Wow, it is already V3....i missed the earlier posts..
MPPP (Penang) assessment rate - I thought is 5% so I used my card to pay online using OCBC internet banking in Jan and found that the rebate was only 1%. My mrs. used her card to pay on line similarly on MPPP assessment and get 5%. Can others who pay to MPPP share their experience?
Genting, Ho Mei restaurant is 5%.

QUOTE(shortleg88 @ Apr 8 2013, 03:54 PM) Let's say I pay my Maxis bill today through OCBC online banking, when will the amount be transact in my Maxis account. Thanks. If not mistaken ocbc website mentioned 3 working days...telco companes are not strict on over due payment if it is only a few days late. If it is urgent payment, call Maxis and tell them you have made a payment and if possible show or email them the transctin record.

QUOTE(jiro-kun @ Apr 11 2013, 05:40 PM) Hi there! Yeah thanks for the feedback. What you are saying is true. and I agree. I just wanted further conformation. My first card was HSBC and when I went overseas, there wasn't any problem in terms of acceptance. So in that case I was very satisfied. Been using that card for 7 years. Now I want to cancel off that card, as i see this OCBC card has better benefits for me. So yeah, taking the first step is never easy in anything, and I don't want to risk of going overseas, and in time of emergencies my Credit Cards fails me. After all for me that's the beauty of having a credit card, something that we can fall back on in times of financial emergencies. haha. As a matter of fact, my good friend, did tell me her Maybank card was not accepted by a merchat in Hong Kong. The merchant was frowning when he saw the card, and told her if she has other type of credit cards. Then she gave him, her Citibank, and the person accepted. So my point is, yes, in fact all merchant is suppose to accept cards that are varified by either MasterCard or VISA, however as you said, the mentality, is not only on the credit card owner, is on the merchant also. Just my 2cents. Cheers! Keep HSBC and apply for Ocbc Ti card....

QUOTE(cempedaklife @ Apr 13 2013, 05:04 PM) i know it's reported before, but i just to report again to give ppl assurance... woolworths (supermarket) in australia is under 5%. the time of my travel, i manage to exchange AUD for 3.25, statement converted to MYR was 3.28 does that means the extra charges is actually 3%, because of the 0.03 exchange rate diff? perhaps ronnie can update first post with a section for those oversea transactions that's under 5%? i searched the forum for this information before i went over sydney and it was reported as 5%. that's why i decided to try. if it's in first post, it's easier How did you get extra charges is 3%. Your currency exchange rate was 3.25 and the OCBC statement shown exchange rate of 3.28. The diffrence is 0.03 sen not 3%. The exchange rate difference in % = 100 x (3.28-3.25)/3.25 = 0.923%

QUOTE(motress @ Apr 15 2013, 01:34 AM) Hi, just a quick one. New on OCBC cc. (query on online payment) any rebate pay online for below items? - TNB - PBABB - TM streamyx (if auto-pay, what's the rebate for each of the above? Any extra benefit?) And i don't have OCBC saving/current account , can i pay using cc account online transaction? You can use cc account for online transction without having saving/current account with Ocbc. If it is PBA in Penang, dont think they ever accept credit card
