Just called the contact centre and they informed me that the will check with the store if there is a physical unit available and will contact me back.

Probably just a tactic to stall you or to stall for time. To be honest, no use getting all frustrated over it. It is out of our control so just chill and relax

Even black has stock issues? Oh wow, didn't know that it was such a big hit! I found out from my friends in other telcos and premium resellers that their orders for IP15PM exceeded their stock availability at least by 3x

Yes, that is my biggest pet peeve and from insider sources, they actually outsourced the iPhone 15 pre-ordering to a partner or some other service. Seems like a major fckup on their end of things.

Yup, it is because of the poor initial SOP that a lot of devices were given out to the wrong folks, especially to those who ordered later whilst those who were in the initial pre-order has yet to receive their orders.

Thanks for the tip, I went to the Maxis Centre just now and when they asked if I had an SMS, I just said I received a call yesterday saying that it is ready for collection. They did some checks at the back and then said that my phone was there and then they did some collection process (which kicked in all the SMS) and gotten the phone.

DId you request for delivery or pickup at the Maxis Center? I would reckon if you chose the latter you should try going there and asking them about it as most 22-Sep pre-orders have already been fulfilled.
