its crazy how Maxis requires you to sub to their 5G plans in order to pre-order the iPhone 15.

i had less than 3 weeks of my existing contract and they refused to waive it for me, i need to fork out another RM43 to terminate it otherwise i won’t be able to pre-order on the 22nd.

sure i can wait for the next batch so i don’t have to pay the termination fee but my phone is already giving me problems so i need to change it out eventually.

i'm trying to understand the reasoning behind "die die must pre-order iPhone, cannot wait off-season later" rush.

Anyway you can still buy it starting from 29/9 if there is available stock, you can always cancel the preorder and buy it next week from physical store... I did the preorder just to secure my unit as I heard in other countries, shipping date is around 6 to 7 weeks after they placed their order.

So i did preorder just for insurance la..... not life and death la.....

Maxis gives nothing free, bro - it's been that way for years, hahaha. No freebies, slowest to the 5G party and most expensive plans. And yet we all stick with them...

Haha, yeah, I ported out from them twice - remember the fiasco of different plans for different people back then and everyone was screaming at them? That time maxis one plan 128 only had 3GB data, hahaha... how far we've come...

Mine no news yet, hahaha… Yeah, when I spoke to a maxis fella this afternoon he told me normally when the stock arrives at the centre then it’s onus is on the centre to communicate with the customer, and that usually happens on the same day of  collection. But you guys getting yours earlier probably means the staff at the more happening branches like Gardens or Pyramid etc. are more efficient or enthusiastic, hahaha… When you choose an obscure branch like I did, then like that lor… hahaha…

I just got from mid Valley after maxis from mahkota parade don't want to sell me because u need to subscribe new line 98 plan. The CS said can terminate the new line after 1 month. I went to KL instead.

Turn out, at mid Valley mcm lagi worsks.
U can't buy unless u have a new share line. Mine is 98 with 1 shared line dy. So they activate new plan instead for rm40 per month. Worst is u can't terminate within 6 months. 😭

Wanna save rm 98 ringgit, I lost toll, minyak, time, and rm40 x6 = rm240. 🤣

But still better than getting iphone x in Singapore.

This year i got my 15 very shiok. I got it last week at Japan. Bought it to Machine yesterday to pasang screen plotekter. Turn out, my phone being the show within the staffs. Ha ha ha 🤣.

Any iphone in Japan average price is rm800 cheaper than malaysia retail price. That would be Tax free. Current tax is 10%. But they got handling fee charge that range from 1%-3% depend on which shop u go. But even with tax, you can still get rm400 cheaper than malaysia retail.

People only worried shutter sound that cant be remove. But from what I experienced, shutter sound disabled automatically after i restore from an older phone and inserted malaysian sim card.

Anyone sign up maxis package at machine ?
What's the different if sign up at machine or at maxis centre?
As machine will replace for you if any defect and maxis will send it for warranty.
So if I sign up at machine for maxis package, will the same policy for machine apply (replacement if defect) ?
