If you meant you have paid full premium and you have 55% NCB from your other car ,
Well, it is still possible to get a refund if you wish to do so.

Correct me if I am wrong at my assumption.

That should not be a problem.
My 1st car is still in use,so I requested the insurance company to withdraw the NCB( means I have to pay back on pro rate ).
Then I transfer it over to my new car.

Mine is worth doing as my 1st car sum insured is only say RM20,000.00.
But if the sum insured is higher than Honda City,then it might not worth it.

Sum insured 17K,sure worth transferring out the NCB to your new car.
But since you have make an insurance claim under the current policy ,then definitely the NCB will be zeroed.
Unless it is a OD-KFK claim meaning the third party is at fault.
Then you might have a chance.

Yea, we are. Some term it as No Claim Bonus or Discount . Both are the same.

On the NCD percentage, it start off with 25% then 30%,38.33%,45% and lastly 55%.
Anyway in your case, I would believe it will be worth while to transfer the NCD from Viva to your new car.

Finally my E spec/silver colour will arrive this 2 days.
Dealer just faxed me the engine and chassis number for me to issue the insurance for registration.
Also sliced off half the premium with 55% NCB from my old Waja :-).

Emm...let me re phrase ..the dealer allow me to issue my own insurance ,then they will register for me..
