Hey guys,I wanted to sign an iPhone 13 for my wife and I saw that there is an upfront payment of Rm3293 and also monthly of Rm98 for 24 month under normal contract.Does this means the total amount I pay is Rm3293+(Rm98X24) which add up to Rm5645?

I visited alamanda maxis centre and wanted to switch from Celcom then get the iphone plan. When they did the eligibility check, i need to pay an upfront fee. What is the fee for? |

Visited maxis centre today, finally got my 13 pro graphite 512. Need to add share line too, due to the reason I don’t believe (they just want to upsell), but that’s ok, just want to have the phone after 2mo hunting. Just terminate the line and protection plan, that’s it. Merry xmas!

Anyone recently got their iPhone 13 Pro with Maxis? Been trying to get a blue 256GB unit for myself but seems like it’s out of stock everywhere.
So far I’ve heard from the staff is they will restock 10-15 units daily at Maxis Center, so need to go queue in the morning before opening hours to get it. But so far I’ve checked KLCC, MV, Desa Park City - all is got stock for PRO MAX but not PRO Meanwhile PRO 128GB still got stocks. Haiz 256GB so popular. |

so you can save 1k if buying through maxis? i have been with maxis for years now, i assume might as well go through them for the iphone rather than apple? is there any disadvantage other than being in a contract for 2 years? will the phone be carrier locked? after 2 years can i switch telco on the phone?

Ceh. Nobody went to maxis ka today to get the new colour?
I just got from mid Valley after maxis from mahkota parade don't want to sell me because u need to subscribe new line 98 plan. The CS said can terminate the new line after 1 month. I went to KL instead. Turn out, at mid Valley mcm lagi worsks. U can't buy unless u have a new share line. Mine is 98 with 1 shared line dy. So they activate new plan instead for rm40 per month. Worst is u can't terminate within 6 months. 😭 Wanna save rm 98 ringgit, I lost toll, minyak, time, and rm40 x6 = rm240. 🤣 But still better than getting iphone x in Singapore. |

I always knew Maxis is all the money and service to customers plays second fiddle. Today’s episode for me fortifies it 100%. My contract with them and by the way I have stayed loyal despite issues cropping up every so often for no less than 40 years, has expired sometime back but I had been waiting for the iPhone 14 series to come out thus holding on renewing until now. This morning I went to their centre to renew my contract in order to get a 14 Pro. But you know what was told to me? They do not allow existing customers to get the iPhone, not until end of the year. Only new customers signing up for new lines. How ludicrous can you get? Is this how an entity treat their customers not to mention long time loyal ones? If anyone of senior standing attached to Maxis reads this, I think and hope you advise the management to rethink your strategies lest you slowly but surely lose your customer base just like Astro now despite their monopoly, as much like you, they are just as arrogant. bobowyc liked this post

I always for the umpteen years go to their authorized centres and as my humble abode is near Sunway, Pyramid is the usual destination. After visiting there, I went to a Maxis dealership downstairs and they have no issue whatsoever in processing my request for me. However, they didn’t have my colour of choice but promised to call me when the inventory arrives.So, there you go. Maxis is, I reiterate, more into bulging their kitties than enhancing their customer service image which to start with, they have failed quite miserably. |

Went to Maxis Sunway Pyramid, asked whether can buy in store anot and the staff said in-store stock only for commercial sales (Customer who signup with a Principal line + 1 Supplementary line). Lol pretty disappointed to listen this especially from Maxis

Actually you can order from Maxis website, then select pick up from Maxis Centre, then choose Pyramid outlet from there. All within minutes. Ive been a maxis postpaid user for very long. Currently using my Note10+ with Maxis. When I applied for Note10+, this is the SS2 branch, they had an offer of 2 Note10+s for one price but need to subscribe to Maxis 158 and add one new supplementary line. I did as they said, and sold the other Note10+ within 6 months of my contract. lol. Now my Note10+ has been with me for 2 years plus. At that time both phones was priced at RM250+ i think, which at that time was quite a good price for 2 phones. But yeah, maxis has always been like that. Not sure if its to lure in new customers or what. But I agree with everyone here, they should have a separate deal for loyal customers. Ive been using maxis for at least 10+ years i think. Since prepaid and changed it to postpaid. lol

Went to a few maxis dealers to enquire regarding contract extension with my 128 plan, was told that whatever plan I’m on now, need to add one subline before they will sell me any iPhone 14, and to make matter worse, my 2 sublines are currently occupied, and I need to upgrade my plan to 158 so that the new sup-line can be added. How ridiculous was that?!. I decided to go maxis center in gardens and the incharge personnel told me that the allocation for walk in has all taken up for the day but they have stock if I add on one sup-line. Maxis is full of crap now!

With all these sudden policy change by Maxis in trying to upsell their plans and supplementary lines before allow walk in to sign new contract with new phone, will complaining to Apple on this conduct by Maxis will have any effect on them as they are one of Apple's carrier?

Guys and particularly those who had my same experience, this is for your information.
After a barrage of complaints from me, Maxis Recovery Team called me. They then arranged for me to go to their service centre and get the 14 Pro that I wanted without any conditions. The centre with the stock was [at TTDI. I took the liberty to ask them whether it’s their requirement to have existing customers add on before being allowed to renew their contract to purchase an iPhone and I was given a definitive NO. Does that mean that much like their dealers, each centre is given a free hand to conduct their business the way they deem commercially viable? If that’s the case, then for such a conglomerate. It leaves much to be desired. So, those who are still looking to get a unit, take note. However, with Maxis, you never know what can happen despite what they tell us. |

In fact, I don’t think external parties can interfere since it’s a commercial stand but correct me if I am wrong. The only recourse is to exercise your customer rights and opt not to give them your business. Port over to another telco. |

all the stupid upselling tactics today walk in suria klcc maxis all the same shit and best part i ask them what’s the diff i need to pay if iphone pro max vs normal iphone pro because want to compare the upfront and monthly commitment

Wow, interesting… been reading the last couple of pages and didn’t think maxis could sink any lower but apparently they have, hahaha…
I’m still patiently waiting for my wife’s contract to run out next month before we sign a contract for a new iPhone, but looking at all these comments here I think I better just try to order online as and when the stock becomes available than try my luck at maxis centres I wish I could threaten to port out but I can’t.. I’m using their broadband services and have unlimited data but more importantly, they are the only one with decent coverage in my housing area, hahaha… Anyways.. it’s strange that every iPhone launch this kinda thing comes up… You never see them adding any such BS T&Cs for their Galaxy Notes and S-whatever Ultra and what not… This post has been edited by attw: Oct 18 2022, 02:04 PM |

Looks like Maxis is having an issue. I porting out to other telco due to shitty line. It is almost 24 hours , i have yet to received the port out message from maxis.
I was surprised when i google about it and seeing many having the same issue. I call CS to enquire about it and was told 24 to 72 hours due to "system upgrade" Maxis seriously BS, i told them if i don't get the message today i will report to MCMC. Their legal team call me back saying that i should received by 6p.m (ngam ngam 24 hours) |

Made complain to MCMC regarding maxis trying to upsell their plan, got reply from their customer relations after a few days, offered me my iphone 14 pro max with ready stock, can be picked up right away, together with 1 month bill discount. Told them it is too late... Gonna port out to celcom anyhow.

Contacted them yesterday asking for stock then today already picked up my ip14 PM black color. Smooth and fast. Normal or zerolution also ok. But i opt for normal contract cos the phone cheaper. |

Went to maxis the gardens, not just they tell me to subscribe to a new share line, I also have to pay an amount of upfront, even though I am asking for zerolution. This is ridiculous.
Two years ago I got iPhone 12 pro online from their website, without the need for any upfront. |

while sometime maxis agent sucks, but zerolution usually need upfront for new customer, and upon CTOS checking not in red.
existing customer depends on yor rating in their system if not wrg, but still if tak layak will still need upfront payment. its written in the FAQ. |

I'm now on maxis family plan and I wish maxis can give a better Iphone offer.
Currently they are referring to RM 48 plan which basically no different with 24 mths installment with 0% interest from Machines. |

So I was in 1 Utama last weekend and saw the maxis dealer there, Speed Dial Sdn Bhd put up a sign on what stocks were available. I saw they listed a 14 Pro Max 256GB available and in Deep Purple too, which was the color I was eyeing. However, I was kinda wary about the terms and conditions imposed by these dealers, so I wasn’t too optimistic but asked anyway.
So the dealer says the T&C is I had to buy two accessories from them - and have to choose between a case, screen protector and/or cable. So the screen protector is the Amazingthing Supreme glass one - which you can get online at about RM70 or maybe just under, but they listed it at RRP RM89. The cable was a C to lightning, MFI certified one, list price RM70 but they said they were having a promotion at RM39 and last but not least they had an assortment of cases, all branded and all about RM99 and above. So I decided I wasn’t gonna buy their accessories and was about to walk away when the guy says, “Wait sir, maxis got promo - RM120 off the phone price so you can use that for your accessories.” So on contract (maxis MOP 128), the 256GB Pro Max was suppose to be RM4,804 but he said he would charge me RM4,684, and I could buy the tempered glass and cable for RM128, so that works out to RM4,812. Oh, and if anyone wants to know, no Onecard points for the phone, just the accessories |

Hi all, not sure if this is the right forum to ask but I picked up a second hand iP14 phone and was given this receipt from Switch that said the device is bound to a Maxis telco plan. When I asked why it's stated as such the seller said it's fine, the full phone amount is already paid upfront and in full so there is no need to worry.
For those of you who purchased the iPhones under the same Maxis plan, does your Switch receipt look the same? Should I be worried? Seller report lost or run away, then Maxis will get MCMC to block the IMEI right? ![]() |

As my 2 year contract ends in November, I would have to pay the penalty fee/cancel the current contract in order to sign a new plan for the iPhone 15 pre-order.
Does anyone knows if I have to cancel/pay the penalty fee in the Maxis shop first so I can be ready for the pre-order or can it be done and calculated automatically during the iPhone pre-order checkout? |

its crazy how Maxis requires you to sub to their 5G plans in order to pre-order the iPhone 15.
i had less than 3 weeks of my existing contract and they refused to waive it for me, i need to fork out another RM43 to terminate it otherwise i won’t be able to pre-order on the 22nd. sure i can wait for the next batch so i don’t have to pay the termination fee but my phone is already giving me problems so i need to change it out eventually. |

Maxis don't ask your to pay the mobile subscription for the balance of the contract term. Then you are free to make new promise over a new device; or make changes to your mobile subscription. Zerolution360 (no longer available) is RENTAL; is the one you have to return device to Maxis, but even that one have option to make it permanently yours. Zerolution is hire purchase - bank don't ask you to return your vehicle after you finish paying, right? |

If you are buying zerolution, you can now just go maxis website, simply choose a mobile phone and later the website will check your validity, if validity OK, you are good to go. Not just for the iPhones, and definitely not this year only. It happened during iPhone 14 preorder and perhaps even for the iPhone 13. During iPhone 12 time they didn't have this.

I think I read before in this forum, advance payment is forced because of bad payment history or something like that. Which is bull**** cos my bills are auto-debited.

Yeah, Blue Titanium seems to be unpopular color this round... everyone aiming for Natural Titanium or White Titanium. I plan to see the unit in person on 29/9 only decide in Maxis Store. How's the crowd last year? Just worried the crowd is damn a lot.... but I can see a lot of people opt to buy directly from Apple Store, Switch or Machine this round or even Lazada or Shopee.. Maybe telcon plan are expensive and unattractive....

Only reason stick with Maxis is they are the only telco offering normal contract where digi and celcom and offering something similar to Maxis's Zerolution which give less phone discount...
Normal contract has better discount and is better for those monthly bill subsidize by company.... IMHO la...... so still stick with Maxis la... even they are lansi..... |

I think is really about experience and if you enjoy it and loving it just go ahead. Different people have different priorities in life. Am considering terminating my Maxis as well. Tried to get the phone last night, added to cart but when I was about to confirm saw that it was pointing to an old email of mine, my hotmail email. So I backed out and tried to re-do again. Was asked for RM972 advance when I wasn't asked for one earlier during the 1st attempt. I asked the idiots CS at the KLCC Maxis center and also by phone. Told I'm lucky that it is only RM972 as other people got asked much more and I will get back my advance deducted against my bill. Idiots, I know it will be deducted and thats beside the point. Never been asked for advance payment before and I've gotten Iphone since 4 from them and am a 21 years Hotlink/Maxis customer. Useless bunch of CS people.

Hi, i tried to check my iphone status through the delivery tracker but it only show a blank page, anyone facing this issue? I tried using my phone and pc ( edge and chrome) but also blank page. I tried simple put a different code and it will say invalid, but when i key in my code it just show me a blank page.

Based on my personal experience. Queue: 1718 during pre order Ordered: 15PM Black Titanium 512 Opted: Picked up Penang Outlet I opted for pickup at a maxis outlet I’m familiar with. On 28 I text the staff if I’m able to go and pickup. He said normally “based on the SOP” ü need to receive text message informing ü to collect only ü can go collect haha. But his manager kind enough help me check my stock reach, and let me collect it on 29th haha Funny fact, I was so kancheong I went 8am, then I notice their outlet opens at 9am. My friend’s situation which Queue: 13000+- Ordered: 15PM White Titanium 256 Opted: Delivery to Penang House Since 28th he received status, assigning driver for his package. But till now 30th 3am. Receive nothing and nö updates. Unfortunately he is abit f-up cuz I just saw previous post that during delivery collected need IC verification. Problem is he order from her mum’s Maxis acc. But phone is under his own number, his own name, but main acc owner is his mom. the worst part is, his mum is at KL, while he is working in Penang. So he opted for delivery to send it to Penang. Not sure what’s gonna happen, but will keep ü guys updated on how it going to be. At the moment, Maxis still “Assigning our best driver” and not much has happen. Hope for the best for him. collected my ip15 pro max from maxis ttdi on friday. friday morning i received a sms stating my shipment is on the way for delivery but i opt for self pickup. Went to the store during my lunch, gave me name. Phone was ready for collection.
Weird that both of my friend who preordered on the same time as me also received a sms out for delivery who also opt for self pick up but their name was not on the list to collect at the store |

I just successfully port into Maxis on 2nd Oct 2023 around 3pm, and my data refresh is on 9th Oct 2023. ![]() Wonder the 9th is one of the data refresh day for Maxis, or coz i upgrade package to get the phone ( since the estimate phone collection date is 9th Oct 2023) |

i just called maxis and spoke with one of the agent and i kinda lost my cool complaining on how frustrating i am, askinng them to please escalate to your manage bla bla
they after a long 10 minutes hold, she said my phone is in the warehouse somewhere in pj waiting to be transfer to my appointed self collect center not sure how true is this or is this even real, keeping my finger crossed and she say hope they will contact me soon once is in the center |

actually doesn't matter if the status change to a different one or not
based on the 1st batch maxis po, as long as you are under this status, even if you do not receive the sms/email/call, you can straight walk in to your appointed maxis center to collect your device already This post has been edited by dc89: Oct 5 2023, 05:42 PM |

Just to share an update of my delivery order PMX NatT is completed even I checked this morning the status was pick and pack. The delivery guy called me 5mins ago. Guess NatT clan 1st batch will get their unit today or tomorrow

In d end they told me to wait for SMS… N also they showed me d list of orders r in pending due to shipment delays… Least they inform me d status I feel Fong Sam sikit |

They told me my phone is already in the branch but still haven't process yet still insist me on waiting for sms/call from them first but he say i can try walk in and check with branch directly woh |

They did some checks at the back and then said that my phone was there and then they did some collection process (which kicked in all the SMS) and gotten the phone.therefore you can just walk in straight right to collect it |

I managed to get my phone today 15PM 1TB natural at IOI City Mall. It was scheduled to pick up tomorrow 9Oct but the status of my order in Maxis Apps is “in transit 1st attempt”. Hence try my luck to check out today at the selected centre. Guess what, my phone already there but the namelist not yet finalized.
