What was your current Statement Date ?
It will be posted on the next Statement Date. It will not post the rebate in the same statement as the transaction date
*
12th of every month. I did my transaction on 5th of last month. Should be this month statement based on previous experience with it.

I normally top up during 1st week of the month. Anyhow, just surprised it's not captured in this statement.

Ah, thank you!

I was just looking at dining under 5%, there's very limited places in Penang that qualifies. Maybe they should expand it to hotel restaurants too.
I'm now starting to assess to see what I can start paying using this CC once I get it so that my RM50 cap will be fulfilled, hehe...

I think Utilities itself will take up a huge chunk, and plus petrol. Is there a max cap for what you can get under a certain category?
If none, then it's a lot easier to manage this card =)
*
Limited restaurant qualifies? Thus far any restaurant that I went falls into dining category la, unless the owner didn't apply for correct merchant for their restaurant.

Even those chinese style restaurant also I'm getting the rebate

My statement is on the 12th when is my due date ya? July 1st or 2nd?

Don't know why my online account never states the due date this time (maybe because i have the 20% dining rebate offsetting the min amount to pay).

Thanks a bunch.

Any one has subscribed to the TM autopay to autodebit the telekom/streamyx bills, can please confirm OCBC gives 5% CB for this payment?

I used to pay my telekom bill at OCBC website and it is 5% CB.

NOw plan to use the TM autopay services. If OCBC still gives 5% this way is better as TM now gives promotion, rebate RM2.00 every bill.

Yes. confirmed

this is based on your experience?

Yes, and I actually replied few times. With the direct debit, entitled to RM2 discount, I have been getting it for nearly 1 year already.

I think should put this in front page as I actually reply this quite a lot of times.

But my advice is sign up autodebit with OCBC Titanium and pay using Amex during weekend before the bill cut off date

example:

Unifi VIP5 = RM149 per month

Autodebit = RM147 per month

Pay using Amex on weekend = RM145 (to get additional 5x point)

The rest let autodebit do it's work.

Thanks for the tips.  smile.gif
A few clarifications:
1. Do you have to pay (using Amex) before the next due date or next bill generation date?
(Becaused I encounter for TNB, ocbc still auto-pay the full bill amount, 1 week after I paid using Amex. Mean ocbc will pay based on amount billed and not amount outstanding.)
2.So in your example, Bill amount = RM147, and RM2 shown in ocbc statement?
3.And I can actually fully paid using Amex (RM147), as RM2 discount is given by TM. So no charge to ocbc.
Thanks.
*
1. Have to pay before the bill generated or else will be double pay. From my experience with autodebit, the autodebit card will pay the bill statement amount and not the outstanding amount

2. Yes, since my bill statement will be RM2 and ocbc will pay the statement amount

3. I think so can. But i experienced once which I overpaid and there was no RM2 rebate. Hence I always pay slightly less to make sure I received the RM2 rebate.

Another note to inform. Do pay before at least 3 working days before the bill statement date. Hence I always pay the weekend (make sure more than 3 days) before my bill statement

Few transactions surprisingly fall on 5% rebate:  icon_rolleyes.gif
1. Using Paypal to buy GSC ticket. (MCC code: 4814)
2. Elken Service Sdn Bhd - to Service my water filter. (MCC code: 5968)
3. Use ipay88 to buy coupon at livingsocial website. (MCC code: 4816)

MCC : 4814 - telecommunication services (Utility)

If so not bad, consistent with what fruitie mention previously.

Mind to ask you all paid via paypal through which medium? online or handphone app?

OFF TOPIC : how to tag fruitie using the @
