as i just switch to SWU 5.0 mean no more tv pack, before this email i try still can play those free channel
if TM really phrase out VLAN for tv, mean i no longer can use this box right

I never receive this email and my IPTV VLAN is still intact.

But to answer your question, if the VLAN is gone, your TV box will no longer work.

This whole IPTV VLAN is a dumb idea from the start, inherited from enterprise networking.

Telco can achieve the same result purely with HQoS but then I suspect their China brand stuff cannot do it.

The wifi won't do anything for this tv box. It's only used for app you side load.

But for the white tv box, there's a streamyx mode which uses internet. However, since the email said the white box won't be working as well, I suspect they are changing vendor and hence a whole new system.

TM current IPTV and VOIP system are all Huawei.

Now you can install UnifiTV 2.0 in any Android box, or in your phone/tablet. The app has a cast button to help you cast its screen to your TV or projector.

You can also access UnifiTV 2.0 with web browser, such as Chrome in your PC.

In short, the Unifi box is no longer needed, as UnifiTV 2.0 can be accessed in multiple ways, similar to Astro Go.

Anyone else facing constant buffering on Disney Hotstar? Already few days still same. Restart router also same.

Hi all, was there any free upgrade for Unifi recently? Just received sms and email from TM for free speed upgrade and check the selfcare it is now upgraded.




This from the September bill so is before the upgrade email/sms


Also just realised that they never did send confirmation about that speed upgrade back in 2023 but my bill still says the 2018 upgrade.So is this my 2023 upgrade lol

Also another question is my current package overpriced lol, was on OKU package so never really noticed the RM229 for 500mbps

*edit: Though to be honest, we're fortunate enough that even if we got charged extra RM20 or 30 a month is okay as long as internet stable.

you want cheaper then take 500Mbps RM90 enough for you
you don't watch unifi tv right
take SWU 5.0 500MBPS RM90 without unifi tv

This 2023 exercise was rolled out differently vs 2018

They gave out the speed upgrade first without profile name change but they should had informed you (not sure why this had happened)

So most probably you had been enjoying the higher speed since few years back and now it is only your turn that they update the package name in your billing

Anyway, this is past so just laugh about it

If you want cheaper rate can read few pages back then you can save RM83.75 a month (if 500Mbps & taking out Unifi TV is fine with you)
