did u try it? My transaction on and after 4th Jan did not get any cashback at all
so i'm wondering whether 1/3/2013 actually meant 3rd Jan 2013. Oledi email to chk, will update back
*
No matter what, it is confirmed the cash back feature has already been removed. This card is totally useless.

It looks like SCB's recent move is to chase old customers away. That's witless.

Eh... I also don't see any cashback after Jan 3rd.
And I used this card on Friday to buy an iPad just 2 weeks ago vmad.gif
Had I known it's 3rd Jan, then I would have used another card instead.

Thanks for the update.
So... my plan is intact. Spend all my remaining rebates available by 28.02.2013.
This means excluding today, there are only 2 more Fridays in this month. hmm.gif

Happy Chinese New Year 2013 smile.gif

As some of you may be aware, I am kind of "blind" and since I don't have my 23" screen while I am overseas, I am not online most of the time as my eyes get tired very fast reading text on my Android Phone or iPhone5 or iPad or 14" Notebook. And there is a 17" Dell Laptop around but my son is like playing games with it all the time. Now using the 14 notebook and my eyes are already "tired".

Firstly, I would like to thank all of you who have taken the trouble to inform me that one of my blog is down.

I was surprised too that google have removed my blog. Actually I am extremely disappointed that my articles (hard work that kills me since I will chain smoke while I am in front of my 23" computer screen) that I write for free to benefit others cannot be read (maybe the person up there is hinting to me not to waste my time blogging, haha). However I am currently overseas and will update you guys in a couple weeks time when I am back home.

As for credit cards, for more than a month I have been using my Maybank Visa Infinite only since I am overseas.

and Miles - here is Alliance Bank, Maybank, OCBC and UOB Privilege/Premier Banking Red Packets with my CNY greeting.

Once again Happy Chinese New Year and may you be blessed with abundant fortune, good health and endless happiness.

Hi, hope u guys can clear up some blind spot of me on credit card.. I am a graduates that just starting work for one month in mnc with basic rm 2.5k. after done my homework n i find out that Maybank 2 card is best suite for me.
Here is my details for applying the card.

1. Purpose of usage: To buy a laptop around rm 3k for 0 installment for study n working purpose since my laptop spoiled again after 2 services.. n i m not intend to service it anymore since it is not worth that value.. Mayb in the future one or two year will use the card for petrol rebate purpose.
2. Plan n problem to apply cc not using cash: Since i dont wanna affect my 30 percent of my basic becos i wanna use it in saving n investment. so that i have more free cash flow.

So my question is

1. Am i eligible to apply the maybank 2 card with just oli the one month payment slip n offer letter without J form?(i found out that CIMB also require onli these 2 document for processing.) Last time my fren who have maybank account gt the issue of CC for free fr maybank after she get to work for half year.. So is there anyone who apply the card with least document without the J form or 3 to 6 month bank statement.

2. For the 0% installment, i found that some merchant that charge RM 60 to RM 80 one time for laptop product. Some charge for the 2 to 4 % of product.. So what is the different n how is the calculation of 0 %installment work.. cos for my calculation both is almost the same just the way they present the figure oli is different. May someone who know the calculation share with me?

Million thanks..

Letter of employment coupled with your 2 months payslip should be fine. Especially if you are working in reputable MNC.

If it stated EPP 0% then it is 0%. I.e. Rm100 pver 10 months will be Rm10 each month.

However that being said, pls visit reputable stores. Because some shops selling electronics or handphones usually like to hike up the price like you mentioned by few % because they do not want to absorb the merchant fees. Bear in mind they are not allowed to do that.
