Paying bills using ocbc online(Titanium) is more rewarding than using Citibank online.

Now i can pay using Titanium credit card for Indah Water and Pejabat Tanah Selangor (bil tanah). Can collect usage and rebates.

Bye bye my citibank cards, i'll cancel it before the annual GST is due!

This month so happen to have lots of cash, decided to pay up my c/card via cash.

Assuming my total is RM301.25, can I insert RM310 and the remaining RM8.75 shall be deducted from my total on next bill, am I correct?

Guys, do you experience problem when purchasing AA ticket using your OCBC Titanium CC? I key in the OTP and system show DECLINED. Tried three times but fail. I already activated my acc online, and I ever purchased MAS ticket successfully using the same card.

Well again, what if,

It is a week day,

Do you prefer to get 1% cash rebate (OCBC Ti) or 5x Treat Points (MBB2Card Amex)?

p/s: please don't tell me to come back to buy on weekend tongue.gif

Auto billing will blow away your rebate for that month, you need to segregate the payment in order to maximize the return.

yeap...like what fruitie mentioned, ocbc titanium only 1%
if urs is ocbc GE card then it's 2% for GE insurance, but u dun get the 5% for the 4 categories

after calculating, for my case, definitely titanium is better coz my premium is quite low

2. No, it is not included in any of the 5% rebate category. So, it is only 1%.

Hey guys, for utility & telco bill under auto debit via this cc could get 5%? I seen some of ppl paying the bill through online but I find it convenient very much if we use auto billing option. Don't understand why?

cempedaklife : Working at Mont Kiara. Just need to pay toll and parking to have lunch there and reload my Starbucks. Haha.

But then again, has anybody got his/her rebate at mid or end of the month since a certain amount is allocated to each month (and probably it is on first come first serve basis)?

it is first come first serve....

better to do it at start of the month..given that it's till aug, u got plenty of time to plan ahead....mid is still ok, end of month is definitely a big risk..

Reapplied for the card through an agent on 13th Feb and got my card today. I would say the agent did a great job given that my application was rejected in December.

Now I have the best 2 cc in town, more rebates when spending =)

Any offers or promos now for OCBC Tit? Saw the FP but nothing special ongoing. Or got some booths with goodies when signing up? Considering getting this to replace my SCB cards which have privileges removed.

1 1/2 years to be exact. Not appealing for the past 3 rejection even i qualified enuf and thinking that ocbc has their own stern criterias. After reading this forum i opt to give a try and it works. I think they are not updating my info and keep the old history for their quick referance.
Yup now it complete my Maybank 2 Cards.

Did anyone try to register digi as payee via OCBC online banking ?

Digi Account No format is like X.XXXXXXX
but the system prompted me "Please enter a valid bill reference no. (1018)"
The sample given was 2010 , the bill was no longer in that way...

In addition, can i pay my cc bill at OCBC Al-min ?

new design? The current OCBC Titanium card quality is not good .. the wording of the chrome part has peeled off for about 1 month of usage (I have been using Ti since a year ago) and now the card seems like my ATM card, scratches everywhere, hardly seen for the numbers on the card .. Is there any surcharge for changing the card into a new one? Be it new design or current curvy one

i've applied OCBC titanium in Mid of January , got rejected eventhough im qualified with per annum salary and i have clean record. i appealed again then got reject end of Jan 13. then i send one nasty email saying " im not happy with your services , i will cancel my saving account with OCBC and i think OCBC only want to give Credit card for pay monthly installment but not to a good pay master. so your bank only want to make money " After that CC called me , and say will review my application again . First week of Feb 13 got approved and got my card the following week smile.gif

Not only OCBC la, all the banks. I think it is the requirement from BNM.
Unless your salary is directly credited to the bank, it may still be considered.

When was that?
I got my Maybank2Card automatically by Maybank because my salary is credited to Maybank every month.
Despite that, I will still need to provide all the required documents for my OCBC Titanium application.

*
My card always stuck at petrol pumps! I think its because of the font for name and all is more bulged than usual. And yes the back looks horrible, and I haven't been swiping a lot too, started using Sept 2012.

Nevermind lah. I think i'll wait till i get the card tomorrow. If they bill me a card replacement fee, i'll give them a call to waive it. Shouldn't be a problem since i've been a very good customer laugh.gif

No problem. Fingers crossed. But if it is still the old design, then it's not exactly a bad thing either considering OCBC is phasing out this card design.

Just got back from Menara OCBC Masjid Jamek to sign up for Titanium Mastercard, took less than 5 minutes to fill in the form, they just photostat my IC and print the latest EPF statement from the EPF kiosk there.

How long will it usually take for the process?

For petrol to get your 5% disc, you would have to swipe from outside the petrol kiosk directly.

So with you swiping inside, to top-up your touch and go. The most you'll get is 1%.

Not entirely correct....
If it's setup correctly by the Merchant Bank
- Swipe inside the Petrol station cashier = MCC 5541
- Swipe outside at the pump = MCC 5542

OCBC Titanium MasterCard gets 5% for both MCC 5541 and 5542

p.s. HLB Wise gets 10% for MCC 5542 only

i don't know if you will have this new design if you request for new card at the moment.. but
usually they will assigned a new card number, exp date and the cvv for every card replacement.

Guys, how many months of payslip does OCBC need? So even if my annual salary meets the requirement, do i get approved 100%?
*
Not really and I must say the chances of being rejected is pretty high. smile.gif
I was rejected once and approved after that. smile.gif
Yes, met the salary requirement. Much more than the RM 36k per annum actually.

I applied last year, got it within first try. Submitted 3 months of payslip + EPF statement. Most likely because I only have 1 Public Bank CC with really low credit limit. OCBC gave me quite high limit, surprised me when I got it.

Through M2U. I add my OCBC TMC as "other card" and i always choose that whenever i pay my Jabatan Air Sabah bill.

Anyway, i used to go to the JAS branch you mentioned to pay my bill too and from what remember, i did get 5%. May be you should ring OCBC up to check what's the MCC code ?

When swiping at the counter you could be under a different MCC code.
Better call the OCBC CS to ask the MCC for that transaction and report to this thread

No. No extra charge at all. See below. You can add up to 4 non-Maybank credit cards into your M2U and it will take a few working days for them to verify your credit card details.

Yes. However, not all bills can be paid with other bank's credit card. But for bills that can be paid with other bank's credit card, you'll be able to choose to pay with your other bank's credit card.

Basically all utilities payment at OCBC Online gets 5% rebate. As for payment at Maxis/DIGI kiosks for example, I'm not too sure.

5968. It was not that clear previously so I went and moved my autodebit to my OCBC TI to see for myself. Unfortunately it is only 1% but then it is suppose to be that anyway, so i cant rant about it much.

i really hate OCBC, apply twice (first time 1 year ago) and both fail !

My documents was not complete last year, so i though this year will be approve, but get the news today i was rejected again.

How they evaluate actually? Im self employed, low risk business, annual income way higher than their minimum requirement, currently have a MBB2card for 1 year already, never delayed payment and my maybank current account balance is quite high. I really don't understand why they rejecting me, i call and ask their CS they said cant check the reason. mad.gif

My husband has Maybank and Citibank credit card. I am planning to apply one for myself. I think this is quite attractive for me. Can I apply online and they will call me?

My salary is credited into Maybank, so I will probably use Maybank2u to pay my OCBC credit card, will waste RM2 every month?

How long does it take for OCBC to mail the letter containing the PIN?

I just got my Titanium card 1 week ago and in the mailer it said the PIN will be mailed in a separate letter. It's been 1 week and still no letter. Do I need to go and apply for the PIN?

I got it within 1 week from the card activation date.

You can call the CS to check this out. I did that also and on the evening of that, it has arrived actually.

i apply CC from bank (XYZ) also got rejected twice. asking for lowest gold status. entry salary RM2K, but my salary way above RM2K

reason reject "bank call", when u ask specific reason they tell grandpa story (not relevant/no answer) maybe they are borne to policy "need to know basis"

call CS XYZ useless they ask me to refer BNM reason reject "can't check the reason" (don't even have courtesy to check with CC dept). went back to branch, sales adviser purpose solution but application got rejected sad.gif

tips*** u need insider to know how credit check works or else forever been rejected because of missing one supporting document.

my company bank-in salary direct bank (ABC), apply CC Monday, got next-day Tuesday very efficient thumbup.gif with plat status*** hmm.gif

fyi, i don't own CC for pass 12years. debit card roxx, start with M move to R then last ABC. reason switch from debitcard to creditcard all transaction stop 11pm-1am you can't pump petrol & pay yr bill at this hour vmad.gif even u have 10K in saving laugh.gif call CS ABC, there is nothing wrong with system, they start blaming on terminal problem thumbup.gif

this debitcard have so many limitation, worst debit card. does not support eCommerce, no plan for it.

i suspect they forcing me to switch from debitcard to creditcard, another D* tactic from ABC bank *theory only* whistling.gif

ABC
+request for Plat
+photocopy nric + epf statement

XYZ
+request for Gold
+photocopy nric + epf statement + payslip +f.d.

Mine is auto-billing and you will not get 5% only 1%.
I think this has been discussed before, even GE Titanium Card only gives 2% and not even 5%.

Wow, it is already V3....i missed the earlier posts..

MPPP (Penang) assessment rate - I thought is 5% so I used my card to pay online using OCBC internet banking in Jan and found that the rebate was only 1%.
My mrs. used her card to pay on line similarly on MPPP assessment and get 5%.
Can others who pay to MPPP share their experience?

Genting, Ho Mei restaurant is 5%.

How do you know it's unsuccessful ?
Maybe you need to wait at least 2 working days to confirm

Previously I saw a post said that can top up touch and go at petronas station with the cards, will save around 4.05% after the charges by petronas.

Which petronas can do it?
I asked Shell , 7-11, Newplus, All are accepting cash for top up touch and go only.
I wonder is that the policy set by touch and go?

But I thought after exceeding certain threshold, a SMS alert should be sent out right?

And also to all unsecured online transaction (online transaction outside OCBC internet banking)?

1% for my GE insurance.
1% is the minimum rebate, so if any of the transactions doesn't fall into 5% will get auto 1%.
