the sharpenel kills right? I am proposing...

how much is there to reinstall the air bags once is activated?
*
There are no reports of shrapnels in the airbags of the current generation City. Only 2003 model were affected.

Also, why take the risk of re-installing them? There's no guarantees that the re-installation will be perfect.

Just drive safely at all times. This way you're in control of your own safety. Touch wood nobody crashes into you, that's all.

has any city owners trigger the air bag to be activated thus far in Msia? photos of the after math if possible...

or any good Samaritan can afford to activate the air bags to see the result of the air bags?

first of all, airbag is not like a piece of accessory that you can remove when you feel syiok,
second, airbags should only be remove or install by trained personnel,
third, why buy a car that come with airbags when you are so concerned about it's functionality ?
fourth, the current gen of honda city is not affected by the shrapnel cases
fifth, there have been cases where current gen's airbags were deployed in accidents, no such things as injury caused by airbags were reported

lastly, a quote for you,
curiosity killed the cat, why worry much ?

you can call Honda and discuss this matter with them
but i can guarantee they will tell you your car is not affected by this issue
if you still don't believe them then either you can pay them to remove the airbag or sell the car
then avoid the following brand next time:
Acura, BMW, Chrysler, Dodge, Ford, Honda, Infiniti, Lexus, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Pontiac, Saab, Subaru and Toyota

sorry again is it none at this moment or going to be soon?

think of removing the airbags... wen get car

If you are going to remove the airbags, go get a proton car. It's much safer in it rather than having a car without having airbags. This shrapnels issue has long surfaced but only recently that they confirmed that the Malaysian died because of this issue. So I guess Honda has stop using this airbag or the Takada company have done something to curb this issue. Why worry so much? Drive slow and safe.

HRV is Coupe style SUV. Which have higher ground clearance and good performance driven. Practicality is there and price wise is appropriate. Can arrange for a test drive to experience the overall car condition before decide to book this model. CNY promo is applicable to existing model but not for new model. As usual, only RM1,000 discount given + freebies.
*
I haven't gotten the chance to view the real HRV yet but from pictures published, it seems rather "smaller"in size. Of course I know I shouldn't compare it with CRV tongue.gif

i doubt anyone with a sane mind would agree to uninstall the airbags for him, especially HM even if he pays them, it's like asking for a lawsuit, lol

You can service at any authorized Honda SC. Your records are online so all SC have your details.
