Hello everyone, im new to this uob classic one card. Recently, I need to repair my car and it would cost me around 1.5k. I am thinking to convert it to EPP as I already contact the workshop and they told me their merchant is not support EPP. So, can i just call the bank and ask them to convert it for me? And one more question, is it 100% guarantee i would able to convert the transaction to EPP or there is a risk?

QUOTE(David83 @ May 4 2017, 11:18 PM) I think the bank will charge you some fee for EPP after POS. And it may not be 0%. Better check UOB website. How about the approval? Is it 100% I can get the approval for the EPP?

QUOTE(David83 @ May 4 2017, 11:21 PM) I found it. URL: http://www1.uob.com.my/personal/cards/feat...atures_EPP.htmlApproval should high as long as you have sufficient CL. What happen if I didnt get the approval but I already spent the money? Does it mean I have to payback the full amount?

QUOTE(David83 @ May 4 2017, 11:25 PM) Of course. Pay full before payment due date; otherwise, late payment fee and interest will be charged. But very unlikely as you're spending within your CL. Alright, thanks for the explanation. Let's hope I can get the approval, haha Normally how long it take for them to process the request? This post has been edited by jasonkw9: May 4 2017, 11:33 PM

QUOTE(adele123 @ May 4 2017, 11:30 PM) If you dont pay back full amount, it means uob will charge you interest at 18% p.a. If you get epp, it's about instalment at lower interest. If you don't get epp and dobt pay full amount, means in a way is instalment at higher interest. Dont do instalment, no interest except for those 0% ones. Other options, opt for balance transfer. Balance transfer? Can you explain further to me? eg. How it works? Sorry that im quite new to this

QUOTE(David83 @ May 4 2017, 11:44 PM) Basically you need another CC from another bank to work. You're transferring your outstanding from your current card to the card and at the same time, converting it into a flexible installment repayment plan. Do i need to get approval for this BT?

QUOTE(David83 @ May 4 2017, 11:49 PM) Of course. Approval from the bank of CC you want to transfer the outstanding to. Similarly, as long as you have sufficient CL, your BT will be approved. So are you saying that EPP is more risky than BT?
