It allows you to use the touch screen without looking at the phone
Which means you can control your Music and use Waze from your HU. It also works without bypass
Get the Digital AV Adapter cable, HDMI cable and connect the necessary wires to your car HU
Step 3 Pair your phone bluetooth with your car HU
Step 4 Plug in your phone to the Digital AV cable and the HDMI is connected to your car HU. At the menu, you will notice that there will be an arrow pointing to the right
Step 5 Open App Radio app
Step 6 Click on the right arrow on your HU. You will be presented with the word "connecting..."
Step 7 After few seconds, you will notice the Pioneer App Radio launcher is launched. Swipe right and you will see your Waze icon
Step 8. Click on Waze and it will switch to Waze app. First time connecting waze will prompt you a dialog asking you do you want external device control waze. Click Yes
Step 9. Waze will work and you can use the touch screen to play it.
Step 10: The moment you click the home button on your HU, it will disconnects the screen. You need to open back Waze from your phone.
With jailbreak, you can do more where the HOME BUTTON WILL WORK flawlessly.
The behavior will be as following
1) Plugged in the HDMI cable, it will auto connect to your car HU via bluetooth and AppRadio launcher will launch 2) Clicking the home button will open AppRadio launcher
Step 1: Download the honda app launcher and Pioneer AppRadio app
Step 2: Make sure you have activator installed on your phone.
Step 3: Connect to your car HU via bluetooth and HDMI
Step 3: Go to Settings > Activator > Anywhere > Bluetooth Devices. Step 3a: At Bluetooth Devices > Connected to Honda HFT. Select User Application > App Radio
Step 4: Go to Settings > Activator > Anywhere > More Step 4a: Select Application Launch > Choose Honda Launcher
Step 5: Go to Settings > Activator > Anywhere > Application Launched Step 5a: At Launch Launcher > Choose App Radio
*optional if you always plug in charger with HDMI together
Step 6: Go to Settings > Activator > Anywhere > Power Step 6a: At Connected > Choose Switches > Bluetooth
With these steps, your HU screen home button will work and whenever you connect the Digital AV cable in your car to your phone, it will auto open AppRadio where you can jump to other AppRadio approved applications.
When you press home on your HU, it will auto launch Honda Launcher app and it will redirect to AppRadio automatically.

I didn't snap much photo for the DIY. So, I simply draft out the DIY idea here..
First thing, buy a plug and play illuminated side step. Which I get from Sato auto acc m sdn bhd on Mudah
RM160 + RM20 postage to my place.
The side steps comes with the complete wiring and socket for our ride. Which means you no need to cut any wire. No warranty issue on this DIY. Just plug and play.
On the wiring of the side step, I tap on 2 extra bulb for the foot light (red/black wire). See the photo below.
Bought the T5 socket for the foot light bulb on eBay. Which cost me around RM5 for each of it. Then buy a wire holder from electric shop. Tied the bulb on it and put 3M double side tape behind. And ready to put below the dashboard. Oh ya, the T5 blue LED from eBay as well.
After the wiring work is done. Its time to open interior cover part by part to route the wire. Those steps I follow some tutorial on youtube. Important reminder. Be extremely careful to the handling of the retaining tabs and clips particularly.
Very simple right? hope you guys can DIY yourself a set like mine.

QUOTE(Thrust @ Jun 9 2014, 10:17 PM)
Let me help you guys know more about cars and engine oil. The reason why SC insisted on not changing the oil is because there's a reason to it. All new Honda cars are filled with a special type of engine oil from the factory. Its different from those sold in the market or SC. This type of oil are meant for new engines that requires breaking in thus the composition of chemicals, addictives etc are different.
If you guys google more, u will notice Honda USA have explanation on the 1,000km doesn't require an oil change.
I hope i gave some useful info for you guys.

City CVT Mode
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «
QUOTE
To make it easier to understand, CVT varies between a set of ratios (Let's say 3.5 to 0.7), while for 5AT each gear has its own ratio.
D mode = All ratios is being used for maximum efficiency (For AT, which means all 5 gears can be engaged, and CVT can vary into all the given ratio)
S mode = O/D Off, for Honda 5AT you are left with 1,2,3 only since 4 and 5 are OD gear. The same goes to CVT (which means the ratio range is now reduced to 3.5 to 1.0) hence dubbed as sport mode since with shorter ratio your rpm stays higher, and shorter ratio (lower gear) means more responsive throttle, and also better traction. It is like how you would go to lower gear on slope/going down hill/taking a corner.
L mode = Only the initial ratio (means only first gear for AT, first ratio range for CVT) used only for heavy towing or you are really going down a super slope
by ZeroSP
QUOTE
Yes, if you going up genting and you want easier time, put it to S mode. And going down hill the same also, you will want to use the lower gear ratio range in S mode.
I dunno what car you drive before but to sum it up.
D mode = D mode just like any car
S mode = O/D off in most general automatic car, or some car marked as D3 (As I have seen in Kelisa), cause their D is D4.
L mode = Same like normal L mode
Maintaining CVT and its performance, install a CVTF cooler (normally referred as ATF cooler, but since this is not an AT, I call it CVTF cooler), it works the same just to cool down your transmission fluid.
And for Honda, use the premium CVTF from Japan instead of normal grade CVTF from Singapore. The premium is called HMMF (Honda Multi Matic Fluid) that comes in 4 litre can and cost 2x of normal CVTF. Many claims they are the same, but I tell you no, it is far different. I have used the HMMF for the my home old City, the ATF-DW1 Ultra for my sister's City, and also the MTF-3 Ultra for my bro's FD2R. All Japan version have superior response, especially in the CVT and AT, since for MT the gear change smoothness depends on your clutch control.
Note: The new City CVT is paired with Torque Converter, therefore I am not sure whether HMMF or the HCF-2 should be used as I do not own the new City. Kindly refer to your manual book.

Tips for CVT

Tips for a long-lasting Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT)
Below are guidelines that will help lengthen the life of the CVT (belt system). The CVT allows for very simple operation (no gear shifting), but it must be driven by an informed driver. The CVT offers many advantages, but it is also the easiest component for an uninformed person to damage.
Maintain a vehicle speed of 5 km/h or more (at least walking speed). This prevents the belt from slipping which generates heat / wear. Do not overload the vehicle. An overloaded vehicle causes excess slippage/heat to the belt (especially when starting uphill). Always have a mud guard on front wheel (it helps prevent dust and debris from getting into the CVT). Try to always stop on level surfaces or in a downhill direction (reduces belt wear over the long term). If you ever smell burnt rubber, stop the vehicle (its probably the belt). If the CVT or powertrain begins to vibrate beyond normal, do NOT continue to drive. HILLS
If starting uphill from a stop, use the brake until the transmission engages (do NOT let the vehicle roll back as you push the throttle) Do not utilize the throttle to resist rolling backward (as people do with cars when on an incline) Use the brake to resist backward motion AND release the brake as you press down the throttle If you must go up a steep hill, get a running start (don't try to start from a dead stop) If you are going to "coast" down a mountain for an extended period Do NOT go faster than 15 mph (25 km/h) unless you remove the chain or driveshaft If you are coasting for many kilometers, remove either the chain or the driveshaft When going down a steep hill, it is fine to allow the CVT to engage so that you have engine braking If possible, stop the BUV on flat ground or on a slight decline. If pointed uphill when parked, accelerate firmly for 1 second (this allows the belt to grab without slipping). If on a hill or heavily loaded, ask bystanders to help push the BUV into motion as you press the throttle (as people did with the Model T’s). This reduces stress on the belt and powertrain. IF STUCK AND BUV IS IMMOBILIZED
Do NOT continue to push the throttle (a common way that belts are damaged) Ask others to push the vehicle back and forth (accelerate during the forward motion only) or, have several people remove the obstacle or, use a hand-winch or cable-come-along (keep one with you if in rough terrain) OTHER
Do not tow the BUV by raising the front wheel only (unless you remove the driveshaft) Do not tow other vehicles with the BUV If a small fray occurs on the belt edge, cut it off. Don't allow a rope, or twine, fishing line, string, etc near the CVT or the engine. If the belt gets wet, either let it dry, or dry it by putting a very light load on the CVT Store extra belts in a protected area and away from sharp tools & objects If driving through long grass, tall bushes, yearling trees, take caution because a twig can damage the belt if ingested by the CVT. When parked, always remove wheel chocks instead of driving over them. Do not substitute the the big sprocket (i.e. the driven sprocket) with a smaller size. Avoid driving the vehicle during a sand/dust storm (wipe-down inner surfaces of the CVT afterwards) Before wipe down, park the vehicle on level ground, turn off engine, and use wheel chocks. Do not let engine oil, gasoline, or diesel get on the belt. If the belt gets muddy, stop the vehicle and wipe down the belt and inward surfaces of the CVT Do not use a different size belt (write CVT part numbers on the BUV for easy reference) To observe CVT operation, put the vehicle on blocks & run the powertrain in a stationary position. Belt tension when engine is off: at belt midpoint, one can push the belt in about 2" & pull outward 1" If driving up a step or curb, Instead, hit the curb at 1 mph (and accelerate as each wheel contacts the curb). If possible, hit the curb at an angle (so each rear wheel climbs the curb separately) Do not get to the curb, stop completely, and then floor it

Based on the above information, most front shield tinting film must be 80% in order to be JPJ compliant. However none of the tints on the market meets the specific requirement.
Hence should I go forward to tint the car and pray it'll get passed should there's roadblock? Or wait till the tinting specialist produce new tints that meet the requirement?
Thanks.

Even my Llumar tint, i believe also failed.

I'm super new here. So miss all the previous comments. I'm planning to get the Grade E or V version soon. Still thinking whether wanna get the V version with touch panel. I heard that I cannot mirror my Note 3 to the 7" screen when I'm driving. Therefore I cannot use waze. Is there any solution for this issue without warranty void? Please advise. Thanks.

refer 1st post, you can get bypass cable without cutting wire
hi tachlio, thanks for the reply. good news for me. i saw a photo saying male and female connector is needed to bypass HU. do you mind to share a link that describe in details if you have one.
Dear All City V4 owners, I have the intention to buy City with E-specs or V-specs before CNY 2015. Now struggling in between these 2 specs as the difference is around RM7K.
My friend said I could simply get all the additional accessories done at store outside (instead of getting it from HONDA) with less than RM7K, is that true?
Need your kind advice on this coz I don't have time to flip through the comparison 1 by 1.

You could. But I'm guessing you'd void half the warranty on half the systems in the car. Do you need a touch screen, side airbags, 16 inch wheels, and cruise control? If not, then go for the E.

basically, you can get all those accessories done outside for less than 7k (HU + speakers), but, you won't be able to install additional safety feature like airbags that come in V specs, so, up to you, if safety is your main concern, then maybe going for V spec is the best option
Hi all can i get help form you all , about city can I know is it the Honda airbags have problem ?my friends told me Honda airbags kill some Driver is it correct?

Yeap....u wont be able to get 6 airbags, cruise control outside....not to say the automatic aircond control and rear air vent....also the touchscreen dvd player and 16 inches plus goodyear excelence for RM7K outside i think...

that'll work, 'if' i've sold the previous vehicle, but nope, the previous 1 is still in the family
That should not be a problem. My 1st car is still in use,so I requested the insurance company to withdraw the NCB( means I have to pay back on pro rate ). Then I transfer it over to my new car.
Mine is worth doing as my 1st car sum insured is only say RM20,000.00. But if the sum insured is higher than Honda City, then it might not worth it.

Somehow I have the feeling the SA is trying to recoup some of the rebate he gave by getting me to tint with him. All the tints he recommended are 50% more expensive that the ones quoted outside.

Normally the items that will void is rear demister, water come in to interior cabin or rubber seal broken due to mishandling by tinting film.

tint outside, may be cheaper, and you can see and know what film they are using on your car, SA tint, can quote you 1.5k, give you film worth of rm800, 700 masuk pocket

Question is, does Honda Malaysia even provide warranty for car defects for tintings done recommended by their SA? My SA says as long as I get tint from his branch, he can get his PDI department to close one eye should there's any defects resulted from the tinting.

Exactly the situation I'm afraid, and the fact that the tint he recommended is 1.5 times of the quotation I asked around outside.

If call HM, definately they will void your car warranty for the windows area. Please do remember only the particular branch recognize the warranty but not other branches. Anything only refer back to this SA.

gotta get back some money after giving it all out for the rebate, lol easy solution, just tell him that you've used all your money on something else, and will probably be eating grass after getting the car tinted, maybe he'll go easy on you

Change to PIAA silicone wiper solve the issue. Probably is the rubber get harden.
PIAA silicone wiper seems Goding with Goding price also @@" .... Anyhow, where to get it? What is the size if i'm going to purchase it? Which model recommended? I don't think it come Car Manufacture specific rather than measurement in CM.

In fact, you can't trust anyone in any branch. When comes to problem...all throw back to customer. What you need to do is send outside for tinting but make sure check the electronic part to ensure all function as per normal.

Sum insured 17K,sure worth transferring out the NCB to your new car. But since you have make an insurance claim under the current policy ,then definitely the NCB will be zeroed. Unless it is a OD-KFK claim meaning the third party is at fault. Then you might have a chance.

wait, are we talking about the same thing, NCD as in Non Claim Discount or something else ? renewed the insurance policy for the viva acouple months back in september, there's a discount, can't remember the exact percentage, but i think it's 25% or 35%, insurance claiming was back in 2011

Yea, we are. Some term it as No Claim Bonus or Discount . Both are the same.
On the NCD percentage, it start off with 25% then 30%,38.33%,45% and lastly 55%. Anyway in your case, I would believe it will be worth while to transfer the NCD from Viva to your new car.
Let me know, and I will gladly guide you on the process.

well same as my e-spec modern steel. Just gap on driver side dashboard. But i did not ask them to fix and not so obvious.
Can u check on fog light side, the right side got holes compare to left side. For my one, i think that hole is for fog light. By default suppose to cover with the black plastic (full cover)

Scam...OEM brand...i tint Llumar T450, only RM800 by SA. IRR 90% me thinks. At least Llumar is branded well known brand. Can't go wrong.

Rebates RM5k is worthwhile. But modulo kit for RM1.9k is aftermarket product while V Kool Security for RM1.5k is questionable. Normally the price is expensive for modulo bodykit and V Kool tinting.

SN 0W-20 is good for Honda City already (if you going for fully synthetic) but if you want performance go for the SN 0W-30.
I am planning to go for the SN 0W-30 fully synthetic engine oil on my 10k service. Do it at Kah Motors SC for a 25% Discount off the retail price as oppose to others which only gives 15% discount.
Price of the various engine oil
SN 10W-30 Mineral (4L) –> RM 91.76 SN 5W-30 Semi synthetic (4L) –> RM 127.06 SN 0W-20 Fully synthetic (4L) –> RM 150.59 SN 0W-30 Fully synthetic (4L) –> 232.94

Wonder why the huge price difference between 0W-20 and 0W-30.
I will definitely use 0W-20 when the 10k service comes in January. This is very cheap for full synth oil. And the trend is going for lower viscocity oil (with new SN standard actually giving more protection then before) and better FC.
I think the 0W20 is cheap...you will find full synth engine oil more expensive at Proton SC with their Shell/Petronas brands.
Nope. Only at 40km/h and 1 time only after car car startup.
Yeah, maybe I have sensitive ears because somehow I often hear a very subtle "clunk" (less obvious than the 40 km/h) when going slightly above 60km/h for the first time after startup but as like the 40km/h one, it only happens once.

40km/h is activation sound for driver and front passenger airbag while 60km/h and above is side curtain airbag activation. E spec only sound once while V spec twice. Info provided by Honda Malaysia.

E spec also got activation sound for side curtain airbag? Weird, since it's not in the car also..

Your vehicle is E spec or V spec? E spec dont have side curtain airbag. Try to check from car manual, VSA activation sound also happen while you driving on the road and it is normal.

I heard the sound too when exceed 60km/h, it is softer than the 40km one. E spec also.
weird.......mine V spec heard during 20km/h and 40km/h so far didt notice sound on 60km/h --- 40km/h is VSA kick in, if we off VSA off it will be no sound 40km/h I have drive this car over a month never see VSA activate before. even I cornering at 70km/h also not appear anybody know the trick to activate VSA in safe way?

they sacrifice performance for FC with this new SN engine oil so for those who want or going towards better FC the 0W20 will suffix. I am more for performance and would love to insert those outside but sadly it will affect the damn warranty so will take the 0W30 engine oil for performance.
After a 25% discount the price is quite reasonable and for those who will be doing your service within the month of December will enjoy even more discount. check out honda website for more details. i saw they are also giving "mysterious gift" too.

I think the new SN 0W20 is better than older standard 0W30. For "performance", thinner oil better mah, less resistance=more power output.
Anyway, City not racing car...no need racing oil....
you can ask Quazacolt about this. He is the god of engine-oil...LOL.

yup true true ... i am just saying what the SC and my good friend told me only. i am no expert in engine oil, just know a little only. If any pro or sifu out there care to explain would be great

hey guys, is there any manual override incase the keyless start button failed ?
Go see the video on post 1 first page or read the below
QUOTE(majorka @ Apr 15 2014, 02:09 PM)
the honda city 2014 keyless entry function a little different from this video:
1. when u put ur hand on the handle it unlocks (for all doors).. honda accord in the video only unlocks for drivers door 2. pressing unlock button will not wind down ur windscreen others. same. if u brought out your keys, the car can still be driven but once stopped could not be started only.
other things need to know: if ur battery drained u can use ur key like in the video and to start ur car, u have to bring ur key closer (there is sensor on your key u can see right below honda logo) to the dashboard (there is a small vent hole right to the push start button). then u press start.
But if the push start button rosak. u need to tow ur car, there is no place to insert the key manually to start the car.

Most probably is T450 also. Most of the SA just want to earn commission for your tint, if you find outside, same authorized dealer for the tint brand can easily get cheaper price. Last month one of my visit to Llumar authorized dealer shop, they mentioned this month got some special promo or something, perhaps you can drop by these tinting shop for their latest promotion price.
Payment via intrrnet banking... if use credit card... they charge 1.5% fee wor.... huhuhuhu.
Internet banking? wow....if pay more than 10K feel little bit worry. But internet banking got limit at 5K/day right, so need to pay many time. After pay, we need to send Payment receipt to them?
Another question is how to disable the alarm in case my car remote run out of batt?

Hi, just saw this product of led side step, and claimed that with the plug & play socket, it doesn't required any cutting of wires. I am new with this, so would like to ask sifu here whether this can be done. As i would like to have the led side steps but definitely would not want to mess with the wires and void the warranty.
It been a week...enjoy the car so much....encounter none of the problem mentions here...but got battery problem in less then 48 hours....got to jump the battery to go to SC....confirm the battery problem and got it replace...no more problem till now....
But wasted lots of money completing the accessories Auto fold side mirror, Side step, reverse camera, trunk tray, modulo body kits, door visor, carpet and tinting, damn the price in sabah is super expensive...check in mudah the price different is really a lots....now just wanting to do some coating....ordering Permanon Platinum now...
Any idea how to remove scratches from car? By the way i have done coating to the car. Some stupid cat decided to jump on my car and scratched it. Eye sore looking at the scratches

hi guys..any shop in penang island that install modulo bodykit with fair price?..been driving for 6 months d..i think it is time to install those bodykit..thx
If you meant you have paid full premium and you have 55% NCB from your other car , Well, it is still possible to get a refund if you wish to do so.
Correct me if I am wrong at my assumption.
Yes... you can.. i just get back more than 1K+ after transfer the NCB.
QUOTE(NXaqua @ Nov 25 2014, 02:09 PM)
That should not be a problem. My 1st car is still in use,so I requested the insurance company to withdraw the NCB( means I have to pay back on pro rate ). Then I transfer it over to my new car.
Mine is worth doing as my 1st car sum insured is only say RM20,000.00. But if the sum insured is higher than Honda City, then it might not worth it.
Yes.. that's right... no need to sell it off. Just transfer.

wait, are we talking about the same thing, NCD as in Non Claim Discount or something else ? renewed the insurance policy for the viva acouple months back in september, there's a discount, can't remember the exact percentage, but i think it's 25% or 35%, insurance claiming was back in 2011

I am going to receive my Honda City E Spec - Modern Steel on this Saturday as my car already arrived this Tuesday; therefore, is there any checklist when receiving my car besides those gaps and missing nuts?
Furthermore, is there a way to identify the given tinted as I had paid them to do my tinting for Raytech CS85.
nordingh, how much is that mudguard? Possible to buy only the front pair? Anyone change their v spec rim? What r the choices available for 16 inch rim?

I bought mine at Aeon supermarket. I guess you can apply it anywhere (under shade) you like as long as the car is clean.
Im using permaglass polymer sealant too...quite good...can last couple of months if you dont use soap to wash your car...but so bad it can just seal the paint....bought permanon platinum already....will coat the car as soon as the permaglass effect is gone...
BTW you can use rain x to cover the side mirror so that the rain water wont stick to it...

A longer term solution is coating on for all windscreen, windows, mirrors. Cost more but longer lasting & extremely effective then any water repellant solution you can buy over the counter. Welcome to contact me for more information. Click spoiler below for product review.

Wow, Thank you very much DaBestOne really help out. Intensive checking list for me, should really take some time to check on that day. GIVE YOU A THUMB UP!
Unfortunately, my car won't arrive tomorrow as SA told me JPJ system down . Didn't give me another date but when I ask "is it next week", she replied "Yupe".
Probably my SA gave me a very good package and so on that caused her to take her sweet time. Besides that, she bought the wrong number for me and had to pay again using her own money that made her laze off on my car.
Hopefully my car doesn't have any issue when I pick it up.

Hi guys, WTA, for Honda city i-Vtec 2009/2010, is it obligatory to do service every 5k? Does anyone here prolong the service intervals longer, i.e. 7k or 10k?
i paid a downpayment of 21.6k + 750 booking fee for v spec few days back. Went to bank and sign the agreement form too where interest rate for 65k loan with 2.58% for 6 years. Yesterday i went to JPJ maju junction and buy my car plate number with RM 210. Lucky me, the wait is only 5 minutes and the process of purchasing is just 2 minutes. Save $100 of runners fee.
and now here's my problem. No car available to give me. I ordered a grey color city V spec.
Any advice on my next course of action from you guys ?

buy number can only done in main branch. don't go to UTC centre. Is a very simple process, go JPJ , get your IC and prepare RM210 and above. From what i see, you can go there buy a number plate that you want, and just use it in the future.

The year end rebate is for car made in 2014, car manufacturers is giving rebate to clear their 2014 stock, as the cars value will drop when it crosses 2015. For honda city, honda is giving rm3k. Your rm4k is rm3k (honda) + rm1k (dealer). You can pressure your SA, says that you might cancel the deal if you cannot get the car in time for the rm4k rebate. As you have made the necessary downpayment and loan, they must provide you certain assurance too, dont compromise and change colour, unless you really like it.

anybody experience a "tak tak" sound when stepping on brake in P gear with the engine on ? i swear there's no sound when i first got the car, went to the SC yesterday, the service manager himself tell me that all new honda come like that, i was like "da heck "
I am about to pay the downpayment and now currently bargaining with my SA on freebies. My SA told me that she will give FREE tinting named Hyper Agard with 5 yrs warranty + 5 yrs Saman. Just wonder what grade of tinting film she is offering ?? Does anyone know?

You'd have to ask her what the specs are (like VLT%, TSER%, IRR%) for that tint. Personally, I'd forgo the tint that SA offers for free because I don't think it's a quality tint. Just my 2 cents.

Agree with you. The bundled tint usually is rather low end. I opt for max cash rebate. They might offer you tint vouchers but frankly speaking, it's just white elephant. I have enquired on llumar products, dealers can offer much better price than the so called package price after rebate of the voucher.
thanks to another member for coil mat , boot tray and pedal lock
sigh read at fb one member city kena stolen
can i know how this pedal lock working? it will only locked the gas and brake pedal or it comes with extra anti-theft features? sorry for asking this silly question... just need to know since i heard got thief using tow truck to steal the car...

the pedal lock will only lock the brake pedal, and the car won't be able to start when it's still locked, but if they use tow trucks to steal your car, then, even this pedal lock won't be able to do much help

i thinks it's still depend. my SA recommend me raytech tint, bcos they partner with raytech authorized dealer. the price SA quote me is rm1500. when i survey outside for the same tint at raytech dealer, they quote me in range rm1800-1900.
for another tint with mix film, SA quote me rm1700, but outside raytech dealer quote me rm2300

Feedback *Car is super duper shake during highway drive. *Car doors are bee ing, what an annoying sounds. But sending back for free maintenance tomorrow.
Not sure whether it's a tips for Honda owners, During the booking period, you need to pay RM700/750(forgotten) for reverse camera, but I didn't get it. I get it during the first maintenance, and pay RM500 for the camera only.

What thickness you tint your rearscreen? What product? Saw in forum mentioned that if use security film on rear screen, might causes light distortion. In my opinion, should not caused by the heater, more related to tint, did you turn on your heater after the tint?

I tot security tint is not allowed for the rear screen for emergency purposes?

So far no aftermarket product for that. If you really need the cruise function (always on highway), more airbags & can afford the V. Go ahead.
I think 3rd party auto cruise still possible....i think I read some people did it for Inspira....but maybe need to find the right people....not so easy. Airbags better not lah...work or not also dunno...lol.
Some auto-cruise parts for reference...but dun have for City...

Try to tint Raytech, Ecotint or 3M Brand. So far so good without wavy issue when driving at night.
Try to take out the rubber and use your pump to push the soft touch panel from the dashboard and you can hear a plastic moving sound back to position and adjust back the rubber into correct position.
mine is V spec. Notice they upgraded HU and ECU. that might be root cause? need send back SC 1st only know.... thanks for sharing.
Went KAH Motor SC today. 1 hour wait queue + 1 hour thier lunch break. + 2 hours locating one of the sensor faulty. action is No stock for the sensor need to order. Total 4 hours for the job without replace sensor. This is Honda Quality work!!!

Not sure whether this PJ branch Section 51 got stock or not. I booked mine in early Nov. You can call to check: 03-7784 8211 (Sales man: Liong)
I got my Honda City E Spec on Tuesday and my overall review, happy with it because no issue encountered as mentioned in the forum and SA was quite detail in everything.
By the way, I want to get some accessories but before that I would like to know the prices of the stuff that I am getting before getting my throat cut.
I plan to get:
1. Premium package accessories without the trunk organizer 2. Fog Lamp 3. AMARK OBD Lock (Is this brand okay?) 4. LOCKTECH pedal lock 5. Touch Screen DVD player with Reverse Camera - Someone quoted me Autolab is it good? - Does Hand phone mirror requires additional charge for Autolab? - Can someone intro me a good screen and price?
Please kindly PM me the best price for those items above at the market outside.
Collected my E model today! Everything fine and working well. I am satisfied with my SA service. Very fast, friendly and BEST service from beginning till collecting car! Explain everything in details. TWO THUMBS UP!

went Chan sow lin branch. Just for my case this time no respect bcos doesn't solve my problem due to no stock to replace after so many hours. One important thing just pity the car beside blue honda city 2014 WA xxxx N. they open up module as spare to try isolate my car problem. (eagle watch from upper floor). I not intend to reveal who's car. In customer view this not professional.

that is normal ...someone mentioned before here that honda is notorious in replacing your missing parts by taking from another car be it new or not. the case one was a screw cap or something for mudguard.
Anyway chan sow lin kah motors already have a few bad reviews from some customers here and the FB page, i recommend you try the kah motors SC in selayang or the puchong branch. they are better in terms of quality of service and PR.

Their SA also really bad..
One of the SA in Chan Sow Lin told my friend they can install original reverse camera with multi-angle support at cheap price. I went there to check, end up is not original, only 3rd party with single angle and the price is not cheap for 3rd party camera.

Wasting my time.
So how much they the guys at SC quote you for the single angle reverse camera ? is it more expensive than outside market? I have ask around outside shop they quote me RM 250 single angle (reverse only), RM 350 (reverse and front camera). RM 350 for both front and back I think is not branded camera

they quote RM350 for so call original from thailand... actually that are 3rd party... even at thailand original is already RM850+ not including sales tax.
Can easily be fixed. Just ask the SC to refit the door rubber strip. Or you can try DIY. Seem like the problem is due to the outer edge of door rubber strip has slipped into the gap. Grab the rubber strip at its base and pull it out and then install back making sure the edge covering the gap. You don't have to pull out all the rubber strip from the door. Just pull at the portion where the gapping is.

If you guys see this, why not take photos, write down all the details and car nos and report to Honda officially? Honda does not know if their dealers is up to no good if the customer doesn't report.

Thanks. Pls do give me his shop name. Perhaps I drop by when I am back from Penang. Just arrrived this evening with the City.
damn jealous, how long u waited since u the bank approved ur loans?
Booked the car in mid nov. Bank approved loan 2 weeks back, but was away for vacation, only signed the agreement and pay downpayment on monday. Car registered on thursday, friday SA sent for tint, today collect car. Noticed the common gap issue too, then service centre just make some adjustment on panel, managed to reduced the gap.
sorry for asking, but wont the SA be the one to make the appointment for us? U meant that SA will normally be slower izit?
You better confirm with your SA on the unit. Can contact the bank officer directly for signing of agreement, usually they can make arrangement to sign at the branch near to your area for your convenience.

any idea how can improve the sound insulation of the car? just got my car last week, but the sound insulation not that good. when a bike stop beside my car, near the side door, i really can't feel any big different with or without door closed. not sure can i lodge a complaint to during 1k service? and i also notice got rattling sound from the driver seat dash board. not so obvious, but can hear it especially when drive on an un-even road.

will take note on that. i think will try complain to sc during 1k service, see what they can do. if really no choice, then will consider it. by the way, you are selling coil mat? can you pm the best price for honda city? for all seat.
Was driving back to melaka on the weekend, notice a klik klik klik sound when cruising at 80-100km/hr on the highway whenever i step on the acceleration peddle...anyone experience this before? but the sound was not there anymore on the way back to kl... **sigh**
Tried to import contact for my wife's redmi note to the in car phonebook, the system shows import successful, but when check, only a few contacts was loaded. Anyone got a solution to this? Thanks.

Yup... I heard that sound also at the same speed. As of no w, no more edi. Probably still new that time.
Unless the VSA trigger sound remain at speed below 40km/h.
Hi, Can we install reverse camera in v spec at outside workshop? My SA told me outaide they dunno reprogram that radio so need do in SC.. when install still need do wiring or already has wire there?
VSA is not something you can try... it's auto when you lost controlled. Suppose to be auto already... open door, got light, start car, light out... I'm... I open the door panel, replace the broken clip inside and put it back... done.
I see, maybe I get it done at SC since it's not my car.

Both using different profile.
for example on my android phone, for call connected using phone audio, for music using media audio.
go to your phone bluetooth setting, touch Honda HFT and check got both or not.

If you guys see this, why not take photos, write down all the details and car nos and report to Honda officially? Honda does not know if their dealers is up to no good if the customer doesn't report.
Just called Honda Malaysia after sales service. The customer service representative is called Din. I told him the indecent how the SC swapping spare part from other customer to my car do the isolation. The answer I heard from CS rep is so sorry to hear this I will feedback to my management for internal circulation No reference number no report number from HONDA. this monkey is just assign to pick up phone let customer complaint and keep apologize to customer. Disappointed to HONDA
Not to compare Honda Product to BMW, just the car I owned for 10 years Kelisa. Never have break down or part faulty during warranty period. My experince Perodua car normal service 1 hour settle everything . Honda service at least half day even make appoinment The worst experience 4 hours checking problem on reverse sensor end up no spare part.
Poor Quality Control issue, Poor Customer service attitude

HONDA Car never be my option in future!!!!
Normal case. After sales service for Honda is hopeless. I dare to say even Toyota or Nissan still hold the lead when comes to service. At least they pay attention to customer problem and find solution to fix it. Not just claimed no spare parts or totally blame on customer. Their internal expertise on handling customer complaint is indeed poor. As an existing owner, I had done a lot of homework and spent plenty of time on calling them to follow up the case, or else they treat it as normal and ultimately forget about the case.
In fact, Recond car still better than New CKD cars as their workmanship is totally cannot be trust. CBU is the only way to show their commitment on building up a good car.

I complaint to Honda Malaysia the method Honda service center apply to isolate problem on my car reverse sensor problem by taking other owner car module and put inside my car to troubleshoot the fault.
Hey just wanna ask, is there anyway to check if our VSA and airbags are working as these two are the most important safety points in the car. I mean electronically check.. Drove the car for 3 months but have not seen VSA being put into use even when I take sharp corners at high speed.

I dont think you able try VSA / Airbag in normal condition.
My frd got hit from a lorry from side, and the car is drag due to side force. He said, can feel the car is somehow breaking itself during lost control.

I got the VSA activated (VSA sign lit up)a few times cuz one of the wheel was above the drain grill and the other on the road. The grill was wet and I was accelerating after slowing down. The wheel above the drain grill was spinning cuz of the wet surface. It will only activate itself when it feels that both wheel is not spinning at the same speed

Airbag will only deploy if there's a front collision and the sensor detects it ma, turning turtle won't deploy any airbags for it might even cause more harm than good

another tip is must wear seat belt. Else airbag wont deploy.
Owned a V Spec, and was using Waze while driving by choosing the "APP" option not the "Mirror Link". Displaying Waze thru the multi function screen was not an issue, but I couldn't type the address using the Honda Screen, it will automatically exit from Waze when I want to type the address. I have to type the address from my Iphone than link up again with the Honda Screen.
So question is, any of you guys can type the address directly on the Honda Screen?
