As mentioned earlier in the previous thread, I wanted to switch to Astro Fiber (500Mbps for RM 90) but was counter-offered by UniFi.

Currently paying RM 129 for 500Mbps+Ultimate+Free 600 minutes.

Counter-offer:
RM 90 for 500Mbps with a 2-year contract, and the price is perpetual, so after two years, it will be the same RM 90. It will still maintain free 600 minutes, but no more UniFi TV. It also comes with a one-year free Disney Hotstar+. Free router upgrade as well.

Already accepted the offer to stay with UniFi.

Yeah, it was a mistake. My sister misheard the UniFi TV part. I spoke to them to understand further when they called back.
No free 6 months unless it is RM 139 after 6 months. So no thanks.

So strange, I thought they'd have automated the process by now. Astro, for example, is so much more consistent.

Anyway today is 6 days past due, still ok.

Ya, just curious. 2-3 yrs ago, I tried, got varying results.

1. Paid on due date, account suspended later the same day. Reconnection fee not charged.
2. Longest is over 3 months before suspended. Reconnection fee also not charged.
3. More recently this year, neighbour's got suspended 3-4 days after due date. Dunno if got reconnection fee.

Anyway today is 9 days past due, still OK.

Astro, on the other hand, is very consistent. Suspend 1 day after due date and RM20 reconnection fee.

As kwss put it, at most you will have 1-5ms extra ping to servers.

I’ve been on 30Mbps CGNAT, and currently I’m on 2Gbps. My ping on Valorant to Riot SG’s AWS servers back during 30Mbps is around 14-16ms, now on 2Gbps, it’s around 10-13. I’m based in Johor just fyi. But even that is inconsistent as it’s depending on the end point, some servers was good some servers was bad.

But that doesn’t really matter with CGNAT, you think TM hasn’t done any optimization to their connection to serve end users? End users would be mad as hell if they’re deploying CGNAT without proper routing internally as the lower tier subscribers all be experiencing degraded connectivity and experience. And generally a normal user won’t be able to tell any difference if they’re under CGNAT or dynamic.

Personally the only issue I’ve found with CGNAT is more susceptible to CAPTCHA as some others users sharing the same public IP might have been abusing the IP, hence making other users face more CAPTCHA. Other than that, it’s basically the same experience as the higher tier plans from TM.

When we did ours in April, the day we got the transfer ID from Astro in the afternoon, that evening itself my sister got a call from TM. That marks the birth of SWU 5.0.
But yes, I also feel with the transfer ID should be quicker as it shows them that you are really moving out.

Now only 9th out of 24th SWU 4.0 - 300mbps @ RM119 [technically RM89 or RM94.6 with SST]

We all know that as more subscribers move from private IP speed to previously public IP speeds that the high speeds will eventually get private IP as well.
I only hope that those that have gotten public IPs with their upgrades (eg. 100Mbps > 500Mbps) will get to to keep their public IPs.
I now have 500Mbps (SWU 5.0) with public IP and I hope it stays that way.
Previously I had 100Mbps with private IP.

This morning my internet still like shit, so i prepare to file a complaint to Unifi.
Later I found that my account was suspended 

Problem was my account no due payment.
After complaint and finally get back online at 5pm just now

And getting public ip now

Wow, such audacity to say living room is a bad location. It is up to individual usage OK? Mine is also in the living hall as I spend more time in my living hall, though I also have a room for workstation. Also, I don't like LAN cable to make everything look messy and just doesn't fit my house aesthetic and design.

You forgot about public IP?

You can easily apply for public IP if you show some proof to TM. I’ve done it telling them I need it for cctv
