back to square one whether you swipe once per month or not.

We shallcan quietly wait for the first batch of yolo ppl to report back when it comes due aug/sept. Not sure if anyone was that fast gettting it in august.

i forgot to make payment last month due to i was at overseas, so this month i was charged with financial fees.
however, in my statement this month, i do not have any cashback in it, eventhough i spent about rm300 on petrol this month.
is it affected by my last month payment?

p/s: this is on my one card.

Another RM 50 pocketed. Good to know UniFi payment via OCC UniFi is still entitled for cash back. biggrin.gif

Anyway, luckily it doesn't work like CIMB CR where Taobao Hangzhou will not entitle for cash back, I had two Taobao Hangzhou in last month's transactions. biggrin.gif

Interesting... how did you pay for astro, unifi and tnb?

If i recalled correctly:-

Unifi - OCC
TNB - Jompay
Astro - Astro portal

I'm thinking that my cash back is from Astro + Dining since i spent significantly on food last month

Based on your transaction, astro, unifi is definitely eligible for 6%. Plus all your dining at 3%. Your cash back will still be ~rm48.60.

So looks like your tnb paid via jompay is eligible. But then, jompay is not. Haha. I dunno really.
