Eric,
you say you brought forward your NCD, so, it means you are paying less than 2.2k for the insurance ?

QUOTE(crayzee @ Nov 23 2014, 08:51 PM) promo only valid for cars register within that month, http://www.honda.com.my/promotions/promotions_details/39 scroll to the most bottom part, and read the remark if your car will arrive next year, that means it'll probably be registered as a 2015 car, so, maybe no more year end rebate ? |

QUOTE(ericlaiys @ Nov 24 2014, 07:32 AM) Yes. 1st pay full (2.2k). After that terminate old insurance with JPJ termination. Get the endorsement letter and pass to Honda SA for 55% refund. aish, should have thought about that...I am getting both refund. Old insurance and new insurance refund just wait 1 month to bank in. |

QUOTE(takagawa @ Nov 24 2014, 04:41 PM) Dear All City V4 owners, I have the intention to buy City with E-specs or V-specs before CNY 2015. Now struggling in between these 2 specs as the difference is around RM7K. basically, you can get all those accessories done outside for less than 7k (HU + speakers), but, you won't be able to install additional safety feature like airbags that come in V specs, so, up to you, if safety is your main concern, then maybe going for V spec is the best optionMy friend said I could simply get all the additional accessories done at store outside (instead of getting it from HONDA) with less than RM7K, is that true? Need your kind advice on this coz I don't have time to flip through the comparison 1 by 1. |

QUOTE(NXaqua @ Nov 24 2014, 09:31 PM) Hi, that'll work, 'if' i've sold the previous vehicle, but nope, the previous 1 is still in the family If you meant you have paid full premium and you have 55% NCB from your other car , Well, it is still possible to get a refund if you wish to do so. Correct me if I am wrong at my assumption. |

QUOTE(NXaqua @ Nov 25 2014, 02:09 PM) That should not be a problem. previous car is a viva with only 17k insured, not sure what percentage is on the NCD, claimed once beforeMy 1st car is still in use,so I requested the insurance company to withdraw the NCB( means I have to pay back on pro rate ). Then I transfer it over to my new car. Mine is worth doing as my 1st car sum insured is only say RM20,000.00. But if the sum insured is higher than Honda City, then it might not worth it. |

QUOTE(Slowpokeking @ Nov 25 2014, 03:53 PM) So advisable to tint outside? tint outside, may be cheaper, and you can see and know what film they are using on your car,Somehow I have the feeling the SA is trying to recoup some of the rebate he gave by getting me to tint with him. All the tints he recommended are 50% more expensive that the ones quoted outside. SA tint, can quote you 1.5k, give you film worth of rm800, 700 masuk pocket |

QUOTE(Slowpokeking @ Nov 25 2014, 04:02 PM) Exactly the situation I'm afraid, and the fact that the tint he recommended is 1.5 times of the quotation I asked around outside. easy solution, just tell him that you've used all your money on something else, and will probably be eating grass after getting the car tinted, maybe he'll go easy on you |

QUOTE(NXaqua @ Nov 25 2014, 05:53 PM) Sum insured 17K,sure worth transferring out the NCB to your new car. wait, are we talking about the same thing, NCD as in Non Claim Discount or something else ?But since you have make an insurance claim under the current policy ,then definitely the NCB will be zeroed. Unless it is a OD-KFK claim meaning the third party is at fault. Then you might have a chance. renewed the insurance policy for the viva acouple months back in september, there's a discount, can't remember the exact percentage, but i think it's 25% or 35%, insurance claiming was back in 2011 |

QUOTE(NXaqua @ Nov 25 2014, 06:50 PM) Yea, we are. Some term it as No Claim Bonus or Discount . Both are the same. i think gonna just leave it as it is, going to give it to my younger brother, less hassle, no need run here run there On the NCD percentage, it start off with 25% then 30%,38.33%,45% and lastly 55%. Anyway in your case, I would believe it will be worth while to transfer the NCD from Viva to your new car. Let me know, and I will gladly guide you on the process. |
